My lessons are aimed at all students whether you're in school or university. My aim is to make my students enjoy and love Maths like I did because when you do the subject becomes easy. Everyone could be good at Maths long as you understand the fundamentals and this will be down to your style and which teaching style you will find ideal, everyone is different.
My teaching method is really simple is to go step by step topics while touching base with other earlier topics if needed for one to understand the topic. I like to plan my classes ahead and leave work until next class, in which more time is utilised.
Regardless of where a student is coming from, I believe it is incredible important to approach lessons with patience and a positive attitude. I focus on identifying and supporting students through the specific challenges they are facing, so that they can grow and feel confident in their own ability.
The essence of maths is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple. I, as a tutor make maths look fun and easy for students who have difficulty in solving even the most basic questions of maths.
My teaching method is quite personalized (i.e. It varies from people to people as I don't believe in a blanket method for all). But I do use text as well as videos in my teaching to help with student's understanding.
Hi, I'm Marcus and I am currently an undergraduate student at the Australian National University. I've scored distinctions in mathematics at various major examinations and participated in Mathematics Olympiad competitions. I have a strong passion for mathematics, and I am willing to help anyone who wants to improve their understanding of the subject.
My lessons are based on making the mathamatical concepts that you have been taught in class as simple as possible. I will break down the concept and simplify each step to solving a problem. Then I will give many examples and practice questions that will require one to apply the concepts. I also help out with homework and assignments for class.
My teaching method is to use the student’s exam result to identify possible weaknesses in his/her ability. Then I will provide targeted exercises at said weaknesses so that the student will be able to improve faster.
My teaching method is giving a tutorial and making sure the student does practice to increase their skills and get better at the topic
My teaching method is introducing/strengthening the foundations of any subject and then ironing out any wrinkles in understanding to make sure the student understands the material completely. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement and being open to asking as many questions as possible.
My teaching method is based on an interactive process. It is not just me talking in the class, I give students a chance to come forward and share their ways and methods to solve problems. I try and provide little extra comfort to someone who finds it difficult to come forward in class, and due appreciation to those who don't.
I am exam-oriented which means I'd like to guess what will be tested in the exam and help my students get well prepared, because I believe that normally we cannot remember everything appears in the lecture notes. One strategy is to remember the most important knowledge and my job is to make a summary about the most important one in notes.
I am looking to assist middle school and high school children facing problems by clearly explaining concepts for a stronger foundation and tackling sample problems for practicality. The first lesson or a couple days before the first lesson I will request for the student’s syllabus and ask the student the specific problems he/she has with the subject.
I would love to structure the lessons as well as provided regular tests and sometimes homework so the student can be fully prepared for their exams. An example lesson would follow this structure: 1. understanding the level of the student 2.Theory of the topic 3. students asking questions on the topic 3. Example questions with me 4. questions by themselves 5.
My teaching method will be quite specific to the individual student. While I'm happy to set out a general structure for a lesson based on the current curriculum I will look predominantly to tailor my lesson to the needs of the student. I'm flexible in my teaching.
I teach 1) so that my students fully understand the relevant concepts, and then 2) so that they know how to formulaically answer exam-type questions to achieve the highest possible mark. My lessons are both for high school and university students.
I believe that a tutor needs to be a good observer, an analyst, and an empathetic collaborator for the students in their learning journey. She should be able to tailor the tutoring to the abilities and needs of individual students.
Clear explanations are the only foundation for building your knowledge and confidence. This is what you will get from me. I did extraordinarilly well in Y12, but I had trouble early on. In year 7, I didn't even know my times tables. However, I got the support I needed and some great teachers put me at the top of the state by year 12. I want the same for you.
I'm a phd student in mathematics and computer sciences and actually have experience in math teaching at school and university.
I use a mixture of the bottom-up and the top-down approach to teaching. I describe the big picture or the end goal of the lesson, give examples of the problems that can be solved once understanding has been attained. Then I start explaining the small building blocks and expand along the way.
If you need to help your children to learn very easyly i will help you. I am so smile person.
I am passionate, enthusiastic and patient, with the desire to help my students *understand* the work they are struggling with so that they can apply their knowledge and succeed in assessments. My lessons will aim to explore topics they are covering in class to aid in their education and not distract them with unneeded information.
I would like to consider myself as a potential candidate to make the best use of my strong interpersonal communication, ability to manage difficult situations and resolve problems and maximize my knowledge. I believe, teaching is a learning process and that is why I prefer to name my lesson as "interaction session". That means, a session is not only teach students but also fulfill their desire.
I always encourage student and try to find the way to make them love the subject by showing them the relationship between the knowledge and nature. Give them advice to solve the problem and increase their creativity.
I approach complex topics by trying to simplify them by proposing application based intuitive solutions rather than abstractions. This usually helps take care of math-phobia and gives a natural way for students to think.
My teaching method is to first ask students which area topics of the subject they find most difficult (i.e. algebra). I would then explain the topic giving examples and going through them with the student ensuring that they are following and understanding each step and why we do it.
Most often, I work through students' school homework and assignments with them, to help them achieve higher and to gain a deeper understanding of the work they are doing. I am also able to work through any other materials as needed by the student. I can teach either on ANU campus or at the Civic Library.
I understand that each student is different and I create a tutoring approach that suits their personality the best! It is important that my students are constantly making progress but still enjoy the learning process as I believe that a love of learning helps achieve great academic results
I tend to start by focusing of self-confidence. I've spoken to many parents who are concerned that struggling with maths is affecting their child's self esteem. I try to eliminate all negative self-talk from my lessons, and focus how to improve. I'll tailor my methods to suit each student individually, because everyone thinks differently.
My teaching method is to explain students to form deep understanding of concepts and theories while encouraging engagement. Then I let the students perform their own task with me assisting when necessary. I make sure I revise the content before every session.
