I relish finding opportunities with, and for the student's fun and interest while developing necessary skills for improvement. It is my philosophy that the job of their teacher is not so much as a dictator, rather a guide, hopefully among many, exploring music's joys together.
The student grow is the main focus on every lesson. That means that sometimes we're going to go slower or faster. Homeworks are a must. The improvement is impossible without practice so every student should has his own instrument. The lesson has always a duration of 1 hour.
I prepare students who wish to study for leisure and also for both AMEB exams and Trinity College exams. I have studied Suzuki as well as Montesorri and incorporate these methods into my pedagogy.
I can teach beginner guitar lessons through to lessons and tutoring for HSC students (in both performance and theory areas). I'm patient, easy to understand and want the best for all music students. I am proficient in reading sheet music, performing, and writing about music - which is a major component of the HSC music course.
I specialise in you, it's all about what you want to get out of the instrument. I teach theory and traditional approach to the instrument, but I like to pepper up the dull stuff with history and fun stories about the Bass Guitar and its many eccentric players.
My method of teaching is the same way I was taught. I start off by getting the student comfortable with a guitar and learning the basics. Once they are capable I encourage learning what you want to learn. I'll never force lessons onto anyone that finds it boring or can't handle them. To get better at guitar you have to practice daily outside of lessons.

We start the lesson with learning the technique, and then applying the technique on their favourite songs that they always love to play or sing.

I try to teach someone by helping them actually do a task rather than tell them how to do it
First of all I always find out what kind of music is my student actualy interested in so then I can focus their lessons on that particular style whatever it might be. Some students just want to know chords and strumming patterns. Some of them are interested in finger-picking and some of them might want to learn the solo guitar. You name it I teach it.
