My teaching method is based on the individual learner. I have worked with learners at all different stages of learning. My structure of teaching is not rigid but more of a fun learning environment. A first assessment will be made with the individual to assess their requirement and what they would like to achieve out of the lesson.
I teach students of all ages: Y1-12 students, university students, Ph.D. students, university professors, business professionals, and adults. I teach both domestic and international students individually and in small groups. To ensure that my students are making the most out of each class, I have devised my own set of teaching method and system.
My overall goal as a Teacher is to help my students to reach their full potentials, both academically and as people. No matter what aspect of English I am teaching in a particular lesson, I make my presentation as interesting as possible so that my students will enjoy the learning process and will be highly motivated to make a maximum effort.
Certificate IV TESOL( 10638 NAT) from TAFE South Australia. British Council trained in English Language skills for teachers. Representative of English Network within GEMS schools. Bachelor In Education, Master of Arts (English Honours).
I believe teaching is a unique experience, not all students learn at the same pace, some are visual whilst others are theory based learners. Therefore I like to assess what kind of learner my students are, I thrive on making lessons fun and engaging.
I really enjoy seeing the progress in my students, so in our first lesson, I'll work hard to find out what your goals are, so we can begin working towards achieving them. I'll be asking you lots of questions to get you talking, and I'll often correct your sentences to help you speak more naturally and fluently. (I also really like to help with improving pronunciation.
My teaching method is friendly and fun! I am not set in any teaching plan - we will find what method suits you best and use that to help you improve. For school settings, I will read through the task sheet and marking rubric to fully understand what your teacher wants before using this to aid in my tutoring.
Freedom and humour are two of the most important things for me, both in teaching and in learning – these are the memories I find most humbling looking back on my own school experiences. The relationship between student and teacher is equally important and there needs to be space to allow for it to take place. I specialise in helping people take enjoyment in language.
I am a friendly, approachable and patient individual who likes to make students feel at ease. Despite promoting a relaxed and comforting environment, I will limit my own talk time in order to maximize the student's. I endure to make my lessons fun and engaging but also educational and learning focused.

Individual assessment for each student and scaffolding to build from present skill set. Incorporation of individual skills and knowledge and learning experience into curriculum to foster inclusivity and create relevant learning environment. Encouragement and rewards for small progressions toward larger learning outcomes.
I believe the best learning will take place when the student is engaged and enjoying their time! I therefore tailor lessons to suit interests and needs which ensures engagement with the topic. I cater to all learning levels from primary school up to University level.
Warm and engaging English teacher who personalizes all lessons towards what is best for the learner. Flexible with what can be taught from grammar to fluency and elementary to advanced.
My philosophy is to aim to make those I teach feel comfortable and confidant as they become more familiar with English as a second language. Students will learn ways to improve their skills in areas ranging everyday conversation to their own professional development.
I base my teaching on students' individual needs. I focus on oral English and better ways to express yourself assertively. I help students with IELTS needs and for other oral English purpose. I believe that with the right method, everyone can speak good English.
I start my beginner students with a lexical approach to the language, and then incorporate grammar slowly and clearly. I try to break down grammar structures and help my students "think" like an English speaker. I also cater to more advanced students looking to prepare for a test, interview, or just wanting to brush up on their English.
My lessons are based on topics, from the topic I will focus on the vocabulary bank, create role plays, work on the grammar, do a listening activity and discuss the topic, read articles, watch TED videos, all depends of students levels.
History and Art. I work in textiles and art. I have travelled to many countries to experience their art, architecture and culture.
Holly is a Writing Graduate, with a passion for the English language and a keen eye for editing and structural writing. My lessons are for school and university students; structured around the student's specific learning qualities, based on Low-Tech Kinesthetic Learning and a flipped classroom style. All students learn at a different rate with their own tricks to retain information.
Hi! I am very friendly and social person with teaching skills including University Lectures at Architecture School for two years. I lectured as well at Technical School and lectured English in Brazil. I had one year experience as exchange student in the USA and now living in Australia as Permanent Resident. Good scores in IELTS and TOEFL as well.
I like to personalise my teaching method to each student, as a cemented pedagogy will not work the same on everyone. Studying the ins and outs of teaching has given me the ability to do this. I like to be able to discuss the lessons with my students and work together to ensure that I am helping them to my best ability.
I try to tap on the students' interest by allowing them to be creative as they express themselves. I engage students in conversations and allow them to gain confidence as they share their opinions and ideas. As for Mathematics, with the help of some colours, songs and other creative methods to remember formulae and multiplication/division.
I like my lessons to be as fun and engaging as possible! I like to involve lots of student-focused tasks and activities (based off of their needs and interests) with plenty of opportunities to practice. I believe lessons should not be all about listening to the teacher speak.
Before classes, I like to have read the text that my student is studying. I read over their rubrics to understand the core outcomes of the module. With face-to-face teaching methods, I first explain concepts that the student does not understand. Then, I will go over any work I have previously marked from the student, and obtain more draft essays or other pieces of work that the student has.
I use a communicative approach for oral English and an exploratory approach using written models to enable the student to learn from real language. I believe learning language successfully requires good models from which to develop the feel for the language in all its aspects.
I believe that students have their own time and pace in learning new lessons or even in reviewing lessons. Rest assured that I will be patient, approachable, and will set techniques to different student so that they will effectively learn.
I believe in facilitating classes, with learning being focused on active student participation and engagement. Instead of rote learning, students are actively challenged to reach their own conclusions with questions, discussions and corrections. I also incorporate much application of the language in daily life through engaging anecdotes / stories and relevant examples.
Student-centred learning is my preferred methodology. I work with my students to determine the most effective methods for them to achieve their goals. I support students to identify their learning style and develop a learning plan based on their needs and timeframe.
My teaching is very much communicative based. My lessons are always fun and enjoyable,as this allows students to open up and find the learning process much easier. I do this through task based activities that include games and quizzes.
