I aim for a friendly and interactive environment where students can freely interact and provide ideas. Flute lessons will include: warming up activities, technical skills, a range of repertoires, duets, opportunities to perform in front of an audience, and many more. I believe students achieve a great outcome when they enjoy learning.
My lessons are fun and as casual as possible. Depending on your goal in studying with me I will design your lessons so we reach that goal while working at a pace most suitable for you. From kids participating in school band programs to adults and teens wanting to learn Jazz, Blues or Pop I will create individual lesson plans to suite your learning style. AMEB on request.
My teaching method varies according to age and personality, but is basically a combination of traditional teaching, playing by ear, learning to read music, and alternative notation. I use many different strategies depending on the situation. Humour plays a large part in my teaching.
I like to personalise my teaching method for each student. Each student has their own flare and own personality that shows in the instrument. I want to encourage students to find their own musical personality and to allow that to influence everything they play, whether it be scales/warm ups or pieces. As well as pieces, we will work on scales, posture, breathing, timbre, embouchure, and much more.
I plan and prepare my lessons in advance to cater for individual students needs and examination syllabus, while helping students develop a broader appreciation and understanding of music in a variety of styles through looking at theory, sight-singing, composition and other areas. I do my best to create a positive learning environment for students.
My teaching method is very encouraging, yet also pushing the students so they can perform at their best capabilities. I am happy to teach grades 1-4 any age, teaching them grades if they wish or just for leisure. The lesson structure varies from the capabilities of each student.
In each and every lesson, I hope to not only pass on musical knowledge, but also the love for music that has had such a profound impact on my life. I would work to achieve this by working on repertoire with students that they enjoy, as well as giving them a strong foundation in important musical skills including sight reading and technical work.
My teaching method is flipped classroom. Apart from teaching practical techniques in lessons, I will leave students something to reflect or prepare for the next lessom. This approach is to maintain the interaction between us and to allow students to go beyond their normal boundaries and explore their natural curiosity.
My teaching methods will follow on from what my teachers and tutors have applied on me previously. I’m motivating and always please to have my students feel like they have learned something after a lesson from me. Most of the lesson will be practical with some theory to be taught.
My name is Etta McEwan, I have 7 grades of flute under my belt. I attended Hunter School of the Performing Arts and received 97/100 for my HSC Music. I like to start with the basics of reading and technique before starting to tackle pieces of music. My lessons are geared towards beginners not intermediate or expert players.
I like to keep things quite relaxed and quite fun in the classroom. There will be lots of warm ups and games that everyone will enjoy. My lesson structure generally consists of 50% theory and 50% practical exercises. They all contribute to the student's skills and understanding of different aspects of music.
My teaching method is to listen to students' playing then go over again to suggest them better ways to perform, how to practice in order for them to improve quickly. I always want students to have fun with flute.
Mainly will be teaching Flute and Piccolo. Proficient in sight-reading new pieces from start to finish with a high degree of accuracy and at tempo. Talented musician skilled in flute instruction for beginning to intermediate level students. Offers a solid knowledge base of wind instruments and general music theory.
I love to communicate with students and engaging students with a full heart and joy. I seek to equip students with the performance and theoretical skills that will see them excel no matter which path they take in the music. An engaged and determined teacher, I thrive teaching both one-on-one and in group scenarios. I teach students confidently and positively.
I keep trying different methods until I find a window of learning that works for the individual student. My preferred approach is to build a trusting relationship rapport with the student as a person, leading to rapport. Any child can learn when they feel safe, relaxed and motivated.
My teaching method is based differently according to every students needs.
I plan my classes according to the specific needs and desires of the student. I like to establish a relaxed and welcoming environment where students are able to comfortably communicate and feel they are achieving something new each lesson. I have found it is effective to introduce music theory into lessons as soon as a basic understanding of the instrument has been achieved.
My teaching methods is to make flute something enjoyable and be able to pick up easily. By teaching the basics of flute before learning to play a song, students are able to grasp a hold of the true learning of music.
I base my classes off AMEB and if you accelerate I am happy to set a quicker speed for the students needs
My teaching method is all to do with positive reinforcement and encouragement. I like mixing my lessons up a little and doing half theory half practice, so not to get overwhelmed in one or the other.
Hi! My name is Ashleigh and I am a bright and bubbly musician looking to help other musicians learn more about their voices. I have learnt to play many instruments by both tutored and self-taught methods. I am never not singing and love to sing with others.
Each pupil’s lesson is approached with flexibility and support. Encouraging development of a rich and well rounded, tone, musicianship, and enjoyment of the instrument is the most important part of teaching to me.
I carefully tailor each lesson to the students needs and supply appropriate learning materials. I balance lessons between technical exercises, studies and pieces.
My teaching method is geared at creating fun and engaging lesson for my students. As the majority of my students attend primary school, we often play songs that are known and therefore is relevant and interesting. Setting small yet acheivable goals is also important, whether thats to practice one a week or perform for their family.
I base my classes on the students aims and goals and the direction that they want to take their learning
My lessons are aimed at those with beginner to intermediate level music theory knowledge. I assess what previous knowledge the student has to plan out appropriate direction for future lessons. These lessons will generally involve revision of previous concepts, teaching of new concepts and then implementing the concepts in practice.
I have been teaching music for over 25 years. I love what I do. I have taught from my house, in studios and at schools. Teaching all ages and all genres. Lessons are catered to the student depending on what their needs are.
I base my lessons on building the students confidence in their own abilities. Guiding them in their playing and teaching them the skills they need to be confident players.
Lessons will go for 30 minutes and will cover a variety of styles and techniques. I normally teach towards the AMEB exam but am happy to look at other options. My lessons are best for Beginner to intermediate students, I can cater towards advanced saxophone students.
I can teach the basics (embrochure, note reading, fingering and tone) along with other advanced things such as grading and full pieces.
