I teach students to read music not only the notes, but also the different time tempos and both treble and bass clefts.
My teaching method is based on the people of their skill on piano and the nature of the learner. i will provide the resource for different kind of students.
I have had no teaching experience before but I believe and my piano teacher believes I will make a great teacher for younger children or beginner pianist, saxophonist, cellists and guitarists to help get them kick started on their musical journey.
I primarily teach for the client's purpose, whether that be for a graded exam, an upcoming gig, or technique heavy sessions for overall musicianship building. This is for beginner students, people who want to try it out before investing in an instrument, and so on.
My teaching method firstly is to ensure stable basic skills( eg. scales) before moving on further. Technic is really important too, as well as theory. This is to ensure that the student will know how to read the notes and knowing it at their fingertips.
I enjoy the Kodalay method of teaching and the Suzuki method of music teaching. Primarily to develop a family involvement in the music making process as well as presenting age and cultural appropriate musical concepts. I include reading notation, aural analysis and good playing technique. My musical teaching styles include, Classical, Jazz and Contemporary works.
Do, do, do! I think the best way to learn is to get in and do and make lots of mistakes.
My teaching method is to understand the student and working out the best solution that works for individual to thrive their musical potential.
I have teaching methods designed for beginner to intermediate students of all ages. I believe anyone can learn to love music and I am happy to bring this passion to any age or ability level. Navigating the music industry can be daunting at times but there is no time like the present to get started on your career! For budding beginners to advanced musicians or people looking to get involved with the business side of the industry, I offer my experience, contacts and resources.
My teaching method is based on whether they are a hands-on learner, sound learner, visual or all types, this gives me a better understanding of how I will teach an individual student. Before I would start a 'Lesson', I would ask the student if he/she knew about the topic, and then elaborate to give them a further understanding.
Hello there! I am an experienced musician and teacher with spots available for new students in Merewether (Newcastle NSW). I teach trumpet (and all other brass), guitar, drums, clarinet, piano, music theory and reading music to all ages and levels. Lesson lengths are available for 30 minute, 1 hour and 2 hour lessons, either on a fortnightly, weekly or bi-weekly basis.
My Methodology includes a broad variety of music teaching. I want my students to be able to do more then one thing in music but most of all, I want them to enjoy it. This means that I generally teach anything they want whether its jazz or classical, or there favorite pop song.
I would organise classes through small steps by gaining students confidence through little pieces. I would teach scales of differing levels and outline the basics of music reading through steps. I would use the syllabus of grades and teaching books to guide my students.
To make music FUN and discover all the benefits it has to offer Learn songs that YOU want to learn Whilst I encourage all students to learn a little theory, I do not force them too as everyone has different aspirations for their playing future.
