Lessons I provide will be geared towards students who not only want to do well in exams but also enjoy the subject material. Lessons will be discussion based and participation from both tutor and student will be required. The idea being to provide a less formal approach to study in a fashion that can make it enjoyable.
Active recall, creating task cards, visualisation, inquiry based instruction, behaviour management, professional development, cooperative learning and technology in the classroom
Super friendly, funny, chilled and patient.
Lessons are structured by topic or by systems. This allows a flow to learning and allows the person to relate concepts to others easier. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of the student. Some people are visual learners, so using flow charts and pictures allows them to understand more. Some are better with words or flashcards.
I base my classes on the necessity of the student. Normally I have a first conversation to understand their targets and their needs. And We start together work in their main necessities and improve their knowledge that they already got.
I always say that three favorite B in my life are Biology, Bicycle and Books, because all move me forward without wasting anything. In addition, I believe that the only thing that I can do and enjoy is doing research and studying biology so I try to transfer my passion to my students as well.
I focus more on clearing basic knowledge first, I take classes by not just following the bookish protocol, but also going out of my way to find and offer more visual knowledge to make it a more interesting and fun learning session for students.
My teaching method is to first assess and identify the weaknesses of the student by testing the student's understanding on the general broad range of topics. From this, I will come up with a focused lesson to teach the student the concepts.
I graduated high school with a 90+ ATAR and received academic scholarships to colleges in America as well as accepted into my university of choice in Australia.
I love teaching and have for many years, and am offering tutoring services while I complete my medical degree at the University of Western Australia. I moved to Perth in 2018 to study the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia. I'd love the opportunity to continue my teaching work in my new home.
I like teaching with examples of real-life applications. So, if you want to learn about genetics, we would discuss one particular published research, and pick apart the methodology of the work. This way you get to learn about up to date techniques and concepts.
My teaching methods are based on reflective discussions, innovative teaching strategies such as role plays, video based discussions, books related to the topic and quizzes.
I am Harleen Kaur studying master's of biomedical science specialization in human biology. Done graduation in microbiology specialization in fermentation technology. I can teach biology and related fields to every students from school and university level. Lesson structure and teaching method can be set up according to the need of the student.
My teaching method is directed towards each individual student independently. I personally am a visual learner and constantly make notes in pictures and diagrams to fully grasp the physiology of things. My lesson structure consists of me teaching for the majority of the lesson then, the student presenting the learned topics back to me to solidify the knowledge.
My teaching method is, explaining a concept, breaking it down into digestible pieces of content, with appropriate examples and work until we progress onto understanding the whole concept. I aim to have my students learn the content, and understand it, over just memorising it.
My teaching methodology is based on the students needs and preferred learning processes. Because of this it will be unique to the individual I tutor so that I can give them the most beneficial learning experience.
I believe that it is important for the student to understand each concept before moving on to the next topic, so before moving on to the next topic, I would usually give a small test/quiz to check on the student's understanding.
My approach to teaching is simple and conceptual. I start from the basics and gradually help students understand the core knowledge of the context as I explain. I make provisions for students to ask questions and clear any doubts if they have.
I always start my lessons by finding out what you already know, what you want to know and finishing up by finding out what you learnt that lesson. However if this doesn't work for you I will change my way of teaching to suit the way that you learn best.
My teaching method is simple yet affective. By showing a keen interest in science myself, it encourages the student to remain engaged for longer periods of time. I am respectful and compassionate, realising that everyone has their own learning style and differences in learning ability. Consistent feedback and praise is incredibly important, and also encouraging.
I'm a visual learner so I like to teach with either videos or drawings.
Since I'm from a Biomedical science background, I can help with any life and physical sciences but I am best at Maths, Microbiology and molecular biology. I would like to work around the problem the student is facing. For instance, if it is about algebra, spend more time practising algebraic equations. Not to forget the little tips I always give my students.
My main goal as a teacher is to promote understanding and not just passing for the sake of the grade. I believe when one doesn't understand something its mainly because of a missing link, i work with students to ensure that the flow is constant as sciences is all about joining the dots.
I am a methodical teacher, I identify weaknesses and place a heavier focus on them while still consolidating areas already known to the student. I like to engage students and teach in a way that interests the individual. I do this by getting to know the student as a person briefly before we start so that I know what works best for them.
My teaching method is such that I cover basics first. I believe that without basic foundations, there is no point in delving into harder applications. So, first, we will make sure you understand every concept thoroughly, and then we will focus on how to answer every possible exam question. This will enhance knowledge.
I am Pratibha Malhotra and I am studying masters of biomedical science at Curtin University. I have been tutoring students from high school and uni for a very long time in subjects associated with biotechnology.
I am geared to students who feel that they are being left behind. My approach to teaching is to not just teach a topic but to try and introduce a new way of thinking about a subject so that going forward, there is a broader understanding of subject. Then the students are able to apply this to better absorb new concepts. So there is less spoon feeding and more of an engagement of the mind.
The way I approach teaching is based on the needs of individual students. I can help with homework, go through a whole topic or answer any specific questions to the best of my abilities. I will base my lessons on my students' learning objectives for their course to make sure to meet the requirements set by their school.
I like to break down major topics into smaller ones, especially by making dot points within sub categories. I also like using videos to explain topics when I think they are better described using illustrations, for all highschool students.
I approach the topic with their necessity or requirement for the current phase of the relevant field. I make sure that I cover from history/origin to recent updates, not just the textbook part but the real-life scenario.
