Hello! My name is Aditya and I memorised the first 20 elements of the periodic table by the time I was 15! When I was a student, I found that I learnt best when I could associate the concepts with real world applications. My teaching philosophy is based on this. When exploring any topic, I first aim to provide real world examples and experiences.
As someone who was supported by my Mathematics Professor Dad throughout my schooling in maths, i understand the confidence that comes with knowing your maths compared with those who i saw struggle in maths and thats where i want to help, to make those who struggle with maths confident.
I am a recent mechanical engineering graduate from University of Southern Queensland with distinction. The lessons will be structured according to the student's pace and depth of learning. I try to make the subject more interesting and applicable. Being a part of peer learning programs at the university, I can understand what a student feels when facing a problem.
I am a specialist Mathematics teacher with over 40 year teaching all levels of secondary mathematics. I am looking for students in the Mudgeeraba area who need and want assistance with their ongoing studies and assignment work. In my tutorials I give assistance with current work and spend some time being proactive giving ideas on how to tackle upcoming topics.
I am a patient teacher and I structure my lessons in ways that give opportunity for different types of learners. I am skillful at providing hands on, experiential lessons that educate students where required and also allow them to have fun doing it.
My name is Mike. I am experienced in teaching junior and senior mathematic subjects at public and private high school. I have always enjoyed studying mathematics. I like interacting with young people and being able to share my mathematic knowledge.
Hello! My name is Steve and I have recently moved to Melbourne from the USA to work towards an Engineering Masters Degree at the University of Melbourne. I feel comfortable tutoring a wide range of ages, from Year 6 all the way to Uni First Year.
I am a 20 year old male from the Netherlands. I believe that everyone can learn mathemathics, even though it can be hard and intimidating without the right guidance. Although improvement of the results is the main focus of my lessons, I also spend time increasing the self-confidence of my students.
I am civil engineer from Spain. I am 25 years old. Studing english in Perth so I don't have high level, in the other hand I have high level of maths knowledge. As a great student, I can teach about studies method.
I am really enthusiastic about teaching skills and short-cuts to master the subjects of physics and mathematics. Having a good grasp of the basic concepts is really important to pursue a career in engineering science. Being a post-graduate student myself really gives me an advantage to have higher aptitude in the concerned field.
Hello! My name is Zoe Knight and I am a recent graduate of a Bachelor of International Relations and I am currently undertaking my Honours at the ANU. Having been raised in many countries around the world - Portugal, China, UAE and Australia - I have a solid understanding of various teaching methods which I believe works to my advantage when tutoring.
I'm a very friendly sort of a guy who likes meeting new people, learning new things and helping out others. In my opinion you should enjoy your studies and don't take it as a burden or stress out. You should be studying in breaks for example take a break of 10 minutes after every hour or so, so that your mind freshens up.
I am Silvia Chowdhury. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) and have recently completed my study leading to the degree of Master of Science in Mechatronics Engineering from International Islamic University Malaysia. I have 8 years teaching and tutoring experience as a physics, maths, chemistry and biology tutor in Malaysia and Bangladesh.
Hey, i always loved teaching high school students during my free time. I am a merit student in my bachelors and during my school. I will first try to understand the capacity of student and teach accordingly. I will make sure he has strong basics in every lesson and make him do more number of examples. I will guide him till he masters the topic.
A dynamic and self-motivated person carving for challenges. I have ability and desired to work in fast paced environment, to take responsibility and work as a team. To work cross functionally to resolve technical, procedural and operational issues. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skill. Analytical Problem solving skill based on my strong academic background.
Completed postgraduate degree education and bachelor degree in mathematics. Focus lesson on providing techniques/approaches to improve learning habits particularly comprehension and mental skills. I believed that learning mathematics should be progressively done both by theory and problem-solving questions with diligence, practice and logic.
I have used the principle of High School Physics in the real world driving ships, firing missiles, avoiding collisions, communicating, navigating and surveying at sea and on land. I have also taught Physics to many students who have gone on to join ADFA, fly jets and drive ships. Solving Physics problems is like a game. Games are fun when you know the rules and strategies to follow.
My teaching method involves a direct approach - explaining and demonstrating how to solve a problem and then providing examples of similar problems for the student to practice themselves. Students are encouraged to bring mathematics topics they require help with and they will also be provided with extra questions to complete.
I like to base my teaching method of each individual student. I like to meet the student and their parent on the first lesson and get to know their learning style/areas they need help in, eg. exam technique, problem solving etc.
I believe that demonstrating and collaboration are the most effective teaching methods at the secondary school. The side benefit is the development of communication skills and teamwork. However, I have experience with all main teaching methods, including explanation, demonstration, learning by teaching, as well as some unorthodox methods, for example learning by playing.
My teaching philosophy rests on evolvement, growth and continual improvement of not just the student but myself as a teacher as well. I strive to make learning a fun process so concepts that appear dry and too mechanical for students can easily prove applicable to them later in their lives.
Studying Maths Subjects at Melbourne University means that I understand Maths. Being an u16/17s coach at Blackburn Newhope Football Club shows that I can communicate and transfer knowledge I know to people younger than me Teaching year 7-10 kids. Lessons begin with a warm up activity, followed by going through the main concept, completing questions and review at the end.
My teaching method is to start with the basics to gauge the level they are at and then focus on the areas of which they struggle with. I use explanations and go through worked examples which i have created as well as help students work through questions they have been given in class.
I use the Communicative approach based on student centred interests to facilitate helping students in enrichment and or inclusive strategies, by starting with familiar areas as a foundation and then building new material on these so that the student feels relaxed
Ideally, a student will know where they struggle, and that will help me help them - it's easier to help if you know what the problem is. Much of my teaching involves explaining complex concepts in a relatively simple manner.
My philosophy is that learning and playing are synonyms of each other. Therefore I am always eager to create a light working atmorsphere and involve hobbies of my students into the lessons to make the subjects more interesting. If my student for example likes to play rugby, I am going to integrate examples with which the student can identify him- or herself.
My teaching method is a relaxed environment where the students don't feel pressure to get everything right. I like my students to make mistakes so that we can explain thoroughly where they went wrong to improve performance in the future.
My teaching method is first of all, make sure the student has the basic math knowledge that will help to solve all the advanced math exercises in the next level. I also like to give tips to the student in how to understand what the exercises are asking for, before start solving it.
I employ a disscusion and demonstation based approach during my lessons. Disscusion helps the two way communication and help me transfer knowlegde. I want to also understand my student as this will enable me know their strengths and weaknesses as this will enable me help and know my students.

Perfect! Jacob is an excellent tutor and I highly recommend him to anyone struggling with mathematics. Prior to lessons, Jacob has looked and worked through the content I am doing at school. This is so he could prepare modelling and problems solving...
Perfect! After only an hour with Morgan I have fullunderstood at least 2 weeks of work that was covered in class. Morgan's explanations of the topics that we went through were very clear and concise. She also made learning fun and applied real life examples...
