My teaching method is simple: tailoring each lesson to my student's needs and personality in a fun and approachable manner. I believe that every lesson should be enjoyable and offer a memorable experience, rather than a series of impersonal exercises.
I'm a skilled teacher with a good knowledge of the language, its grammar and its intricacies, but above all the enthusiasm to share it and the imagination to transmit in a way that works well for everyone. I can therefore cater for a wide range of students and my clients have always been very happy with my services and my friendly personality.
My teaching method is first to give the basics so that the person will be able to communicate. I base my classes with a combination of oral practice and theoretical exercices.
As someone who's fluent in two languages (English and Mandarin) and have been studying another two for six years (Latin and French), I adore languages. At the same time, I have struggled through HSC French and Latin. Having survived them, I can safely say I've gained some solid study tips and exam techniques, which are often more important than simply memorizing vocabulary for HSC.
I teach young children using a play-based approach. Most of the activities are planned based on my students ’interests and questions in a fun way using "Playful education". My students have benefited from the creative and hands-on learning experiences inspired from these methods such as Montessori, Freinet and Reggio.
French is my first language and I managed to learn English within 4months there I believe there’s no barrier when it comes to languages if you have a will you can do it...
I'm Harsha from Mauritius and I hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree From China. I have tutored French and English for 5 years in China. I am now in Australia pursuing my masters at Deakin University. I have good communication skills and I speak and write English, French, Mandarin and even Hindi fluently.
When teaching, I try to use repetition and to stimulate both the echoic and visual memory of my student. As everyone learns in a different way, I adapt my course for every student to make it as efficient as possible. I also try to make it fun and entertaining to help my students to remain focused and increase their motivation.
At first I have to find out what is the goal of the person who wants to learn French and to be able to respond to her needs as much as possible. I try to find texts to work on matching the interest, activities or profession of the person. I choose text introducing grammar topics, so when the vocabulary is understood we can start training on this grammatical topics with exercises.
The methodology to be used will be discussed with the student on the first assessment to identify their level, preferences and goals. As soon as we have this clear, a text book and work book will be chosen as a guide for the class. Besides that, a complementary material is prepared to improve each skill in the real situations.
My experience with language learning is that having an effective teacher can make a world of difference. So, in my lessons, I strive to be engaging and make the lessons enjoyable and interesting, whilst simultaneously being useful and rigorous. I also believe the lessons should be mostly student-centred.
Hello, My mother language is French and I would love to teach this wonderfull language to anyone that wants to learn it. I accept all kind of students from college and high school to uni. My idea is to help the students at what they want to get better at. So I suggest that the student contacts me and tells me what he wants to improve and then I can think about a lesson.
I do believe that when it comes to studying, the teacher (or tutor) must listen to what are the strengths of his student, how best his student thinks he can remember and work on his subjects. Some people are better with listening, other with reading. I don't believe there is only one way of teaching someone, we always have to adapt.
My teaching will be adjusted to the needs and interests of the individual student in question. I emphasize the importance of a strong grammatical foundation, however my primary concern for students is developing strong comprehension skills so as to equip them to engage with a variety of different learning resources.
Depending of the student goals with the lessons, I would have different methodology. If the person just want to learn another language, I think discussion and oral understanding is a good way to get started. For more advanced student, I like to go deeper into grammar (we all know how complicated it can be!) and also learn new expressions and vocabulary.
My teaching method is that the students learn by themselves. I will act as a guide to the students in order to help them find the answer to their questions. The lesson structure will go as per what they are taught in school.
The most important is to feel comfortable to speak. Express yourself in a language with what you have been learning makes you more confident and hungry to learn more.
I like to go through content methodically, and in a way that makes sense, time-wise. I start by teaching practicality - the first stepping stones you would need if you were in an actual, face-to-face scenario. Then come casual conversational skills, then you go further into the correct composition of phrases and tenses, then you can begin incorporating even more vocabulary, and more cryptic tenses.
I love working with children and make them feel proud of themselves. I want children to enjoy time of studying and learn a lot at the same time. I am very patient and will always take the time that the child needs! I hate that the child is bored while studying so I always try to make the lesson enjoyable and interesting for the child.
Having done the journey in the other direction (French to English), I understand how hard learning a new language can be, but have mastered a few tricks to make it much easier and would love to share them and take your French to the next level!

Learning by speaking is one of the best method and it's my method! The grammar is important yes, but speaking without fear is the best way to learn! Furthermore, learning with a native speaker is always the best way, here I am!
I used to illustrate all my lessons. According to your need, your age and your level, you will learn about the French culture, including food, monuments, policies, geography, history, arts (cinema, music, paintings). The topics are huge, and you can speak together about your interest to make your teaching class as nice as possible.
I adjust my methods as much as I can to the individual needs of each student -- I cannot expect everyone to learn the same way. A typical first lesson with me will involve discussing what you already know of French and expanding on it, helping you to build a strong foundation so you can pick up new concepts easily.
I can adapt to every persons expectations. I like starting my class by conversations and come back on some grammar/conjugation rules and practice pronunciation. I'm able to help students to pass French exam or review, work on some lessons viewed during class.
If you want someone to look at your essays and correct your structure, grammar and vocabulary I am the person for you. I can go over your text and give you good reviews and comments on how you can improve your writing skills.
Our tutors write articles on their subject to help you better understand the material.
