I take pride in my students complete understanding of content. In a group tutorial I enjoy planning for the different needs and abilities of the students. My ultimate aim is for students to take responsibility for their own learning and for me to develop positive relationships with them to facilitate their understanding of the curriculum.
All lessons will be tailored to the individual student or students, how they like to learn, and the ways they can practice and learn best.
All my classes focus on improving general spoken English and making sure your vocabulary is constantly expanding. I spend lots of time correcting students to ensure their language and pronunciation is constantly getting better. All materials are provided and I give lots of speaking time.
My teaching method is student-centred, in that it is flexible to the needs and expectations of each student. I apply communicative and content-based approaches to teaching English language and literature. I use creative ways to teach students difficult concepts and ideas.
My teaching method is clear and enjoyable. I approach lessons with a natural wonder for the English language and I build on what you as the learner already knows. I tailor lessons to particular students needs and interests to provide an engaging and meaningful learning experience.
I use phonic method which works very well and gives quick results with all students including those with dyslexia. All reading and writing materials provided for no additional cost. In homework students practice topics which have been discussed/explained during sessions.
I have a very specific tailored methodology for each student depending upon their current english level. I have very different state of the art technique for learning english and scoring 90/90 in PTE. Join in for a free lesson to see for yourself.
My name is Paul Kikos. I am an Australian born citizen and speaker that prides himself on effective communication skills and techniques. Formerly a stay at home parent to twins, the importance of effective communication is reinforced daily with the challenge of raising healthy and intelligent little humans.
By scaffolding on what you already know I can develop an individual program to build confidence and English language that is relevant to you across a range of contexts. Programs begin with fun games and topical conversations building into grammar and language acquisition.
My teaching methodology is based around what I call 'Deliberate Conversation'. This means having a conversation just like you would with anyone else, but when we come across words that are new, or constructions and idioms that you could use to make your English sound better, we will write them down and practise them, and keep practising them in further lessons.
I endeavour to incorporate a variety of teaching approaches into each learning experience so that the range in student abilities and the diversity of learning styles are attended to and learning activities are felt to be both relevant and interesting by students. Participative learning needs to be assisted by direct teaching.
All individuals are different and I believe in the importance of scaffolding and differentiation in my approaches. I start off by discussing my students' eventual goals from my classes and accordingly, customise a lesson plan. My focus will be on ensuring that my students have learnt the content, which will be assessed through practical examples and evidence that they will find and/or use.
The general approach is communicative Language teaching which is modified according to the student's learning style. The lessons are based on the needs of the students in their real life enriched with creative activities to heighten the efficiency of the lessons.
I believe all lessons should be focused around the student and their needs. I'd like to start by identifying exactly what the student is having trouble with. I know that homework can often pile up so I think the best way forward is to begin with basics, to make sure the student understands the area of English they need to work on, so then we can build up to working through homework and assignments.
Everyone has a different learning style. So whether you prefer a more conversational approach or you want to work on particular skills of the language, I will accomodate to your needs. The most important thing is that you ENJOY learning English.
I approach each topic by starting from the very basic and helping students understand the principles using real life examples. This helps people relate and understand the underlying concepts behind everything. My teaching is mostly based around the needs of a specific student.
I combine my teaching method depends on the level. For children, I usually apply kinaesthetic learning and direct instruction to build their excitement and prevent from boredom. For youngsters, game-based learning, silent-way and discussion method as they are likely to have problem-solving tasks.
The profile and needs of my students largely affect the teaching methodology that I use. If the students learn best by using the language communicatively, I use the Communicative Language Teaching method. However, if learners prefer explicit grammar lessons, then Grammar-Translation method will be used.
My teaching method is based on meeting the needs of the learner, ascertaining areas of strength and improvement. Lessons are student centred and structured using the combination of teacher modelling, guided practice and then independent mastery of skills and concepts , with re teaching included as necessary.
My teaching method is to truly understand the student's language needs and encourage them to become interested, independent learners through practical application of their skills. I also aim to give my students the confidence to use English as the primary language of communication.
My primary focus is to understand my students objectives in hiring me for their tuition. Once this is understood, I work with my students to structure a plan around achieving their outcomes. My key strengths include preparing students for: Examinations: IELTS, Cambridge, TESOL, etc. Professional: Job interviews, conferences, speech preparation, presentations, etc.
Initially, I carry out a needs assessment and my focus is on addressing the relevant needs of the individual student in a communicative and supportive manner. I have had full time industry experience for more than 30 years and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge into lessons. The student in involved in the learning process from the first lesson.
My lessons not only explore the educational aspects of tutoring but also acting as a mentor to my students.
My teaching method is to ask questions. When a student is struggling it often helps them to process what they’re thinking if they’re being asked to explain their thought process. I teach by encouraging and by being involved.
My teaching method is based on interactive and engaging lessons between students and the instructor. I am always interested in what the student is thinking and feeling by eliciting responses based on the participant's interests and experiences.
My teaching method is light and fun. I approach each topic methodically and provide detailed explanations wherever necessary. I believe you have to learn by doing and you will be successful as long as you try your best and never give up.
Basically, I employ the Socratic Method of teaching, to have interaction between and among students and the teacher. I'm more on the philosophy of constructivism. I usually involved kids to think and solve or analyse things rather than simply giving them answers.
I have taught vocabulary to final year students wherein I related the words to the real-life experiences that happen in day to day life. With this approach, students could easily remember words for a long time as they could relate it to their experiences. For making the class more interactive I used to conduct games for students with what I have taught them in the classes.
I understand how a pupil's self esteem can fall and motivation to learn can diminish, when difficulties are experienced. This is overcome by allowing a child to achieve success and ultimately empower a pupil to learn independently. Lessons are prepared around the individual's difficulties being experienced and include activities which are varied and enjoyable.
As the main responsibility of a teacher is to provide knowledge and information to the students, I believe that trust, loyalty and understanding is a key to an effective relationship between the teacher and the students, which is fundamental to successful achievements.
