I am an older sister of 4 siblings - ranging from Grade 2 to 11. I have helped them numerous times with their homework/assessments. I helped my 15yo brother go from a C/D student to High B's Low A's. My teaching method involves helping them create a plan and organising the content they're learning to make sure they understand all aspects involved and how to relate it all together.
My teaching method is to ignite interest in subjects by using practical analogies, and easy to remember methods and find individual student based ways to motivate to study. My first session would include a time to understand where the issues are and what needs focus, then work with the student to achieve a task. At the end I would get the student to give themselves a task for next lesson.
I am a patient and flexible tutor, and I believe that learning is best achieved in a relaxed environment. I will tailor my lessons to your needs, and I am happy to proof-read essays, presentations and scientific reports. I can help with understanding biological concepts and any preparation for tests or assignments.
I love to teach topics with LOTS of diagrams, pictures, flow charts and media when I can find decent videos on the web.
I believe in simple step by step process rather than complex map process. Using this method it would be easy to understand the concept and remember it easily and for long time. Simple tricks to understand the terms of biology and process, is my best approach to make the student feel comfortable.
My teaching method is to read the material first and jot down the important points as you go along. After the notes are taken, go through the exercise questions and try to solve them. Creating questions by yourself can also be included. Practice for any given diagrams is a must and has to be done everyday. At the end of the week, a small test can be taken to assess the progress.
My teaching method is student focussed, which is not a strict method rather a way which will help student to connect and relate to subject and not allowing to give up. I believe in the power of knowledge and ignorance is not bliss but stupidity.
I base my teaching differently depending on the individual I am helping as everyone learns in different ways. I am very adaptable to whom I teach and have a good way of explaining concepts to people. I am also very passionate about the topic and like to make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved.
I am a recent Uni grad so all my knowledge is fresh and current. I have just left the tertiary education system so can prepare students looking to attend Uni for whatever it is they are requiring. My lessons are aimed more at High School students that need extra support with subjects, concepts or methods that they are simply not understanding.
I enjoy discussing course content and contextualising information in a practical way to understand "why" . I use curricular outcomes to grasp the requirements for each student's subject. I work closely with the student to create realistic goals and help them organise their assessment tasks and exam preparation.
I approach by understanding what method the student is able to grasp well and quick , for eg. still visuals, audial, motion pictures etc. and focus on their weakest understood concepts apart from covering all the content.
Learning happens by doing! Which is why I strive to connect concepts and information to memorable experiences, such as homestyle science experiments and observational walks outside.
My teaching method is, explaining a concept, breaking it down into digestible pieces of content, with appropriate examples and work until we progress onto understanding the whole concept. I aim to have my students learn the content, and understand it, over just memorising it.
I believe that it is the job of the educator to be able to explain complex ideas in understandable and unique ways depending on the student. I am personally a visual learner and find it easier to use drawings or abstract metaphors to explain my ideas.
My teaching method is based on simplifying the things so they are understandable for people not familiarised with the subject. Science night be difficult to understand, so I try to draw a lot of diagrams and schemes to make things clearer.
My lessons are geared towards students who are struggling with concepts in biology, or those who are struggling with effectively remembering content for exams. Each lesson is individualised to the needs of the student, whether that be preparation for assessments, exams or general skill building in the area of Biology.
I firmly believe that biology can be misunderstood if the basic concepts are not clear. My teaching method starts from the basics, and from there, the student begins to understand more complex facts, always guided by my knowledge. If there is a question left unanswered, I will rapidly look for recent studies to supply the latest information about the topic.
I am a Medical doctor from India and I teach Biology for years 7 to 12. My lessons are always made fun with the help of diagrams, flow charts and fun videos. These interactive sessions with pop quizzes designed like games to help the student to retain better. My students have told me that these tools help them understand the subject faster and retain information for longer.
I prefer to discuss more rather just delivering. I try to find out the lackings in one student first and design the teaching plan accordingly. This method serves me quite well. Knowing the knowledge gap helps both of us to decide upon how we should proceed.
My teaching methodology is based on the students needs and preferred learning processes. Because of this it will be unique to the individual I tutor so that I can give them the most beneficial learning experience.
As I am new to this industry I am still developing my skills, but I would hope that by using a combination of learning techniques I would rather encourage a student to utilise their own skills and expand their own knowledge base to better understand the subject at hand.
I focus on adjusting my teaching methods to the individual. I learn by taking very detailed notes, but I understand that many students are visual learners or need to think critically about a topic before they are able to understand and or remember the information. I would assess the students learning style and difficulties before decided a teaching method.
My teaching pedagogy is science. I use hands on approach, demonstrative and activity method to teach it. Use of ICT is must. Holistic approach is followed to help develop the knowledge and not rote memorise it.
When a hungry person is given fish to eat, it doesn't help much. But when he is taught to fish , that would help him satisfy his hunger for the rest of his life. My teaching methodology will be a similar one , where I will develop the student's interest to do extensive learning by seeding in essential concepts and, also, the interest to delve deep into the subject.
I personalise lessons to different students depending on their preferred learning method to maximise student engagement. Lessons and content is based on what students are learning in class, what type of assessment they are doing, and areas in need of improvement.
My teaching methodology is to listen to the student, even when they do not know what they do not know can grasp a rounded idea of what it is they do need help with. I read the students body language and understand their tone of voice, when they are confused and when they understand.
My teaching method is to familiarise myself with the school's current curriculum of the subject as would be provided by the student, and from there focussing on reinforcing the learning objectives which may be hard to identify from the unneccessary information which may be taught.
My method of teaching will include simple explanation of each topics and will involve interactive discussions with the students to provide better understanding. Quizzes will be given to the students based on the topics covered to make sure the students have grasped the key components of the topic.
My teaching method would be assisting in study techniques. I will help you to understand any content that seems unclear or confusing. Additionally, I can help with organising notes/assignmnets if neccessary. A lesson would include any information you bring to the session and we will go through what you want to in the tutorial.
I base my classes on communication. The learning should be fun rather than a monotonous, one-way conversation. Knowledge based on in-depth understanding of the subject rather than rote learning is what I prefer.
