My teaching method is always based on student's requirement. I focus on what you want to achieve. You want to pass exam, get good score, achieve fluent conversation skills or improve your writing skills. Depends on the lesson contents, I have different methods but always talk with my students to have better lessons.
My VCE lessons support and give feedback on what students have done and found difficult to do with my original VCE portfolio. For beginners, I focus students to balance with the Japanese skills that not only they can read and write but also able to speak at the same time.
Direct method but I can help you in English and Japanese. I only teach Japanese privately so you don’t need to waste your precious time. Your lesson time is all yours. My lessons will be held at a cafe, shopping centre, library...anywhere easy to access for both of us.
I am kind of person who always prefer to communicate and talk when learning a language, and I believe this is important to have capabilities in not afraid to make mistakes, and willing to express and communicate. For my teaching method and structure, I would like to introduce different topics of daily life such as simple, and easy dialogue in Japanese for beginner level.
My teaching method involves keeping students engaged through easy-to-understand strategies that help students excel in Japanese. I have a passion for the language and strive to share this love with my students. I understand the language can be tough but with the right skills, I believe anybody is capable of loving and excelling in the subject.
I will tailor the lesson according to the student, but a typical class would start from learning some vocabulary, trying to use it in a dialogue(oral/written), reading a text using the new grammar and vocabulary introduced and translating it under my supervision.
I will check with the student for what he/she have learnt or have knowledge of in the language and how the student has studied for it. Then I will either come up with ideas to make the learning fun and understandable OR if the student is more comfortable with how they studied originally, I will adapt to that and give advises and tips to make it easier.
I have experience teaching or tutoring: Biology- up to undergraduate level Chemistry- up to year 12 Maths- up to year 10 English- Up to year 10 Writing assistance- up to undergraduate level Japanese- Up to intermediate level I don't believe in one teaching style. Each student is different, and depending on the subject, will need a different approach to learning.
Making a language meaningful and engaging to oneself is key. If you don't have a purpose for using it in your life, then your brain will surely start to discard what you have learned. Personalise your learning.
I mainly specialise in beginner to intermediate students. Students learning the Hiragana or Katakan chart for the fist time, to creating complex sentence structures, having a great grasp on many different grammar structures. I love to make learning fun and interesting, Japanese is a great language and I know you’ll love it.

I work either one-on-one or in small groups, focusing mainly on useful phrases and vocabulary. If I do not know something, I will learn with the class. Once I am satisfied with their skill, we move onto more complicated skills.
Fun lessons with a fluent teacher - target those tricky bits with card games, focused activities, exercises in verbal, written and spoken skills, designed for the needs, interests, and individual learning styles of each student. My name is Michael. I have studied Japanese in high school, and lived in Japan last year, and I have a love of the language and the culture. I can tutor students looking to learn the basics, or those who want to sharpen their skills. My lessons are flexible and I cater to the individual needs of students.
No matter what your Japanese level is, my teaching syllabus follows the complete coverage of the four aspects in any language: READING, WRITING, LISTENING and SPEAKING . After determining the weakness of the student, I will change the proportion for each section and adjust where to focus more.
I love languages and so i really enjoy being able to share that knowledge. I like to teach students based on their individual needs and how they enjoy to learn best. I think every student learns differently and as such I would try my best to model my lessons as such. I want my student(s) to feel like they are learning in the best most comfortable way possible.
Maybe you can walk around with a "Lonely Planet" book and flip through the back pages where it shows you what you need to say in certain situation but it doesn't tell you HOW to say those words. The main topic of my class will be "Traveling in Japan". But I can also teach you the basic Japanese spoken-language in some other topic you desire as well.
I focus on what the student needs, at all ages and skill levels. I make the lessons fun and relevant. I can target the spoken language, written language or both, as well as cross-cultural fun if that's what's wanted. I design the lessons around the student needs and fit to individual learning styles.
I focus on learning experiences fun and interesting because students learn a lot better when they are actually interested. The lesson can be taught through various materials such as Japanese TV shows and comics. I will also try to teach Japanese that is actually useful instead of only focusing on academic Japanese, however, I am flexible to adapt my teaching style to students' needs.
My teaching style revolves around getting the students to become passionate about what they are learning, as this makes for a more fun and memorable lesson. For a beginner student, I would start with vocabulary and basic conversation, and then progress to learning how to read and write the different Japanese alphabets.
My teaching style is mainly for beginners of Japanese, focusing on conversation practice, grammar comprehension with some activities / sheets to help with understanding. I can do negotiated home visits within the Sunshine Coast or I can meet you at a library or University suitable for tutoring.
Students and myself can rely of visual, aural and verbal ways for learning and teaching Japanese at school level, as well as playing Japanese games. I'll ask students about their strengths and weaknesses in Japanese.
My main teaching method is based on reaching functional and conversational fluency through a combination of audio and written texts in order to foster passive language skills, as well as conversation practice and written questions to help develop active language skills.
I approach the topic by catering to the students needs and desires. Some students may want challenege? Others may like a soft approach, some may need to be pushed... I like to understand my student and give them the freedom to be dynamic.
