I approach my french learning by learning vocabulary and then putting in to use by practicing writing essays. As a tutor, I am very calm and patient because I know that students receiving tutoring are often struggling. By teaching vocab with flashcards, it is much easier to form sentences which then leads to easier oral communication.
My teaching approach is to see with you what you really want to learn first. It depends of your needs, it can be basic vocabulary, or oral expression or even written expression.
Repetition is the mother of learning. That's why I make a quick overview of every main things I taught previously at each beginning of lesson. The structure of a lesson will vary depending on what does the student wants to improve, his/her writing skills, oral skills, accent reduction and so on.
I like to start off easy, cover the basics first and go from there! If we face some difficulties, i have fun methods that work all time time!:):)
My teaching method is the good interaction between the student and I so that I can be sure that he/ she understands what I want to teach.
I used to be proactive and I can undertake responsibilities to help and adapt myself to every child, person in respect of their difficulties and needs. I only speak French and if there is a real difficulty I speak English for a better understanding. The point is to improve and everyone has his own rhythm.
My teaching method is taking things back to the basics of all language and that is through simple conversation in the native tongue. We will go through a variety of everyday topics and learning about each-others lives and experiences all while speaking either in French or Spanish. Can also include business vocabulary.
I usually start my lesson with a short friendly conversation, to get to understand my students. Then we move into a structured lesson : Learning intention and success criteria: the student knows what he/she will learn by the end of the session.
I have a strong emphasis on phonics as well as culture. I have a good grasp of the exam requirements in Australia for French and can assist with skills and prep for the productive skills of speaking and writing as well as the receptive skills of listening and reading. I can also help with preparation for travel in Europe or other French or Spanish-speaking countries.
I enjoy using Bloom's Taxonomy, which derives its structure from the philosophy that learning takes place in three hierarchical models, classified into complexity and specificity.
i am a creative person... i use the school methodes but i also like to tech by using games dooing activities and of course by being interested of what my student like. for me teaching and studying must me funny.
I adapt my teaching method to the strengths and weaknesses of each individual, as well as their preexisting knowledge of the language. Hence, a different method will be used for younger teenagers than for university student who may have another motivation to learn the language.
I will mainly focus on Beginner and Intermediate French, these will include topics such as introduction, how to tell the time, the weather and other things which will help you (the students) converse with French people on a conversational level.
The Teaching method I used was AIM Language learning and Voila Programme(Year 5 & 6, Year 7 to 9 and Year 11) and helping adults to day to day conversation with Teach Yourself French. I also can easily adjust to any programme of preference.
My teaching method is communicative. I base my classes on conversation and practical grammatical points. To observe our progress, we will have a series of books but I will also use extra class materials (and of course some surprises :)) to contribute to your progress in French.
I am a dynamic and kind person. I am really open mind. I think that people learn more in pleasure, so I always find interesting activities to learn. I will base my lesson according to the students needs and interests.
I’m a French Woman who is looking after a job. I’m here in Australia since December 2016. I come here to travel and discover new cultures, people and landscape. I spent my first year to enjoy this experience and now I’m looking to gain employment to support myself in Australia. I would like to give some french lessons to earn some extra money and to share my culture and my language with you.
Hi, I'm Cecilia. French girl living in Paris since she's born and in Australia for a year.
I would be glad to help you with your homework and prepare for your French class with different exercises: - Thematic discussions in French - Science homework in French - Reading, talking and writing in French - Help you to learn and understand your French lessons I can adapt our session programs depending on your personal preferences and your level.
I have many different ways of teaching, the best one being theory/exercises/ practical use. Very patient and caring, I won't let you down if any problems arise. First a test to outline your level, then theory followed by exercices, the classic. Last quarter of the lesson is based on what drives you to learn the language.
I focus on the growth of relationship between student and tutor, and the growth of confidence of the student. I consider it important that each student feels safe, respected and supported. I usually address their specific needs as I get to know their strengths and weaknesses, and I tailor my teaching to each individual student.
It’s the first time for me to be teacher. But I think the best method for teach french or an other language, it’s learn by differents game. I was able to observe how my teachers learned English and I think I can do the same.
My teaching methodology for teaching french is to divide the lesson between writing and oral work. I think the most important is to work on oral expression and comprehension to be able to interact with people. The only thing is that it requires some vocabulary and grammar bases.
I base my classes on the bases starting with basic vocabulary and grammar. I follow the French teaching program and adapt the classes on the student. I listen to my students' needs and focus mainly on speaking and understanding more than writing.
Hi! I've tutored different aged people over the past few years, the one thing that can make it hard to learn a new skill/language is if it doesn't interests you or bores you. I'll try to come up with a way to make the lesson fun and interactive, which will lead to an easier learning process. We'll use different techniques such as watching movies, playing games etc.
I sincerely think that learning a language is an entertaining and living experience, that must combine grammar rules with an historical and literary aim to embrace a new culture . As an History student it is not only my language that I want to teach but also my identity : being French, Parisian and European.
As somebody who has acquired second language skills through study, I come from a place of understanding of the struggles and requirements languages take to learn. I am extremely enthusiastic about French and am very encouraging in my teaching. I will also focus on building strong foundations to ensure my students develop their French skills well.
I'm offering conversation-type classes that aim to get students speaking without relying on theory. I am good with grammar but I believe grammar is best memorised and integrated through trial and error. Perfect if you want to be able to converse fluently and read in French.
First of all, I give a french text to read (one page or two), and then I ask (the student) to summarize the text during 5 and then to give an opinion about what (s)he read during 5 minutes also. I give the translation of the difficult word in an annex. At the end of this 10 minutes, I ask some questions to better understand his/her point of view.
I am friendly and like to work in a good atmosphere, for me learning is always easier if you do it with fun, i like to explain thing with using real example, games, conversation so i will need to know you a little bit as your hobbies and stuff like that as i can do a personal class.
