I always plan my lessons using practical examples and illustrations for my students.I believe that unless and until one can visualise mathematics, one cannot learn it or take interest in it.My teaching methods have been extremely helpful for the students find mathematics hard to understand. I readily get the problems of my students and intend to make the little concepts clear instantaneously.
• I am a very social and approachable person, therefore, I love to make my classes interesting and engaging. • I don’t believe in the conventional approach followed in schools going one chapter after the other. My lesson structure is tuned to cater to the needs of the student. • Students learn a lot of information in the classroom at school.
I like to focus on the particular problem areas the student has, and after they've been tackled, I like to focus on developing the study techniques necessary to continue to have success without me.
I'm all about fun. Pencil and paper doesn't work for everyone, so I make it my challenge to find a way which engages my students and helps them to really explore the subject. No question is a silly question. Questions are key to unlocking understanding, and I aim to provide a comfortable and relaxed learning environment which encourages question asking and curiosity.
I use trial and error approach in teaching, meaning that I allow students to compose their responses, then reflect on how it can be improved. This process is repeated until the student is able to compose a perfect response for any given question.
Maths is about learning and applying - not memorising. Not only can I provide the necessary knowledge, I focus on developing problem solving abilities, critical thinking and alternate approaches to a broad range of mathematical topics.
I evaluate each student individually and adjust my teaching style to accommodate. As some students learn by example and others are visual learners, being adaptive is part of my educational philosophy.
I am a Master of Engineering (Electrical) student at the University of Melbourne. I have 8 years of teaching experience in teaching Maths and Physics. I was a teaching assistant during my tenure of 1.5 years in IIT Kanpur, India.
My teaching methodology is based on mutual respect. I respect the students desire to improve and I present a committed mature professional approach to the work we are going to SHARE to achieve excellent PROGRESS. Results are based the quality of the shared experience.
My teaching method is student centered and collaborative. I am flexible with teaching area/environment as long as it is good and safe for the student. I enjoy giving students questions that tests their understanding of the subject and assisting them in solving problems.
My teaching method depends on the student. However, on a general note, I prefer to explain the concepts first, and any questions from the students will always be appreciated. I regularly check my student's homework and give feedback on it.
Once I know the student, I make sample problems that are tailored to the weak points of the individual student. The problems are designed to ensure mastery of the basics, and then I build the student's skill level up to solve more difficult problems.
My teaching method is so simple and very easy to understand. I explain in an interesting way that the student can understand the topic. I make the sums practical and the step by step procedures of solving the sum are clearly explained, so that it will be easy to the student to study.
I prefer to teach people the methodology to self learn. I do this by first breaking down and explaining a concept. I then explore the concept from different angles backed up by examples to clarify them. I then go on to discuss how similar problems could further be solved by the student alone.
Maths is taught best when it is made relatable. I use common examples and everyday examples to make complicated areas of the subject more understandable. I assess the student's ability to learn and teach using the most viable method for the student to retain information.
My teaching method is usually very simple and easy to understand as this was how I was taught. I am willing to mostly give lessons to students who have difficulty in this particular subject and make learning easy fro them. Also I would start my way from the basics so that they will have a good foundation and work my way through.
I am doing professional tutoring for couple of years with great success over student's improvement. I have even taught TAS teacher for improving concepts in general maths and civil engineering. Working with maths could b fun when you realise numbers can draw pictures for you. Maths is easy when it is done stepwise and with multiple perspectives and representations.
from the usual method, I adapt to many different methods based on my students. If everyone was to learn from the same method, then a classroom teacher would suffice. the usual method would be to break down a subject in several parts, introducing a student to these parts and then connecting these parts together, like a puzzle. though this approach is mostly used for science subjects.
The essence of maths is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple. I, as a tutor make maths look fun and easy for students who have difficulty in solving even the most basic questions of maths.
Teaching will be based on the students level of understanding. The students will be completing the syllabus purely by understanding the methodology. The syllabus won’t be completed just to cover time frame. Will give a time frame of 1 month to see if the student is interested to do lessons, if not will discontinue classes as this is not done for the purpose of earning but passion.
During my studies i personally dealt with having to teach myself how deconstruct the required concepts for completing the courses, due to this i have gained skills in being able to break difficult information down into simpler concepts, while not excluding the crucial details.
I'm a calm, patient, organised and relaxed teacher whose lessons are geared towards anyone that wants help with their studies. I provide support in a safe environment that will allow students to thrive. I use the gradual release method of teaching, where I work through a problem, we work through it together and then they work through it on their own when they're ready.
I understand each student has their own level of understanding and I hope to tutor each according to their needs. Math is actually a very fun subject, if it is taught and understood properly. Each topic would first be explained and then some numericals with solutions will be provided. If any mistake is found, I can identify where the student is having a problem and help him in clearing the doubt.
My teaching method is supportive of all students. I base my classes of any necessary needs the students will have. I approach a topic by asking questions to see what the students know and what needs developing to help them to succeed to the best of their ability.
I teach my students based upon their understanding levels. I always encourage my student by giving motivational speech. I make them self dependent. I teach student individually and also in a group.
My Teaching Methodology is to provide sufficient time and to motivate the student that he or she would feel very easy to sit and analyse the Maths. If any one is making study burden then he or she will not learn properly and would be very hard for him or her.
Lessons are typically one hour, with the first lesson being a free trial to see what level the student is at and what areas to focus on. The first part of the hour is focused on school work and upcoming tests/sacs etc. The latter part is spent on developing new skills and doing some sample questions that I have come up with to test those skills.
I make lessons very easy to understand and you can ask me the same thing again and again. I always like to explain step by step. It's easy when you learn step by step.
I believe basics is the most important to learn. So every 15% of my class will be taught basics. I teach new topics everyday followed by tests of previous class at the end. This requires a lot of homework to be done.
Mathematics is a "cumulative learning" subject - and so certain gaps in a student's knowledge are likely to affect their marks. In particular, I focus on filling these gaps and helping students develop a genuine understanding for Mathematics, and further aiding them in their revision strategies and exam techniques.
