My classes are based on each students independent focus and level. You can tell me exactly what you would like to learn to make or else if you have a specific skill you require then I can work out the project item for you to best teach this skill. I am happy to accommodate for multi level classes as long as you are all working on a similar themed project.
I've had a lot of art teachers in my education so by now I know the teaching style I like. I'll focus on fundamentals such as light/colour/tone etc, but keep subject matter interesting. No hours of drawing cubes and spheres and painting colour wheels. If there's an art goal you want to reach, maybe a particular character you want to perfect, then I can help you get there.
The best way to learn to draw or improve is to practise and experiment. I want to create a safe space for people to try new things, step out of their comfort zone, and learn about basic design principals in art.
I encourage students to identify the learning style that works best for them, and provide continuous positive support. My students have thrived in a fun learning environment through the use of visuals and practical experience. I have experience engaging students from as young as 4 years old, through to tertiary level.
My lessons will be relaxed and educational. I will start with the basics of drawing; material, line, perspective, texture and shading. My lessons would be geared toward students and Adults.
My teaching methodology begins by discovering what you already know how to do and teaching you how to improve each day, teaching new techniques and what best fits your drawing profile, after all, every artist must be original. Or if you want, I can also teach you whatever you want to learn, be it art history or drawing using photoshop.
I teach in my garden or online on Skype. My method is a "hands-on" fun way of experimenting with techniques and having fun while creating and working lose and intuitively. The basic skills I teach will help aspiring artists or just a day away from busy routines to relax and have some enjoyment. For serious artists-to-be, the basic techniques helps to develop your own styles through practice.
I have a lot of work experiences related to art (art tutor, fashion designer, artist, illustrator, graphic designer & food stylist) and my teaching methods always pay attention to nurturing creativity and confidence for students to present themselves through various forms of art (watercolor painting, oil painting, pencil painting).
In the art classroom, I perceive the diversity of learners as individual components in the colour spectrum. Each hue carries its own unique value, tone and expression in completing a whole colourful picture.
I believe learning should be fun so I use games and art experiences to make it less abstract and help fix ideas in visual memory. I find this works very well with students whose learning style doesn't always match the way they are being taught. Such students are often labelled inappropriately as 'slow learners'or 'disinterested'. Stimulating the imagination is a very important key to learning.
Art can be learnt like any other subject or skill. I have done a lot of drills and taken a lot of lessons to learn how to draw well, and anyone else can do the same thing. I firmly believe that art should be a fun and approachable subject.
I inspire people not just motivating them to go out of their comfort zones and think of something out of the box. Everyone has that creative person inside them, it just needs to be awakened. I believe in playing with colours even if it is just an abstract and that is what I tell people to do.
My approach to tutoring is based around being encouraging, fostering a fun creative environment and providing constructive feedback. I aim to build on a student's existing strengths and help them to achieve their individual goals.
My teaching method is by parts- I always conduct a introductory lesson to gauge the level of my students and plan out the following weeks based on their current skill level. I approach lessons by increasing difficulty and believe that learning via example and by practice is the way to go.
I base my classes on the way each individual student approaches arts and how they want to express themselves through the medium. Having developed my skills in doing so for more than 12 years, focussing on other's to help them find their own art style and enabling them to manifest their creative minds became my core passion.
Urban Sketching is the art to capture a moment or a scene happening right in front of you. If you are keen to get insights into how to draw fast and confidence, I can help you: - explaining the basics of drawing, composition and perspective - introducing you to various mediums such as pens, pencils, watercolour paints or pens, ink, charcoal,...
My teaching method is studio based learning. The best way to learn and experience design is while trying it on-hands during the classes and evolving steadily. I start with basics of the subject which could be lines or dots, moving further into details.
My teaching method is very simple but also flexible. I will cater my methods based on your goals or areas that you want to improve on and work on giving you tasks to do. These lessons will also be helping to guide you with exploring your creativity and improving your creative thinking.
Just as no two people are exactly the same, everyone's artistic approach is unique. So, when I teach art, I really try to understand where each student is coming from, and mould my teaching style to suit their needs, bringing out the best in them.
I help provide different techniques to students to help them find the perfect match for them. I give advise on how to improve drawing skills and how to improve their techniques. I am able to help tech them new and improved ways of drawing.
While teaching young people firstly I like to start by getting to know the students, build a rapport, and get their personal input on what their personal goals are or what they are interested in learning, in order to plan a lesson that will keep them engaged and motivated.
My teaching method is by example. I have many topics by which I lead in a 'step by step' approach. Eye Observation. Imagination and Ceativity. Caricaturing (live and photo). Character Development....and many other topics...Guided by students interest.
Every student needs a different approach which I like to approach when I meet them. I like to get to know their goals and what genre they like to draw and create a plan of learning from there, so everyone has a chance to learn.
I approach my lesson by 1 to 1 guidance is suggested, splitting programme into several lesson to make sure work load not overwhelmed. Be doing outdoor real life sketching and observation.
My teaching methods will be based on what I learnt in school and how I like to work.
Any classic text books that I find, I can base the lessons around them. Some exercises may require a detailed breakdown of strokes. I have downloaded a lot of youtube howto's, and I can make them available to students. I would have to include tips on how to moneyterise the field, as there is not a large industrial support base. eg Disney or Manga. nearby.
I am offering a method on how to be a fresh and unique illustrator. prepares you to learn illustration for your specific needs including print and digital - Illustration for digital such as websites, app, poster, social media, motion graphic etc - Illustration for print such as book covers, kids illustration, t-shirt, packaging, posters, magazine etc.
I believe that there is no set text book, no rule set to follow in teaching, everyone is crafted of years of experience that distinguishes us from the rest. Every teacher should be willing to find the best way their student should learn, and every student should be willing to learn.
If you are not searching for VCE tutoring we can work together on a curriculum centred around your desires. I will structure our course so that you can continue to explore and learn without the need for face-to-face lessons- however, these will be organised as they are very beneficial.
I believe that everyone learns differently and a good teacher must be able to accommodate that. I find that hands on and working alongside someone is a great way for them to learn exactly what you are teaching.
