I am a 21 years old french guy who gives some french lessons for all levels in the Brisbane city area, we can meet in a library or I can go to your home.
A first approach understanding what are your needs and your will to learn French. Finding together the best way for you to progress and improve yourself. Every week checking if the lessons suits you and making changes / adjustments if it is needed.
I base my teaching on my students' objectives, needs and learning style. I help my students build confidence teaching them the essentials to understand and communicate in French language. Extended practice, with games, collaborative tasks and authentic resources assist my students improve their proficiency for the long term.
I usually am very focused on comprehension and the ability to express yourself well enough to be understood at first. As a student, I know I found the more fun and entertaining the lessons were, the more focused I was too. I think it's important to introduce students to the culture, were it through books, movies, series or generally just discussing cliches we may have about France especially.
I always start my lessons/classes with a discussion with my student(s), in which I find out how they think, how they organise their work and where their difficulties seem to be. After that I go through the material given by the school and if needed, I provide other resources after the first lesson.
My teaching method depends on the student. If you can do all the lesson in French it's a very good point to progress. When you don't understand a word I try to explain the word in French and I can use the English if you prefer.
My lessons are geared towards what the student wants to work on. I would like to make sure they are getting as much out of the lessons as they can. After building/confirming a strong basis of French knowledge, I give the students the ability to structure the lessons based on what they need.
My teaching method is based on the level of the person I have in front of me. A beginner will eventually need to get around basics principles more than once (which is normal). To a more experienced student I will, for example, insist on writing skills.
Whether you are a beginner or more advanced student in French, I will approach any topic with fun, and I try to make you want to learn French in the best atmosphere possible, without any stress. Making sure you learn and enjoy at the same time is my priority.
My teaching method is first to start by basics and select a topic who might interest the student. Pronounciation and writing are the most important first. And the next step is practical. Incite the student to use the french language daily.
I will stay focused on your own target. If you just want to learn more about the french culture, based on TV series, books, ... I could explain step by step every aspects. If you want to practice your expression, we would stay focused on dialogue : what do you like, daily typical conversations, poetry, ... Your goal will be mine, and I will keep find a way to suit to your aim.
I always try to plan my classes as individual as possible in order to meet my students at their personal learning level. I include modern media and I strongly believe that students must speak as much as possible to improve their feeling for the language.
I base my classes on a big oral practice (80%) because I think it is the best way to master a language. The remaining time (20%) is spent on learning grammar rules, vocabulary, conjugation and improving writing skills. The more you practice the better you get.
The nature of the lesson will depend on your level and personal background. So first is to evaluate rapidly your level and your purpose for learning french. Is it for school? For travelling ? For finding a french wife/husband? Then let's start speaking and adjust the lessons...and the most important don't worry about doing some mistakes.
My teaching method is all about teaching according to the student's learning pace and capabilities. Understanding the student's needs is my priority in constructing my tuitions; what they already know, what they want to know and what they expect from the lessons. Then, proper exercises will be given to help improve areas such as vocabulary and grammar.
I base my method on the reading of french newspaper, actuality, and other texts about societal issues, but I am able to adapt considering the hobbies and interests of the students. Focus the lessons on dialog is the best way to immerse in a culture.
Teaching is my passion and I always do my best to teach my students because I just want them to be the perfect. I believe that a bond between a student and teacher matters the most when the student is developing a new skill. So, I take care if the student is comfortable during the studies and I am always available to help them whenever they have issues with there studies.
Brief intro about myself is that am French living in Melbourne for the last 3 year for the completion of my University studies in Architecture. Being meticulous and having an eye for detail, my favourite teaching method would be one on one interaction. Human contact is the best way to learn a language where the interaction between teacher and student is more fluid.
I can help you in different areas such as the pronunciation, the grammar, the writing, the understanding. I try to have a fun way of teaching by using videos or fun texts.
Learning by speaking is one of the best method and it's my method! The grammar is important yes, but speaking without fear is the best way to learn! Furthermore, learning with a native speaker is always the best way, here I am!
I used to illustrate all my lessons. According to your need, your age and your level, you will learn about the French culture, including food, monuments, policies, geography, history, arts (cinema, music, paintings). The topics are huge, and you can speak together about your interest to make your teaching class as nice as possible.
My teaching lessons will be based on a different theme every time, and with this theme we will learn the vocabulary attached to it, the prononciation, and put the different word learn in sentences. I can occasionally have a lesson in the form of game. The first session i will decide with you what area ou want to work on, and do adapted course.
I adjust my methods as much as I can to the individual needs of each student -- I cannot expect everyone to learn the same way. A typical first lesson with me will involve discussing what you already know of French and expanding on it, helping you to build a strong foundation so you can pick up new concepts easily.
My method usually is to pick a theme for the class and then we just work around that and see where it leads us. I like to use french litterature or article related to the chosen theme ! I usually let the student take his own notes that I read afterwards and see what could be improved in his writings.
I can adapt to your needs. 1) We can organise discussion session during which we would only speak French and I would help you to gain vocabulary and correct your mistakes.
If you want someone to look at your essays and correct your structure, grammar and vocabulary I am the person for you. I can go over your text and give you good reviews and comments on how you can improve your writing skills.
My school of thought with French is to develop a relaxed and clear atmosphere for the student, and to develop a positive and friendly relationship with them. This method allows the student to learn in a casual manner, and to understand the language as it would be overseas.
Coucou (hi there)! Je m'appelle Laine (my name is Laine). I believe it is imperative to speak with a fluent speaker in order to improve language skills, but it is also equally important to have fun, for example playing games, to make learning more fun! The more fun you are having the better language learning tends to take root, I have personally learned.
