I am kind of person who always prefer to communicate and talk when learning a language, and I believe this is important to have capabilities in not afraid to make mistakes, and willing to express and communicate. For my teaching method and structure, I would like to introduce different topics of daily life such as simple, and easy dialogue in Japanese for beginner level.
My lessons are for people who are interested in practicing Japanese through talking with a Japanese native speaker. I can teach you oral and writing communication skills, fix your accent and grammar in order to make your speaking and writing more natural. I will make a lesson plan on basis of student's level of Japanese and interest.
My teaching method involves keeping students engaged through easy-to-understand strategies that help students excel in Japanese. I have a passion for the language and strive to share this love with my students. I understand the language can be tough but with the right skills, I believe anybody is capable of loving and excelling in the subject.
I want to teach individuals who are genuinely interested in language and culture. Whilst writing and grammar are essential, my main focus would be to cultivate the conversational abilities of my students. Everything from everyday life to occupation-specific scenarios, I intend to prepare my students to feel confident and proficient in their speaking abilities.
The lesson is held in Japanese only but English is occasionally used for translation/explanation to help students save time, understand better, and get more comfortable. The beginners and intermediate students are expected to take a couple of lessons a week to improve their performance efficiently.
I base my lessons on whatever you are currently studying in high-school and/or university. Whether it is Kanji or grammar patterns, I am very confident in teaching you the correct and proper way in Japanese.
I have experience teaching or tutoring: Biology- up to undergraduate level Chemistry- up to year 12 Maths- up to year 10 English- Up to year 10 Writing assistance- up to undergraduate level Japanese- Up to intermediate level I don't believe in one teaching style. Each student is different, and depending on the subject, will need a different approach to learning.
Making a language meaningful and engaging to oneself is key. If you don't have a purpose for using it in your life, then your brain will surely start to discard what you have learned. Personalise your learning.
I mainly specialise in beginner to intermediate students. Students learning the Hiragana or Katakan chart for the fist time, to creating complex sentence structures, having a great grasp on many different grammar structures. I love to make learning fun and interesting, Japanese is a great language and I know you’ll love it.
I have experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, helping them to reach their learning goals. I am patient and professional and can make tailor-made lessons to suit your individual situation, utilising various materials. The lessons will be fun and interesting.
My Japanese lessons are tailored to suit each individual learner, but are designed to cover the basics of Japanese language.
I work either one-on-one or in small groups, focusing mainly on useful phrases and vocabulary. If I do not know something, I will learn with the class. Once I am satisfied with their skill, we move onto more complicated skills.
Fun lessons with a fluent teacher - target those tricky bits with card games, focused activities, exercises in verbal, written and spoken skills, designed for the needs, interests, and individual learning styles of each student. Enjoy fun with a great language, or target those areas that need extra work in ways that take the hard work out of learning.
For a language, I believe the best way to memorise is by the use of repetition. This is obtained through weekly exercises (letters or words), flashcards and practising out loud. I would take on primary school students and early high school students who are just beginning to learn the language.
I teach a language by only utilising the appropriate language in the lesson (unless English is really needed to convey a point). I will engage with the student by prompting them to speak Japanese, and correct any mistakes they may make in their grammar or pronunciation. I will allow the student to mainly drive the lesson by prompting points they wish to be addressed.
My teaching methodology centers on first understanding the needs of my students and their objectives. With that I can taylor a learning objective sheet or syllabus utilizing various blended and direct instruction techniques. E.g. Using the computer, a tablet, a smartphone, the Internet in fun and meaningful ways that allow self-reflection and assisted autonomous learning.
I believe in teaching languages through lots of communication and interacting one on one. I dislike relying on textbooks as this is a good way to learn vocabulary and grammar but doesn't teach you how to use the language in conversation.
I love languages and so i really enjoy being able to share that knowledge. I like to teach students based on their individual needs and how they enjoy to learn best. I think every student learns differently and as such I would try my best to model my lessons as such. I want my student(s) to feel like they are learning in the best most comfortable way possible.
Maybe you can walk around with a "Lonely Planet" book and flip through the back pages where it shows you what you need to say in certain situation but it doesn't tell you HOW to say those words. The main topic of my class will be "Traveling in Japan". But I can also teach you the basic Japanese spoken-language in some other topic you desire as well.
I focus on what the student needs, at all ages and skill levels. I make the lessons fun and relevant. I can target the spoken language, written language or both, as well as cross-cultural fun if that's what's wanted. I design the lessons around the student needs and fit to individual learning styles.
My lessons can be flexible for you. If you are willing to speak spoken Japanese, I can teach you everyday Japanese we use with using textbook, anime or your favorite sources. And it goes the same for formal, written and reading. My #1 priority is you! I'll do my best to make my lessons fun for you.
Direct method but I can help you in English and Japanese. I only teach Japanese privately so you don’t need to waste your precious time. Your lesson time is all yours. My lessons will be held at a cafe, shopping centre, library...anywhere easy to access for both of us.
I'm Japanese and a student at UNSW, willing to teach practical Japanese at UNSW or nearby cafe. I can teach you both of speaking and writing skill. My policy is "practical and memorable way of teaching". My methodology would be decided along with your opinion.
I try to adapt my teaching methodology to the needs of the student(s). I have the most experience with teaching groups of students through games. I also try to incorporate my musical talents to create more memorable teaching moments. For one on one situations, I work to build a relationship of trust and teach through trying to cater to their interests.
I focus on learning experiences fun and interesting because students learn a lot better when they are actually interested. The lesson can be taught through various materials such as Japanese TV shows and comics. I will also try to teach Japanese that is actually useful instead of only focusing on academic Japanese, however, I am flexible to adapt my teaching style to students' needs.
Students and myself can rely of visual, aural and verbal ways for learning and teaching Japanese at school level, as well as playing Japanese games. I'll ask students about their strengths and weaknesses in Japanese.
My main teaching method is based on reaching functional and conversational fluency through a combination of audio and written texts in order to foster passive language skills, as well as conversation practice and written questions to help develop active language skills.
My motto for linguistics is enjoying. I would like to teach what my students are keen to learn, for example, speaking, writing or reading. I would like to teach Japanese culture at the same time through my Japanese lessons. it is going to be quiet different from proper tutoring. I would be like your Japanese friend.
I would like to make lessons interesting. As I mentioned that I was a teacher at after hour school in Japan, I know how students get bored or excited. I have a confident to motivate you and improve your writing, speaking, listening skills. If you're particularly struggling with one thing (for example speaking), I can definitily make specified lessons for you.
As an experienced language teacher, I always place importance on practicing what students want to achieve. Please feel free to let me know what you want to achieve so that we can create a better lesson together! If you want to practice grammar, I make sure that you use the target grammar repeatedly during a session so that you can use it in conversation with confidence.
