My approach to teaching is to make our content relatable and enjoyable for all the students I work with. I am passionate about inspiring a love for life-long learning – both in and out of the classroom – and I hope to help the students in my care achieve their goals and be confident in their own potential.
Hello! My name is Ben. I can help you with all things language-related. As a tutor, I can offer any of the following: - The clarification of specialised topics and concepts in linguistics. (Including: phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics/pragmatics and sociolinguistics.) - Strategies for clear, concise and structured essay writing.
I ensure that all my students have a fixed lesson plan and that before any worksheets are given they are familiar with the content, and that they have understood everything. I like to use notes, and visual aids such as PowerPoint to help them understand not only theory based subjects, but also practical subjects like math.
I approach my lessons by fundamentally considering the position of my student, his experience and comfort with the subject and my position as a tutor. I tailor my lessons on a timeline - results should be achieved in an appropriate relationship to investment, but ultimately I aim to build a rapport with students to push them to succeed.
I find out the students interests and base my lessons on that; a typical lesson might be looking at a favorite book and focusing on selected language items to learn or having an actual experience such as cooking and learning vocabulary from that and writing about it/ I am a senior teacher with lots of experience
I like to use the socratic method of finding answers. I work with students to find out what they need, and the best way to get there. I understand that everybody has different needs and learns differently and I tailor my approach accordingly.
My teaching method is mostly by face-to-face form, prefer teaching individually, but I also teach online via Skype, depends on student´s preferences.
My teaching method is to build meaningful, professional relationships with my students so that I may individualise my approach in a way which best suits them as a person, helping to progress their strengths and weaknesses.
I do a lot of experience based learning and try to make my lessons fun. I use music, cooking art and games to build vocabulary and try to centre my lesson around the student/s interests. E.g. A typical lesson might be based around learning to sing a new song, understanding the context of the song and learning some of the language features from it.
My methodology is to work with not for the child. I'm here to support and help him when he don't understand, to guide him in the good path when he does mistakes.
I have fun ! Forget the high school French class that were annoying. You learn 3 times faster when you enjoy to learn.
My teaching method is assistance with grammar and punctuation. I can proofread assignments and assist with reading comprehension for assessment pieces.
I like to personalise things as much as possible. Not everyone can learn in the same way and this is important to consider. Overall, I bring focus to problem areas in a concentrated way.
My teaching method bases on the need and requirements of my students.
I use the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) method while teaching foreign languages. In addition, my lessons are customised based on the requirements and preferences of my students. I always use my creativity and passion when it comes to creating my lessons. Besides, I am a big fan of audio-visual materials which are incorporated in my lessons on a daily basis.
I am a friendly, approachable tutor with a rigorous but patient approach to learning. My lessons plans are developed with the objective of reaching long-term goals in short time frames, however, each lesson will be catered towards the individuals capacity and needs and their unique requirements are taken into consideration to achieve optimal performance and success.
I believe that each learner is an individual so all of my lessons are tailored to each individuals' learning style and requirements to help you achieve in the best way possible. I help to develop good study habits and motivate you to achieve on your own.
I always work together with students to set targets for the achievement of their specific goals so that they can monitor their progress and focus on attaining the grade they need. Preparation for: IELTs CPE PTE English for Aviation English for medical exams - Tell me about your qualifications.
Oliver Delgaram-Nejad is an interdisciplinary (psycholinguistics) PGR at Manchester Metropolitan University. His PhD research examines the composite language and communication phenomena of schizophrenia, as relative to figurative language processing, using experimental psycholinguistic methods; his master's dissertation focused on paralinguistics: blended displays (i.e.
No two students are the same! I don't have a generic lesson plan that I use. Instead I meet students and draft a tutoring plan during our first meeting. Coming from a linguistics background (linguistics is science of human language), I approach grammar (and by extension, writing) differently than most public school teachers who more than likely hold literature degrees.
I have not a fixed method. It depends on your own goals, backgrounds and on what is more difficult for you. Normally, I base my classes on grammar, methodology of translation and so forth. I prefer to work on original texts, according to your level.
My teaching method is communicative. I help you to develop your skills by building on what you already know. I really enjoy teaching and love seeing my students develop. Lesson structure will depend on what you need and the content focus.
Initially I began by helping students with reading competence, but progressed to providing tailored lessons to both GCSE and A level students in English Literature, English Language and Sociology. My methodology consists of a discussion and follow on sheets.
I've been an English language teacher and teacher trainer for 20 years. For the past 14 years, I held the position of Senior Lecturer in TESOL at a British University. I am now self-employed and support the success of home and international students.
In keeping with my Classical background, I am primarily a Socratic teacher: I see my role as to model the thought process that the student should internalise in order to think for herself. This means guiding the student to ask ever-deeper questions of the subject material, and to assess her own understanding.
I believe in a practical approach. For those that want to speak English at a starter level. I will begin with simple phonetics and easy words, forming simple sentence structure, before moving onto more complex terminology, such as holding a conversation. For those that wish to brush up on English.
While following the curriculum requirement I create tailored-made course materials, creating differentiated materials, activities and learning outcomes to ensure that the more able students are stimulated and the less able have the best possible chance to achieve their learning goals.
My teaching method is mainly focused on following specification for exam boards and helping students hit the key points necessary to succeed in exams. Whilst it's important to focus on exam technique I also feel my enthusiasm and love for my subjects will help students to engage and enjoy topics they find challenging.
My students range from as young as 4 years old to grandparents, CEO's, entrepreneurs, parents, engineers, doctors and even other teachers. My teaching method involves a lot of practice. I will guide you through each letter and word, explain the meaning of new words. It is very important to me that I help my students as much as I can while allowing enough space for them to think for themselves.
I am lucky to teach all ages and levels, preparing students for exams and helping them reach their personal objectives. Each lesson is entirely based on the student : during our first class, we find out what our goals are and we design a way to reach them.
