I take pride in my students complete understanding of content. In a group tutorial I enjoy planning for the different needs and abilities of the students. My ultimate aim is for students to take responsibility for their own learning and for me to develop positive relationships with them to facilitate their understanding of the curriculum.
All lessons will be tailored to the individual student or students, how they like to learn, and the ways they can practice and learn best.
My teaching method is clear and enjoyable. I approach lessons with a natural wonder for the English language and I build on what you as the learner already knows. I tailor lessons to particular students needs and interests to provide an engaging and meaningful learning experience.
I use phonic method which works very well and gives quick results with all students including those with dyslexia. All reading and writing materials provided for no additional cost. In homework students practice topics which have been discussed/explained during sessions.
I have a very specific tailored methodology for each student depending upon their current english level. I have very different state of the art technique for learning english and scoring 90/90 in PTE. Join in for a free lesson to see for yourself.
I endeavour to incorporate a variety of teaching approaches into each learning experience so that the range in student abilities and the diversity of learning styles are attended to and learning activities are felt to be both relevant and interesting by students. Participative learning needs to be assisted by direct teaching.
The general approach is communicative Language teaching which is modified according to the student's learning style. The lessons are based on the needs of the students in their real life enriched with creative activities to heighten the efficiency of the lessons.
I believe all lessons should be focused around the student and their needs. I'd like to start by identifying exactly what the student is having trouble with. I know that homework can often pile up so I think the best way forward is to begin with basics, to make sure the student understands the area of English they need to work on, so then we can build up to working through homework and assignments.
Everyone has a different learning style. So whether you prefer a more conversational approach or you want to work on particular skills of the language, I will accomodate to your needs. The most important thing is that you ENJOY learning English.
I combine my teaching method depends on the level. For children, I usually apply kinaesthetic learning and direct instruction to build their excitement and prevent from boredom. For youngsters, game-based learning, silent-way and discussion method as they are likely to have problem-solving tasks.
The profile and needs of my students largely affect the teaching methodology that I use. If the students learn best by using the language communicatively, I use the Communicative Language Teaching method. However, if learners prefer explicit grammar lessons, then Grammar-Translation method will be used.
My primary focus is to understand my students objectives in hiring me for their tuition. Once this is understood, I work with my students to structure a plan around achieving their outcomes. My key strengths include preparing students for: Examinations: IELTS, Cambridge, TESOL, etc. Professional: Job interviews, conferences, speech preparation, presentations, etc.
My lessons not only explore the educational aspects of tutoring but also acting as a mentor to my students.
My teaching method is to ask questions. When a student is struggling it often helps them to process what they’re thinking if they’re being asked to explain their thought process. I teach by encouraging and by being involved.
My teaching method is based on interactive and engaging lessons between students and the instructor. I am always interested in what the student is thinking and feeling by eliciting responses based on the participant's interests and experiences.
I have taught vocabulary to final year students wherein I related the words to the real-life experiences that happen in day to day life. With this approach, students could easily remember words for a long time as they could relate it to their experiences. For making the class more interactive I used to conduct games for students with what I have taught them in the classes.
I understand how a pupil's self esteem can fall and motivation to learn can diminish, when difficulties are experienced. This is overcome by allowing a child to achieve success and ultimately empower a pupil to learn independently. Lessons are prepared around the individual's difficulties being experienced and include activities which are varied and enjoyable.
I follow a student-centered approach to teaching. It is very important that the student and I outline together what the student wishes to gain from our lessons. We start by identifying problem areas and specific topics or lessons that give the student trouble and we go from there. Lessons are always unique to the student, and will go at whichever pace is most suited to them.
I believe that providing students with a specific answer is more detrimental than beneficial for their ongoing learning. As such, I try to facilitate their exploration of a topic, building upon their current understanding to a point where they are sufficiently confident and knowledgeable to lead their own learning.
I assess your existing knowledge and discuss goals you want to achieve. I will teach you and guide you according to your preferred learning style. The lessons will be very casual and relaxed, and there will be a variety of teaching aids used.
So I prefer teaching to individuals because I feel this gives the student a more personal approach to learning. I focus on all kinds of students, so your background or your skill level does not faze me; I'm happy to help whomever.
I love learning. I aim to assist with current homework from school. Sometimes it is helpful to have someone to discuss topics and ideas with when doing essential assignments (research project is a big one!) and essays for any class. I can also help go over topics, create personalised study plans and ways to benefit studies.
I am a secondary teaching student at Deakin University and have been tutoring for 8 years. My speciality is teaching English to speakers of other languages and thus have a deep understanding of language foundations. I know three languages: English, French and Spanish and tutor languages, including English as an additional language, maths and biology.
I believe that everyone learns differently, so much so that I feel categorisation of such learning styles into Visual, Aural, etc. to be ineffective. I would like to allow the students to decide how they would like to be taught, and build a method of teaching around this.
My teaching methodology is based upon understanding the student, approaching them and their work with assertiveness, kindness as well as friendliness, helping them to achieve their full potential. I am to teach them based upon how they feel they learn best.
What most teachers and tutors don't understand is the importance of teaching based on individual needs. Not everyone learns or grasp concepts the same way. Therefore, I like to begin my lessons with noting down problems that the student has from their school curriculum or in general.
Lessons consist of reading, writing, listening and speaking, discussing grammar and sentence structure. Homework will be given and additional learning aids might also be used during lessons and for homework. Reading is definitely the most important vocabulary builder, thus I will recommend reading English books (or books translated into English, if that is easier) apart from homework.
I use student centred approach.
In my lessons I use a vast variety of materials personally tailored to each student's needs, assign written and memorising tasks. Lessons consist of listening, spoken, written and reading learning components. I try to make learning fun and enjoyable for all.
Firstly, I'll let student watch movies with English subtitles, remember words, expressions and get used to English environment and ways of thinking. Secondly, I'll let student watch the same movie again and again without subtitles to enhance their listening. However, enlarging vocab. and doing exercise is also important.
