I do not stick to the textbook materials as learning a language has to be an enjoyable experience. I always use some songs or oral expressions to explain nooks and crannies of the Korean language. I always encourage my students to utilise what they have learned throughout the course into their own life as language is a skill not a trophy.
I offer Korean lessons from an intermediate to advanced level (especially on Korean external exam). I prepare the learning materials for each students and make sure they understand the structure and remember every concepts that they have learnt. In order to achieve this, I make sure they get enough practice and advice via relevant worksheets and questions in a fun/relaxed environment.
Tutoring will be based on the preference and the purpose of the student - daily conversation on various topics, basic grammar, academic writing/reading/listening/speaking, Korean culture etc. Cost for the lesson is 25 AUD per hour for beginner class face to face.
At the beginning of the course, I also ask if students prefer to study only for verbal communication or also writing and reading skills. I plan my class considering student's goal and learning pace. I prefer my class to be fun. I tried to bring interesting contents to apply in class as much as I can.
Teaching is my passion. Especially, when it comes to teaching my native language and culture! I have four different classes. 1. Alphabet class - Anyone who wants to read Korean words and sentences 2. Daily Conversation Class - Anyone who wants to learn Korean for fun, improve Korean speaking skills 3. Kids Class - Any young children who need to learn Korean 4.
I base my classes more on speaking and pronounciation rather than grammar or reading. Plus, I will share my experience in Korea.
annyeonghaseyo! 안녕하세요! 반가워요 :) I help students to understand and learn the correct way of writing and speaking Korean and then use resources such as Kpops, Kdramas to recap the content with fun. I hope students to have at least one of their favourite Korean-cultured interest that they are willing to learn and utilise their Korean skills more and more.
My teaching style is based on the needs of a student. If a student needs a particular focus on one aspect than another, I am to accomodate that need every time a lesson is planned. In general, I am a firm believer in grammar in learning a second language. I will, hence, provide students with the nitty-gritty of how even the smallest of bits of a sentence works.
Once I want to express, I need to know a lot of words. So I get the word first. Then, use words to make common real-life sentences. Of course, the pronunciation also learns.
Based on the purpose of learners' learning Korean, I will develop relevant teaching materials and discuss them with learners to refine the details of learning and teaching. Materials would contain books, any text on the line, music, poem, TV drama etc. This also means setting goals and develop strategies regarding how often to study and how to study and assess.
I have experience in both classroom environment and private lessons. I teach Korean differently compared to the official KLPT, focusing more on the simple vowels, then consonants, ensuring that the student is familiar with the concepts before moving on to the grammar.
I'm using my own teaching materials. This is my brief class schedule. - Test/Conversation in Korean (10-15 mins) - Class (45-50 mins) - Extra Class (10-15 mins) : Idioms, Slangs, Cultural background learning - Review (5-10 mins) * Writing assignment will be given every class. Topic can be various depends on their level and interests.
My teaching method will be discussed prior to each lessons and studnets will be given a lot of homework based on their levels. I make sure that students reach their target or tests after lessons provided. You will be surprised by how much you have improved.
Tutoring will be based on the preference and the purpose of the student - daily conversation on various topics, basic grammar, academic writing/reading/listening/speaking, learning about Korean culture, etc. Any request can be discussed before starting the class.
The class can be individualized for students. No matter you are interested in the culture, k-pop, k-drama or all of them, I've got different resources for all of them and we can structure the class together to fit your need as much as possible.
Based on written, oral and video forms, the lesson will provide students with from old to up-to-date Korean vocabulary which can be used in the country straight away. And with the real elements from Korean textbook, students will get taught as Korean government teaches their young national people in schools.

My teaching method is using active learning approach to teach student. Pay more attention on the basic knowledge.
I try to make my students in love with studies by making the lessons more interesting in an innovative way.
For IELTS: I base my classes on going through materials I've prepared and attempting mock exam papers and prepare for the exams. Teaching them the right "skills" to tackle the questions to get correct answers in time. For oral (speaking) classes: Decide a topic and role-play with students. It aids them to think creatively and engage more interactively.
I would often use song lyrics and realistic dialogues (unlike many textbooks) to teach my students. I often use song lyrics, because a lot of Korean people relate to songs and the students will be able to learn the words and get the better pronunciation of the words.
My teaching method is depend on your interest. If you want to study for a test I'll prepare class for test. If you interested in K-pop or K-drama, we'll study with drama and singer's vedio. Whatever you interested in, I'll study with that you like. We will learn relative with you're interest.
