As teaching is my passion, I was giving home tutions for students of high school, year 11 and year 12. I would also love to teach mathematics, chemistry and physics to high school students. My teaching method is explaining the concept, showing explanatory videos, giving tests to test the understanding of the students.
I like to arrange my sessions based on what the student thinks or knows will work well for them - if they do not know, then I tend to try a few different approaches and see what works best and what is most enjoyable.
My philosophy for Biology is a bit of a shock to those students who think memorising is 90% of passing biology! Instead, I ensure students understand each concept using a first-principles approach, continuously asking students to explain reasoning and the concepts behind their explanations.
As a tutor my aim is to give students a professional learning environment where they can receive help with any queries regarding the subject so they can excel in their assessments. The structure of the lesson will be based on the textbooks used in school and the student's weakness. Prioritisation of student's weakness and helping them improve will be my main goal.
Lesson description As everyone learns in different ways. I believe that it is essential for quality tutoring to be tailored based on the individual needs of each student. I typically favour explaining the concepts behind why theories or phenomenon are as they are- I believe this makes topics far more intuitive and engaging.
My tutoring methods are based on the individuals needs. I am willing to help the student work through classwork and course content, answering any questions they may have and explaining difficult concepts. Should the student benefit from a more structured session, I will design sessions as such to keep them focussed and help them achieve their potential.
Biology is taught best when it is made relatable. I use common examples and everyday occurrences to make complicated subjects more understandable. I assess the student's ability to learn and teach using the most viable method for the student to retain information i.e oral, visual, aural etc.
I am passionate about science and love to help students really understand the subject. Understanding is the basis of learning, rather than memorizing and forgetting. My lessons are based on the student's needs. I go through the theoretical part and use some questions to see where the doubts are.
My teaching methodology aims at building a strong basic foundation on the topic and making the student develop more on it by providing an intriguing question and helping the student extrapolate the concepts. Each topic will begin with the basics and each session will end with a simple question that will keep them motivated and also give leads on the next topic.
I am extremely passionate about teaching. I provide a learning environment that encourages questions, ignites curiosity and fosters love for the natural world and environment. I am very patient with solving a student's doubt. I make sure that each student gets to learn at his/her pace. I make sure that every students gets equal attention, irrespective of learning abilities.
I am a very patient individual who always ensures that whoever I am helping thoroughly understands their material. That way they will gain the skills necessary to apply the information on their own and in different contexts -such as exams.
I'm a calm, patient, organised and relaxed teacher whose lessons are geared towards anyone that wants help with their studies. I provide support in a safe environment that will allow students to thrive. I use the gradual release method of teaching, where I work through a problem, we work through it together and then they work through it on their own when they're ready.
I have 3 years experience teaching Biochemistry in a Catholic Univeristy of Cuyo (Argentina). The classes consisted in theorical dictation, writing exams and final oral examination. I try to make my students see that biology and chemistry are part of our nature as disciplines which explain practically every aspect of our every day.
I like to let my students guide the lesson. I will come prepared for anything within their syllabus however, they are the one who know what they need more assistance on so will answer their questions and ask if they have any questions. I also ask for any practice exams or quizes so I can come with prepared answers.
I approach the topic with their necessity or requirement for the current phase of the relevant field. I make sure that I cover from history/origin to recent updates, not just the textbook part but the real-life scenario.
My teaching methodology mainly focuses on illustration using diagrams and explanation with examples. For some topics I use animations for the better understanding. Biology has to be experienced not to be read, I think just reading alone wont help in biology and related fields.
I believe that interest in the subject being taught is most important, with its difficulty being fairly irrelevant, to a student who loves what they're studying. I take advantage of my contagious passion for biomedical science to enhance the students learning experience and academic performance.
My teaching method is very practical. I always make sure that my student is able to understand my point only then i move further. I do not believe in cramming according to me revising your lessons will make you understand your lesson perfectly.
I tutor high school and University students. Following an initial consultation and assessment to establish the level and type of support, we will develop a personally tailored one-on-one lesson plan to achieve the identified goals.
I'm a student doing a Bachelor of Health Science Degree, majoring in Naturopathy. I'm passionate about health and am fascinated by how perfectly designed everything in nature is, including the human body. I have confidence in my knowledge of the human body and I aim to ignite the same passion I have for this subject, within my students as well.
I have completed my Master and PhD at degrees at Australian Universities and a postdoc in Denmark. I would like to give science lessons for school, TAFE and University students and share my knowledge and experience. Flexible times and home visits.
My teaching method will be quite specific to the individual student. While I'm happy to set out a general structure for a lesson based on the current curriculum I will look predominantly to tailor my lesson to the needs of the student. I'm flexible in my teaching.
I am patient, empathetic and I believe that every student learns in their own way, and I change the way I present information to them based on their learning methods, so as to maximize their knowledge absorption. I will find a way to teach you the best way you know how to learn.
I am doctor, graduated MBBS and MD ( Physiology) from India. I am passionate to teach students Human Anatomy and Physiology concepts in the simplest way possible. I follow breaking down complex topics into simpler subtopics so that students can digest it well.
Learning is a step in understanding reality and thus enables a different perception of the world. I have an open approach to learning, and believe students should be empowered in their learning environment by being able to decide on the direction that their studies may take.
I personalise and tailor my classes to the needs of the student. I believe in shared learning and love facilitating discussions. I like to link to familiar concepts and being a visual learner myself, like to use visual props and diagrams during sessions.
I have a very didactic approach to my teaching method: where I will help you learn the fundamentals of the topic at hand using visual aids and connect them to the theoretical foundations so that you can have that "Oh yeah" moment, where everything comes together and makes sense.
I gathered information from multiple resources, arrange from basic towards advance level. Present to the students in such a way that it can be easily memorable. I also involve the student in the class to keep them attentive towards lessons.
My philosophy about teaching is to always make the concepts clear enough to be able to visualize and picture them in mind. This is essential when learning about medical science subjects, where learning by rote never helps the student.
I will teach students using the flowchart of descriptive essays like information. Sometimes, its very tough to understand the things in paragraph manner. So I used to make concise notes +flowcharts before teaching and would like to explain things in diagrammatic manner. Moreover, I believe in practical activities during my teaching.
