At first I have to find out what is the goal of the person who wants to learn French and to be able to respond to her needs as much as possible. I try to find texts to work on matching the interest, activities or profession of the person. I choose text introducing grammar topics, so when the vocabulary is understood we can start training on this grammatical topics with exercises.
The methodology to be used will be discussed with the student on the first assessment to identify their level, preferences and goals. As soon as we have this clear, a text book and work book will be chosen as a guide for the class. Besides that, a complementary material is prepared to improve each skill in the real situations.
My teaching method is to make it as fun as possible for any age group and to really keep the persons interest in the set language. I feel that knowing how the person learns best is the key to teach greatly.
Bonjour! I will make French interesting and enjoyable by encouraging students to speak basic French with a view to using French in everyday conversation. I teach practical, conversational French. I can also teach basic French grammar with a view to reading simple French. My lessons will begin with an everyday situation, and teach students which French words and phrases to use.
My experience with language learning is that having an effective teacher can make a world of difference. So, in my lessons, I strive to be engaging and make the lessons enjoyable and interesting, whilst simultaneously being useful and rigorous. I also believe the lessons should be mostly student-centred.

My teaching method is looking for what you need and adapt my methodology to You. I don't believe in a strict structure. I can learn you the vocabulary and expressions that people really use in France and/or the real grammar rule as it suits to you.
I try not to be too rigid about my approach. It depends on my student. It is all about creating a fun and creative lesson that would be interesting for everyone. I tend to use various material such as audio and visual ones.
I approach topics the students are interested in with the communicative language teaching or the structural approach depending on which technique is more suitable according to the student’s area of interest. Or, If you prefer a more spontaneous fun way to learn ... i am open to discussions.
- I would always put emphasise on oral communication and understanding the students' needs. I like to base my input on videos and current articles as a starting point in order to increase students' understanding of the language and of some aspects of the culture that are important for their cursus.
My teaching method is based upon my student's needs and will align with their existing knowledge of the language. My aim is to use what students already have, using their own preferred skills in order to progress. Indeed, everyone has different learning preferences and functions differently.
I believe that learning a language comes with repetition and fun. Besides vocabulary lists that need to be learned, holding a conversation is the best way to improve your skills. Text and oral comprehensions are also very useful. Watching movies without subtitles then discussing them during the lesson is an enjoyable way to learn a language.
I identify the needs of the students and focus on supporting them through appropriate strategies and resources. I respond to the particular learning styles of my students, which can vary greatly. My recent experience as a VCE student and my current casual work with secondary students provide me with an insight into the expectations placed on students in order for them to succeed.
To begin with, I think that a good way to study French is to understand the logic that stands behind the language. It is known that French is hard to learn, but anyone can make it if the method is good. Since French is a living language, the most important part - in my opinion - is the oral one. This is why I would like to focus on conversation, oral expression and comprehension.
Depending on your level, I can teach you the basics of French grammar and French verb conjugating system or I can help you practice your speaking skills! Either way, practicing is key so I will come up with exercises you can relate to to help you speak/write/read and understand French !
Hi, I am a fun, caring and thoughtful teacher. I like to find out about what my students like and don’t like to find a way of teaching that each one will find interesting.
I can teach adult and children. I am happy to teach you the way you would like it, meaning if you just want to know basics words, or how to get around in my country, or learn the proper way, I use methodology books and cds, as well as music.
My teaching method is based on 3 criteria: the aim set by the student (for example obtaining a diploma), his weakness that I have identified after 2 lessons, and his progress regarding the exercices I give.
My teaching method is to make the student comfortable and to make the student enjoy this beautiful language. To do so, I try to understand what the student is looking for with me and from there I set a plan. I usually like to start off my lessons with a bit of conversation to set the mood.
My name is Olivia Gravier, I am from Lyon, France, and now live in Adelaide, South Australia. I am a passionate French native speaker and teacher, eager to help students who are keen to learn French for a variety of reasons. My teaching philosophy is based on the Growth Mindset, where you don't know something...yet.
I will define with you what type of tutoring you need (homeworks, conversation,...) and adapt my exercices to your needs. I think that the best way to learn a language is to speak with a native and to discover the French culture through exercices.
My teaching method will include you bringing any problems to me and I'll do my best to make sure you understand it all while having fun with it. Basically working with the resources that you already have and building up from there.
Thanks to my previous experience, my degrees, but also my curiosity and passion for travelling, I have gained an in-depth understanding of languages. I am now ready to share that to anyone who would like to learn more about the French language. Besides being a full-time traveller, I am above all an art lover: music, cinema, literature...
I tailor my teaching to each student's needs. Most of my students are complete beginners, and so lessons are based upon acquiring basic vocabulary, conversational skills, and grammar. I use a variety of media to support my lessons, including film/tv, music, games, literature, etc.
My teaching will be adjusted to the needs and interests of the individual student in question. I emphasize the importance of a strong grammatical foundation, however my primary concern for students is developing strong comprehension skills so as to equip them to engage with a variety of different learning resources.
Depending of the student goals with the lessons, I would have different methodology. If the person just want to learn another language, I think discussion and oral understanding is a good way to get started. For more advanced student, I like to go deeper into grammar (we all know how complicated it can be!) and also learn new expressions and vocabulary.
My teaching method is that the students learn by themselves. I will act as a guide to the students in order to help them find the answer to their questions. The lesson structure will go as per what they are taught in school.
The most important is to feel comfortable to speak. Express yourself in a language with what you have been learning makes you more confident and hungry to learn more.
I base my teaching methodology depending on the level in the language, to ensure fast results for motivated candidates. I also put a strong emphasis on learning deeply the basics of the language, so that the learning process becomes steadily more fluid as we go through.
My teaching method is very simple and attractive. I would introduce you to the basic vocabulary and grammar first. Then, that would be up to you to tell me what subjects you are willing to talk about and learn.
