From the first day of lessons and at each ability level, only Italian is spoken. I put particular emphasis on spoken language and on communication, but also deal with reading and writing. I believe in "active learning" by involving students in real situations and study together on their materials.
My teaching philosophy is centred on understanding. My belief is that if a student has the proper groundwork in place, they can achieve anything! Hence, my focus tends not to be on just completing a specific assignment or task but on a deeper comprehension of the Italian language and its features.
My teaching methodology changes depending on the age of my student but I always have very clear what my student's goal and objective is and my purpose is to accomplish that aim.
My teaching method is ever-changing, because my lesson are tailored for the students in order to get the best results in the shortest possible time. I always create the best lesson for each student and for each class I have.
I aim to accommodate all types of students, however my lessons would be ideal for students already learning Italian at school who would like a bit of extra help or practice. My lessons could focus on a variety of different areas, including: -Homework help and exam preparation. -Conversation skills. -Reading comprehension. -Grammar and vocabulary.
My teaching method is based on communication, and I believe that is the key for effective teaching (and learning!). I like to discuss with my students what they think their strength and weaknesses are in the subject, so that we can start working from there.
My teaching method is very relaxed. We'll work out what you need to reach your goal and have fun getting there. If you're a beginner, we'll learn the verbs you need, do lots of speaking and reading. If you already have a base, we'll build on it, by increasing your vocabulary, listening and speaking skills.
My teaching strategies depend on you level, from there I will use the best method to help you to reach your goals. I always try to make my lessons interesting and I want you to feel confident and successful. Learning a new language is difficult, but with the right attitude, learning Italian could be fun and rewarding.
My teaching method is varied and engaging. I base my classes on real life situations and focus on the strengths and weaknesses of my student. Topics are based on my student’s wants and needs as personal interests are key to motivation and lead to effective and fun learning.
I do believe that the speaking part is very important, especially in a language such as Italian therefore I always try to focus a big part of the lesson on speaking, often when the student is already at an advanced level. However I always present reading and writing exercises.
I follow five steps that help me organise the way I plan my lessons. STEP 1: Know my students' needs and talent This because It will help me choose my learning goals, topics, and teaching approaches adequately.
My teaching methods are primarily based on fun and practical approach. I have 2 young children of my own, to whom I am teaching on a daily basis with similar tangible results. To begin with, simple words and phrases, moving later on towards more complex topics such as sentence constructions, phonetics, pronunciation, and language proficiency on basic and professional levels.
My classes are structured, following the fundamental of grammar and the most important subjects in order to enable students to conversate as soon as possible. Starting from that, in each class a space is given to students interests, actuality and funny chats.
I love children and know hot to deal with them. When working as a ski instructor I usually deal with groups of up to 15 children. Surely it may be difficult and a lot of patience is required. But seeing a child smiling is one of the greatest satisfactions.
l will teach italian based on the real need of the person interested in learning. Conversation and reading will be 90% italian adding grammar and texts.
I MANLY FOCUS ON THE NEEDS OF MY STUDENTS.
I was born in Rome, Italy to Italo-Australian parents and moved to Melbourne when I was 12. I completed VCE Italian receiving a 50, and study languages at Melbourne University. I have been tutoring in Italian since VCE. Depending on the level I like to structure my classes so that a range of material is covered, including grammar, oral, reading and writing practice.
I have one degree in Linguistics and Translation and one in Language Education and I would love to share my knowledge and experiences with anyone who would like to know more about the language and culture of Italy. Either face-to-face lessons or online lessons via Skype.
Work in Sales and BDM so engage with students really well, understanding their needs and delivering a plan that works on their week points, ranging from a variety of materials (visual, hands-on, written, oral) i tailor the journey based on the agreed outcome. Initial assessment is key to work on the project together.
Reading and writing, but more important: speaking! I'm quite sure the best way for learning a new language is speaking a lot with people. I use to pick up a main agrument (music, cinema, sport...whatever you prefere!) and talk a lot with my student.
Speak Italian straight away...let student focus the pronunciation by reading Italian newspaper or book. Introducing Italian colture like history or gastronomy.
with my method, you will learn the basic sound and vocabulary so that you will be able to start small conversations then slowly and naturally progress into complex structures.
I always try to blend the students' personalities and interests with their needs and curriculum-appropriate methods. When learning a language I think it's important to learn to apply it to concrete situations and to understand the practical use. Learning is not just about studying but it should be associated with fun and exciting activities.
I base my classes on TESOL (Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages) methodology, but use it to teach Italian. Based on already speaking English we teach Italian vocabulary and highlight similarities or differences between the two and their grammar.
Learning a foreign language doesn't have to be stressful and shouldn't require much time or organisation. I believe in teaching through experiences, learning whilst having fun and being immersed in various everyday life situations.
My teaching methods will depend on the students needs and objectives. But for sure, not every class will be the same and you'll get to enjoy while you learn a new language. My Honours thesis was about a gamification strategie, so you'll learn either playing or have tutorials based on your interests and hobbies.
My teaching method focuses (for beginners) on the bases and grammar of the Italian language. For pro and business people I focus and improve the skills of the students starting from the bases and grammar and applying them to the subject and industry of interest. Listening-comprehension is important with attention on how to spell and pronounce the words correctly.
I love helping students and assisting them in the best possible way. I adapt my teaching method to the student's needs and difficulties. I'm very patient and I think that every student is unique. I teach foreign languages in a practical and interactive way.
My method includes an essential overview of the (basic) grammar and "action" i.e. practice, practice, practice since the beginning, reading and conversation. Use of books/copies as well as songs are parts of the process.
My lessons are based mostly on basic grammar components, obviously depending on the student level. I believe it's fundamental to focus on the basics so to continue to build up and succeed in a language. The grammar explanations are followed by exercises aimed to understand and consolidate the theory.
