I base my lessons on the study design and relevant areas of study in regards to each individual student. I believe in tailoring my lessons to fit the age, skill level and degree of understanding of the student that I am tutoring.
First I will make myself familiar with the level and goals of my student and will from then on create lesson plans for each lesson. It is very important for me to figure out the learning method that most efficient and fun for my students.
I vary my teaching style based on the level and specific needs of the student. I offer both a general tutorial where we cover a bit of everything or specialised tutorials to improve one of grammar, conversation, vocabulary and speaking skills more specifically.
My teaching is tailored to the students' learning type, intelligence and personal interests. My goal is to encourage independent learning and to link sometimes abstract topics with our everyday life. I am respectful of different cultures and enjoy teaching people from all over the world.
DELF/ DALF exam based so all levels from A1 to C2 to prep up the exam to be able to study and live in France like a native or even take the residency and nationality exam later on if those are your projects !
My lessons covers both oral and written French. My teaching method is personalized based on the student's age, existing knowledge in French and what they want to use it for. It will be a progressive learning experience, working according to the pace of the student. I expect full corporation and participation from the student.
I teach students by means of discussion-This involves 2 way communication between participants. I will also use demonstration lessons, role plays and brain storming to support my students learning. I like to give a summary of what was taught towards the end of the lesson.
I am really passionate and honest in my job, I am empathic and I have studied child and adult psychology before so I know how to be adaptable and find the best way to learn french. I am really creative and I love teaching with games.I love travelling and discover the world as well. I use often the french culture to improve their skills, sometimes musics, videos, theatre for example.
As everyone is unique, I love to talk and feel which is the best approach for each student - and from there go beyond our current language knowledge :)
I try not to be too rigid about my approach. It depends on my student. It is all about creating a fun and creative lesson that would be interesting for everyone. I tend to use various material such as audio and visual ones.
I identify the needs of the students and focus on supporting them through appropriate strategies and resources. I respond to the particular learning styles of my students, which can vary greatly. My recent experience as a VCE student and my current casual work with secondary students provide me with an insight into the expectations placed on students in order for them to succeed.
I am Freya, a recent graduate of the University of Oxford, where I studied French Literature for four years. I also spent a year abroad, living and working in Belgium, where I improved my language. I am a friendly and outgoing person with a passion for teaching and languages, excited to help anyone who shares these passions! Able to teach all levels.
My teaching methodology depends on what student I am teaching. With my two previous students who were teenage boys, I used a lot of French pop culture references and modern music/shows and focused on discussing and debating around those themes to help develop their oral French skills for their exam. I can teach you at any level and will shape my lessons around what best fits your needs.
I know from personal experience what it takes to be proficient in an additional language. Thus I strive to give students a learning experience that is both practical and relevant. I incorporate a variety of hands-on activities to encourage students to express themselves and to communicate in French.
I can cater to the needs of each student. Each lesson can focus on one specific area of learning (eg: writing, listening or speaking) or a mixture of all areas. Can practice conversational skills or focus on school work depending on the student’s desires.
I think the most important thing is to know the rules of grammar, but also to practice, and therefore to discuss.
Depending on the student's need, I can target specific subjects (to reach a good score on a test or exams), or we can focus on that their overall comprehension of French and their ability to be understood whether orally or through writing constantly improves.
My top priority as a tutor is to kindle a passion for the French language in my students. I understand the challenges of learning a foreign language so I make my classes engaging and motivating.
Sharing languages is awesome. I can teach you basics of French, including Reading, Writing, Listening and speaking. Language lessons are for anyone who is interested in the language. Special French and English lessons can be arranged for primary to secondary students. Classes prior to the exams can be arranged to help students get good grades.
My teaching methodology is in Maths and Science. I have a double degree in Maths and Science and have had experience teaching Math in French. I enjoy imparting knowledge onto others and feel I have the necessary patience to develop a student's ability.
my teaching method. i would say that i don't spoon feed my students which means that research work has to be done. Homework will be given at the end of each class i believe this will help the student to go deeper in the subject. Quizzes will be given at the end of each week to make sure the have grasp all the information.
My teaching method is all about teaching according to the student's learning pace and capabilities. Understanding the student's needs is my priority in constructing my tuitions; what they already know, what they want to know and what they expect from the lessons. Then, proper exercises will be given to help improve areas such as vocabulary and grammar.
For me, doing well in French came from not only hard work, but also a very solid understanding of the foundations of French. I spent a lot of time thoroughly understanding the grammar and sentence constructions, before going on and extending them into complex ways. On top of that, I tried to understand concepts from multiple angles before applying it through rigorous practice.
that all depends on the student.
I'm a friendly French student in Melbourne with excellent knowledge of French language. I would like to offer private interactive lessons with exercises such as conversations in French about French cultural aspects, grammar, pronunciation, spelling exercices for instance - everything in a fun way! I can also prepare students to DELF and DALF.
My teaching method is the communicative approach. Basically, after a few classes you'll be able to communicate on your own in any French speaking environment. You will be an actor of your learning process which means you'll have to participate.
I believe that students must be given the freedom to speak his mind and his difficulties as this is the only way to get into the core of the subject. Students comes with different capabilities and there should different methods to correspond with the students.
For scientific subjects, I find the understanding of the lesson is the basis for success. We'll deepen the student understanding through concrete examples, and working on his/her ability to demonstrate the lesson keypoints, rather than learning by heart and forgetting asap. For culture and linguistic subjects, we will pick a topic you like and go from there.
I am mainly looking for people having a basic French knowledge, and that would like to improve their conversational skills. The principle would be having a conversation over a topic we would have set together before the lesson, then we would discuss it together around a coffee, so I could help out with the pronunciation, the vocabulary, the grammar.
I taught one-on-one and with groups of three (max) at a time. I tutored approximately 4 students per semester, 8 students per year. I provided feedback to students after assessing their work for progress and retained knowledge I taught the most important aspects of French language such as pronunciation, sentence structure, listening comprehension, reading, writing and culture.
