I gear my classes on specific student needs. Some students prefer conversational English to improve structure and pronunciation, and some prefer a more academic structure with either or all - reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Before I start the class, I make sure that everything that I need in teaching are all well prepared. During the start of the class, I greet my student in a nice way and ask some simple questions like "What's your name? ", "How old are you? " so that I can measure his/her English speaking skills so that I know how to approach him/her.
Communicative approach and task based language teaching is my preferred methods of teaching as they give a lot of opportunity to the students to involve in the learning process. I prefer to approach lessons mainly through arousing curiosity and getting them involve in discussions.
Instead of a traditional method of teaching, I follow a task-based method in which students actively participate in the learning process. I believe in individual care. I can easily build a rapport with my students which makes it easier to know them.
Firstly I begin with simple readinf/writing tasks which give us a base to work upwards from. Any areas identified as weak points are focussed on in individual lesson plans.
Learning is a continuous process. I believe a method called, "from known to unknown" that is use your present skills and knowledge to acquire more unknown knowledge.
I readily adjust the curriculum to the student's ability, to their needs, and to their learning style. I base rewards, reinforcements, and disciplinary actions to meet the likings and the academic requirements of the students. This adaptability encourages students to succeed.
I am a reflective team player with 7 years teaching experience, with an ability to work and liaise with young people and community members in a positive and respectful manner with excellent organisational skills and I give 100% to all I become involved in.

My teaching method is fun and relatable. Using our current environment to learn and understand the Queen's language and practically applying it in day to day life. Watch your English language grow and give you confidence enough to get that job that seems impossible.
When teaching ESL or JSL (Japanese as a Second Language) subjects, I find taking an active learning approach is effective. I prefer to find out what my students want to learn and where they are at with their learning and base my teaching catered towards these needs. Wherever possible, I like to teach in a way that is engaging and fun. I am patient, conscientious and creative.
My teaching method is learner - teacher approach especially in pre school. Individualized instruction is applied to students who are slow learners. Rote learning is not my style. Lessons must be understood and retained to the learners’ mind. I dont introduce a lesson unless the student understands the previous lesson. Remedial lesson is important.
Once your goals are clear , we can focus on the areas you need help. From basic foundational English through to more advanced levels . Including speaking, listening, reading, writing and rapid expansion of vocabulary . You will quickly experience new levels of confidence as you have fun learning your new language.
My tutoring was directed and tailored for specific groups in the O&G construction industry. This included, among others, writing reports and procedures (HSE, operations, progress, etc) and understanding English language contracts. A concise use of English was the main aim.
My teaching method is personally tailor made, I understand students needs and wants and approach studies with appropriate strategies. Classes are always interactive, conversational, interesting and enjoyable. Understanding and patience are essential and I build quality relationship with my students.
