I studied the Bachelor's in percussion in the Superior School of Music. I give fun classes for children and adults who want to learn to play the songs they like best or want to prepare their audition to enter a conservatory. I am very patient with beginners and young children.
Hi, I'm Joffre Videz! I studied Percussion in the National Conservatory of Music at Mexico City. In my Drums and Percussion course you will learn to play the music genre you want with a solid base, including solfeggio (reading sheet music), technique and theory. We will approach all of the rudiments and genres to achieve an impeccable technique and to be able to play the music you want.
I aim for the student's improvement through a structured trajectory or instruction, adapting myself to his or her specific needs. I give space to dialogue, understanding and creativity in my method of teaching.
I am a Stay-at-home Dad that is a freelance percussionist. I have played around the world in all kinds of music styles and love to teach.
I primarily teach private lessons, but am open to a group setting. My lessons are very tailored to an individual's needs: once I've assessed someone's playing I have a very good idea of what they need to do to become a well-rounded player.
If the student is new to percussion, they will be learning the basics. If they have prior experience, we will take that experience and experience and expand on it. I feel that each student is different so different techniques will be used for each student.
I base my lessons on personal growth and FUN! While it does take the basics to learn and grow, I believe music should ultimately be fun. So while exercises will be a part of the lessons we will also take time to learn songs you want to learn so I can help break down songs so you learn thing you want to learn.
The courses I teach are intended to develop a sense of rhythm and music in my students or perfect the technique of those who have already acquired the basics. Particular emphasis is given to improvisation and the development of a style unique to each of my students.
Hello! I am a percussion student at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Málaga. My classes are aimed at all ages, small children, adults, people with disabilities or anyone who is interested in learning and improving day by day. I teach percussion, harmony, analysis, initiation to music, music theory and music history.
Music is a beautiful combination of the two hemispheres of the brain (I know this isn't real science but take it for metaphor's sake). There is math and perfection of rhythms and harmonies within music, but these patterns mean very little without the creativity of the mind inspiring it to move in certain ways.
I studied Percussion at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I played in jazz combos, percussion ensembles, orchestras, as well as playing solo recitals on marimba, timpani, and jazz vibraphone, as well as competing in Concerto competitions. I toured worldwide on Cruise ships, playing in cover bands, jazz bands, behind singers and dancers in production shows and world-renowned guest soloists.
I am a qualified percussionist, working in symphonic orchestra, I offer drum and percussion classes (drum, marimba, timbales, accessories, etc.) that include technique and elementary repertoire of it. This course is aimed at any type of student who wishes to reinforce and expand their knowledge in the area and / or preparing admission exams to professional music schools.
I like to start easy with the basics, e.g. how to hold a mallet, how to make a full stroke, where to hit the bar. then I can get into how to read music and basic two mallet exercises. Than I can get into more advanced stuff, like playing solos, and four mallet technique.
I base my methodology on instruction that I was given from a variety of instructors from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee as well as the Conservatory of Music. The content of my lessons contain technique, music theory, snare drum instruction and reading music transcriptions, and coordination exercises.
A broad pedagogical range in the areas of symphonic, Latin and multi-percussion percussion. Anyone can learn to play, as long as I have the conviction and necessary discipline for the instrument, following my steps to the letter and doing their reading exercises, technique and instrument interpretation, will be able to perform percussions excellent.
