Lessons are available at my home in Princes Hill. I am Experienced teaching a wide age range from small children to retirees. I Teach Classical and Contemporary guitar and Music Theory Please don’t hesitate to contact me for further information.
Lessons available in both classical and contemporary guitar styles, beginner to advanced, all ages welcome. Can also assist with all aspects of music theory and sight reading.
My lessons typically consist of finding out where the student is on a technical and playing level, what they are interested in learning and then developing a long term plan that is designed to push them forwards in their playing and musicianship.
All ages are welcome. Learning the instrument is frustrating and fun at the same time, but I will teach and show you the methods I encountered when I was still learning.
My teaching method focuses on helping the student become comfortable behind a guitar, paying particular attention towards technique and theoretical applications such as fingerpicking, strumming, fretting, chordal and melody conjunction, as well as the ability to fluently read tablature.
I like to create a friendly and non-intimidating environment. i love working with passionate creative students and seeing them grow into confident young musicians. I would work with beginners and teach them firstly the foundations of music theory. we would then apply these concepts to practical components of the guitar or bass.
I thrive to ensure the student learns and have an understanding of what they are being taught. From the basics of the acoustic guitar to the advanced depths of song-writing.
My teaching methods revolve around the right pedagogical approaches for the student. I cater for the students level of playing guitar. I use fun and enjoyable songs that challenge the learner and help them towards their overall goals for the lessons.
i am new to teaching but i would like to teach people classic rock/ pop songs from the sixties to the present, the rock band KISS are my favourites but i like most styles of music,I would teach the basic chords and some extra's such as bar chords.
My method of teaching could be described as “Customised Tuition”. I’ve found no two students are the same therefore requiring individual approaches. For those with advanced skills I enjoy exploring individual style and a variety of musical appraches.
I tailor my lessons to suit the students level and musical influences and interests, emphasising that the more a student practices the quicker they advance. Practice, practice, practice is the key to learning any musical instrument. All reference material is supplied.
I put vocal adequacy and capacity as a priority rather than music theory however, I believe that practicing and refining music theory knowledge aids one's true potential and adds to an individuals vocal and creative talent.
Lesson is always conducted one on one. Student will provide there own instrument unless otherwise noted. First part will be revising previous weeks lesson and reaffirming any material which was not sufficiently covered. Main body will be covering additional material which has been set by the teacher.

Lessons are for half an hour, once a week. Students are expected to practise regularly during the week in order to improve and achieve the short and long term goals. Mainly catering to beginners through to intermediate level guitar players. All styles of guitar playing are catered for including bass.
The best way to learn is under the Guidance of a good teacher, unfortunately, there aren’t many out there. I have Found this out with experience and ended up having to single out certain methods from a number of different teachers. Again, i found the best teacher for an aspiring musician is in the form of listening and learning from music itself.
I find it's easier to teach someone if you know what they want, eg: if they only want to play really pretty chords on an acoustic guitar, or if you want to do big screeching solo's like the pro's
I like to personalise the way I teach for each student. Sometimes we may star from scratch, or build upon what you've already accomplished. I try to find techniques that would work for you. We can go through songs and break down each song, learning the proper techniques and refining your sound.
My Name is Samuel, I'm a current Music Student studying Jazz Guitar at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. I've been offering individual lessons for Beginner/Intermediate music students for over 2 years and I'm always looking to teach more. I personalise the lesson plans to the students particular learning style and what they would like to achieve.
Ascertain both what the person would like to learn and if I can meet their needs. Assess the current level of knowledge . Strengths and weaknesses. My Philosophy is to help students identify their own learning paths to achieve their goals.
I approach teaching with a laid back attitude. I work with students towards setting small, achievable goals that build to a larger accomplishment. By agreeing to and establishing common goals it allows students to feel ownership for their own learning, as well as the reward of achieving a new skill.
I am very passionate about music of all genres (contemporary, rock, funk, etc.) I have taught music theory, practical knowledge, basic skills and song-writing. And from the experience of teaching these years, I think I am a good teacher who can make students feel comfortable and safe, and I love to encourage them so often times my students all progress A LOT within just in a few months.
Keith Armitage has been a professional musician all his life and is a multi award winning songwriter and teaches songwriting to all ages and all levels. Become familiar with the hook line, verse, Chorus, Rhyme, Word Palettes, Meter and much more.
I can teach the most basic method of playing guitar
I like to focus on practical methods over theory but I still mix the two to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and skill. I believe that focusing on practical methods over theory in the beginning ensures my students stay interested and motivated to learn their instrument.
My teaching method is that I like to be one on one and interactive with the student as it gets the best out of them
Here to teach you the basics, we can work towards learning whichever songs you like, in a totally chill, relaxed atmosphere, as long as you’re enthusiastic, we will get along!
As a composer I try to impart the rewarding songwriting technique of Counterpoint to my students. I also get my students to understand the chord progressions and scales used within the pieces they like to learn. I encourage a strong focus on the music of The Beatles as well as other 60's and 70's band.
i normally start all my guitar students with chords. because to enjoy playing guitar you need to feel it first. after that they will have to go trull line and spaces to know how to read music on sheet.
I approach the topic of music, in particular - the guitar, in a manner of "showing" you what I know in a way that makes complete sense to you, the student. Until we live in an age where I can download "Guitar Legend" in to your brain - Matrix, anyone? - I cannot "teach" you anything, I can only ever "show" you things that have objectively made sense along the way.
