My teaching method is asking and understanding your students. They will be the major factor to discover themselves about what their needs, their lacks and which suit them best. My class will be divided into varied-structures depending activities that I plan in the lessons, such as pair work, discussion groups and so on. My approach will be "student-centred" and be their supporter.
I have no definitive teaching methodology. How I teach very much depends on the situation in which I am teaching. I would conduct a needs and situation analysis before determining the best approach to take. My experience has shown me that different nationalities expect different things from their teacher. Generally those whose level of English proficiency is lower require a more hands-on approach.
My classes are based on a communicative, task-based methodology. It is important for my students to know what we are learning and how this will be useful in their lives. I include a lot of pair and group work and conversational exercises.
I focus on a student-centred approach within all my lessons. This means the needs and interests of each student is carefully considered when planning my lessons. I will track your progress carefully to ensure you are meeting your learning goals whilst making every lesson an enjoyable interaction.
My lessons are geared towards students of all ages, preferably the ages of between 5 to 14 as I love teaching children and kids. I am also delighted to teach any international students wishing to improve their English/ Chinese skills. My lessons will be designed and customised for the student, so there is no specific structure.
Firstly, a training needs analysis is carried out to identify gaps in your knowledge A course plan is created and then approved by you. The communicative approach is used in lessons along with spaced repetition to ensure all grammar and vocabulary is retained. If requested, tests and assignments will be given to check your knowledge.
I believe that the lesson should be tailored to the students' interests and abilities, keeping the content relevant to their lives to maintain focus and using engaging experiences combined with their natural strengths to challenge them to grow with less focus on the result and more focus on the process of learning (e.g. game of charades to guess what word is being acted).
I try to get students excited about what they are creating and learning; by finding a subject the student is interested in, we can explore ways of using language to develop that interest and learn at the same time. I have experience in teaching using a Steiner based curriculum, so creativity is always part of the process.
I try to teach English in the most interactive way, making good use of technology, music, films, books, even games.
I like to base my teaching on an individual approach. Each student will have different needs and I like to isolate those needs and then cater to them by offering a positive role model and new ways of approaching learning and challenges.
I am an eclectic teacher that uses a multifaceted approach to language learning. The focus is on the four macro skills using a variety of teaching strategies and methods. Each method has its place depending on students’ learning needs and the learning task at hand.
I tutor students according to their individual learning style . Like many teachers I don't believe there are "dumb" students but rather there students who have yet to acquire full knowledge of the subjects that they are having problems with.
My teaching method first to ask student requirement and fulfil it as well as to give them extra work on that. My method first to explain topic and then ask any questions and doubt by students and then give them some work by own then I will help them to crack out it.
My teaching method will initially focus on identifying your weaker areas or other areas you would like to focus on within the subject. Once this has been communicated, I will work together with you to ensure your questions are answered and subject matter is understood well, to improve your progress in this subject.
Teaching methods vary based on students requirements: visual, audio, audio-visual, interactive, theoratical, practical, total physical response [TPR], accelerated learning techniques [ALT] or where necessary > a mixture of techniques blended together to provide the candidate/s maximum benefits within a short time period.
My skills are in Financial Management and Workplace Training and my work has usually been in cross-cultural environments. While working in Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam, I was often asked to also teach the English language to local work colleagues. This prompted me to study TESOL over a number of years concluding with Certificate lV in 2011.
My specialties are essay writing, grammar and creative writing, and I am interested in working with students to resolve their literacy issues. Pre-testing is done first, so each student’s writing style and comprehension skills can inform my preparation of an appropriate program for each student. I take into account individual learning styles, as an important aspect of any teaching approach.
Although in Vietnam education, we still focus on the teacher-centred teaching method, i prefer a more progressive approach where in the class i will be a facilitator instead of an authoritative figure.
My teaching method is based on patience and teaching at the pace suitable for the individual student. I have been doing this in a University setting for over 20 years. I have been employed to edit and proofread work from PhD students, and have worked with groups of students to help them with English expression.
My lessons are student centric. I believe in hands on training and involve my students to learn through activities. the lessons usually starts by pointing out the goal/goals that will be achieved at the end of the lesson and then I work towards it along with student needs. Although I plan my lessons, i tweak them according to the need of my students.
My teaching method is translanguaging. I base my classes on learning activities influenced by bloom taxanomy. I approach topic by affording learners an opportunity to formulate and share ideas using different dimensions of their experiences and their entire English linguistic repertoire.
My lessons are geared to adults wanting to develop their English either for travel, study or migration purposes.
Apart from English, I speak three other foreign languages. My creativity and computer skills enable me to present interesting and enjoyable classes. I include in my teaching role playing, fun games, basic online skills (how to set up an online account, create an email address or apply for a job online) and student presentations.
My teaching method is quiet but can also be humourous, and sometimes I use objects of interest to assist with the learning process and which provide more hands-on fun. (eg. fly swatters!) I also use wordgames, puns etc. in both languages, as I have a reasonable working knowledge of Mandarin.
My teaching methodology is too teach and both learn with the student at the same time. It is also too make sure that the student is comfortable and is enjoying themselves while taking their time in learning new and different things.
My Teaching strategy is based on an initial English competency assessment (through general introduction and Q. and A.). Lessons will focus on student goals and cover; vocabulary, fluency, grammar, pronunciation, role playing,. reading and writing comprehension.
Lessons are geared very much to students needs and wants - is there a specific purpose? School outcomes? Business presentations? Improved skills generally? From this knowledge I can tailor make an instructional program for you or your group. Initially I would complete some oral testing and written examples to gauge levels of understanding and needs.
I plan my lessons according to the English level of the student, and try to make learning English enjoyable. I allow the student to decide what they want to focus on (for example, vocabulary, comprehension, academic writing or spelling) and plan the lesson based on what the student wants to learn.
If you're at 5.0 or 5.5, and you need to get 6.0 and above, I can teach you how. If you're at 6.0 and above, I will show you why, and help you to correct to score higher. Firstly, we will discuss your needs, and assess your current levels for the speaking/writing tests, using the public band descriptors to determine WHY you would get your scores - you NEED to know why before you can fix.
I adapt my teaching methods to effectively meet the needs of each student’s learning style and ability. I also utilize my creative skills to foster and promote a fun and exciting learning environment. I believe that learning a language should be engaging and interesting and it is up to the teacher to work with the student to achieve their learning goals.
