It varies from student to student. I always start my lessons by having a quick chat with the student, just to see how they are. We then get into the content, using some games and other activities to help with the subject matter. We then finish off with a quick lesson review.
My teaching method suits student at any levels. With different students, I have different teaching methods which suit their style of absorbing knowledge. I'm patient and friendly so I can teach students at any levels.
My method of explaining things is pretty straightforward, in that anything will be easy to grasp if it is logical. A lot of students suffer from not being able to make logic or common sense of their lectures, and that is that I aim to achieve. As a previous engineer and now researcher, I can combine both practicality and science to form a comprehensive approach to teaching a subject.
My teaching method is engaging and fun. My ultimate aim is to make students independent and confident learners. I believe that students' comprehension should be analysed with a more engaging manner in the forms of quizzes and games besides written and oral tests.
I like to understand your basic knowledge, or what fondations you have, to be able to build more knowledge when you are looking for a lessons. If you need help for home work/ project, let me know where you are struggling, and I will bring some lights.
Before each lesson commences, I would make a lesson plan for each student according to their needs as well as preparing quizzes and worksheets to make sure they truly understand the topic they’re learning. I’m very eager to help students overcome the challenges they face.
As a tutor who has experienced schooling in maths and science, I understand that often it is quite difficult to grasp concepts of the syllabus or the course. I would go through course or subject requirements and make sure that my students have a solid and in-depth understanding of each section.
I always address pressing concerns with students, i.e. the topics that they're most struggling with. After tackling the difficult topics, I move on to getting the student ahead and well prepared for any assessment they come across. I find this method of teaching helps students achieve the best marks possible.
Tutoring, for me, is more than just educating students, it's about really making a connection so that they truly care about what they're learning. I make this a reality by combining my knowledge with my out going and confident nature to really form this genuine connection.
Students can come with their textbooks/questions/notebooks and we can work on the problems they are struggling with and cover the course content in an intelligible manner. I have a wide range of notes, tests, worksheets and mock exams plus their answers and offer an easy, patient and comprehensive tutoring style so students can easily understand the course syllabus.
Knowledge and time are two the most important things in our life. Gaining knowledge is both energy consuming and time consuming therefore time allocated should be enough for fun and lesson. The process is interactive thus each and everybody should contribute.
Tips for Solving Problems Divide students into groups of three or four. Based on what they learned during class, have each group write a chart of at least three tips for other students on how to solve word problems. The chart should encourage students to do the following when solving word problems: Read the problem very carefully. Point out key words that signify which operation to use.
I generally will go over your school's curriculum and topic structure for the year to ensure you are being tutored on things you will be confronted with in school. We will discuss your weak areas and strong areas. Focus on bringing you ahead of your classes and prepare you for assessments and lab practicals.
‘Chemistry is everything, and everything is Chemistry’ which is what makes the subject extraordinary. As a tutor of Science/Chemistry/Biology, I aim to impart knowledge with practical examples and to communicate Science in the most fundamental form so that students don’t merely learn for grades, but also develop a passion to build a career in the subject.
My lessons will be geared towards high school students who are finding difficulty in understanding concepts. I will help with homework and the more difficult conceptual questions especially in maths. My teaching method is using simpler concept to explain the more difficult ones.
I have taught maths, science and chemistry for 18 years to grades 7-12 level students. Over the years I have also gained degrees in Applied Sciences, chemical engineering prior to gaining diploma in teaching maths and science. Now I am studying project management courses at Curtin University. I love teaching chemistry most with the content knowledge and skills I posses.
My lessons are personalized to the need of the student. Typically this includes multiple explanations of concepts in different ways, question-answer based learning and teaching my students how to apply their knowledge in an exam and real-life situations. Use of diagrams an analogies are common in my lessons to cater for visual learners.
I'm a medical student in UTAS. Mathematics, however, remains one of my favourite subjects, and I would love for an opportunity to keep in touch with it by tutoring others.
My name is Max, I am from Berlin and I am currently enrolled in a study-abroad program at Swinburne Uni, studying chemistry. In Germany, I study a teachers degree in both chemistry and english. My stay in Australia is part of my scholarship that I receive from the Foundation of German Business.
I am a student pursuing Engineering Masters Degree at Edith Cowan University, Joondalup. My classes focus on increasing the practical knowledge of my students and are exam-oriented. I myself being a student can easily provide all those trips and tricks out there, to score the maximum. Classes can be conducted at places of your choice.
Hi, My name is Sneha Lohana and I recently graduated high school whilst obtaining an ATAR of 98.30 (99.90 with bonus points). I completed these subjects with the following results: Mathematical Methods - 17.8/20 English Literary Studies - 18.0/20 Chemistry - 19.0/20 Psychology - 19.4/20 (with merit) Research Project - 9.
I am a Bio-technologist having an experience of at-least six years of tutoring. I am a keen and passionate person for teaching students. I am looking for the students who are not good at science or mathematics subject and are looking for the guidance to solve their problems. I can teach students of any level specially 10 grade students.
My teaching method is very interactive and I provide constructive feedback as part of encouragement of student learning. I make sure that students understand and are confident with new knowledge. I provide ample opportunities for students to apply their learning .
My teaching methods vary depending on the individual student but the most important thing to support life long learning is the development of good efficient habits and the ability to adapt to new challenges. No one student is more capable than any other and all my lessons are based around that students needs. I hope to teach the student to be confident and successful as an individual.
My teaching style is to introduce the topic to the student as easy as possible in order that he/she is able to engrave it efficiently. Plus, the topic is not finish until the student is able to explain the topic to me freely.
I am a teacher that activates student engagement to achieve lasting desire to learn, research and discover. Many teaching institutions don't cater for physical learning styles (kinesthetic and visual); whereas I like to start my tutoring with a brief walk in nature to get the blood pumping followed by using diagrams to condense the writing and memorisation required by the student.
My teaching methods are tailored to each student to bring out the best in them (yes very generic). I build rapport within the first lesson to ensure that I can understand what areas they feel they need improvement and enquire the student to self evaluate their progress so i can see if they have acknowledged that they have areas that are lacking.
My sessions are based on students' class work with relevant and related extension/catch-up background as necessary. I prefer to explain things with references to real world examples where possible, as I find this is particularly effective for helping students to not only learn, but also apply the knowledge.
I tend to teach what is needed for the student to know but I also like to give extra information that is outside of the syllabus so as to capture the student's attention and allow them to see how what they are learning is applicable to the real world.
I prefer to start from basis and then move ahead and solve different examples and expect same from the student so that the concepts get clear. Before starting the lecture I also prepare some notes which can help the student to understand some concepts easily.
