I bring the learning skills of a professional classical musician and advanced language learner to my teaching. I have years of experience teaching language learning (and music), and have taught in private language schools in Australia, China and Japan, and at two universities overseas.
I will use duolingo classroom where needed and my lessons will be based on material from the app as well as my own.
There are two different styles of lesson that I usually do with my private tutoring students. - The first style is to use a book or other learning materials so that the student can learn in a structured way that includes homework that they will need to complete between lessons. This style is more suitable for students that are in elementary or junior high school.
My class is intended to be fun but there is a real learning in each class. I do believe that real learning comes out from our real interests. So when you think and find it boring then, you don't learn it actually. So I lead my students into their interested topics and relate those topics to all of our lessons including vocabularies, grammar, speaking, listening, and writing.
My initial teaching method would be to get to know how each student learns on their own. I base my lessons on the level they are at and plan the lessons according to what I think is helpful to them. Most of my students are either vietnamese people who want to learn english or english people who want to learn the vietnamese language.
I change my method of teaching according to the person. If someone wants to focus more on grammar, I would teach them it more. I try to make lessons interactive, with some videos, images, music, involving the student into the lesson, so they can also practice their speaking.
My teaching method is initially establishing the main goal of the client. I coach the conversational method and take it from there. I also research important educational topics in order for my clientele to be able to learn English language efficiently. These materials could come in written reports or exercise (could be homework). Visit or attend an Educational exhibitions or expo.
I believe in learner-centred method and getting to know my students well. Together we will discover your learning style and I will guide you in finding effective strategies to study English. Maybe you look for just improving your speaking, or you want to write a great essay or give a perfect presentation. You are in the right place.
First of all I see what a student needs to be helped with and then plan lessons making them as practical as possible. I am patient and enjoy motivating students. I use current resources but like to create appropriate materials to progress students.
I first see what are the needs of students and like to make up lessons accordingly. Practical approach for all lessons, encouraging and working towards improvement in confidence and ability, with emphasis on diagnosing and giving practice in a relaxed manner.
My teaching methodology changes depending on what my students require. I have taught General English from Beginner to Advanced levels as well as taught specifically test preparation courses. IELTS, Cambridge PET/FCE/Advanced as well as Proficiency test preparation courses are my area of expertise.
My teaching methodology is based on the Cambridge CELTA model, although generally generally my classes are a mixture of inductive and deductive activities.
I like to work with students to identify areas of weakness and then develop a strategy together to work on improving in these areas.
I base my classes on experiencing the language in different ways - reading, writing, speaking, listening. I try to do so in creative and fun ways. I can help with anything from classwork, general language studies, written work, or preparation for a specific event and/or project.
Let's get talking from day one! I will be teaching language that is relevant to you in your daily life. You have the option to follow a course, or just improve your conversational skills.
My lessons are based on you. After 1-2 lessons with me I will discover your weaknesses and the areas in which you desire to improve in. This will become the basis of our lessons together and I am capable and confident in tailoring the content I provide to match your specific needs.
My strong opinion is that learning is a shared journey and I will learn as much from you as I teach. So my first step is always to understand you, your background, where you are coming from and to conduct a shared needs analysis. For instance, you may wish to improve spoken English for business purposes. Or perhaps you need to raise your IELTS score in one domain.
My lessons are usually focused on the particular subject / problem that the student needs to help with. I am able to help with home assessments, increasing vocabulary, improving grammar or just to help with conversation topics. during the first lessons, I can estimate what the student needs to improve.
I am incredibly friendly and approachable! I place an emphasis on fine-tuning pronunciation and encouraging natural conversation to develop language skills applicable to daily life or business. I offer an introductory consultation/interview to develop a curriculum unique to the individual needs of each student.
I prefer to let students find their motivation for learning and be inspired to acquire new knowledge. I prefer a relaxed environment during lessons. I believe each individual or learner is unique, therefore my teaching method will be customised according to students' need.
My teaching method has always been based on making the classroom a pleasant enviroment where students can learn while having a nice time. I focus on speaking even when I teach Grammar, and I link it with student's everyday life.
Having a wide experience in teaching, I have honed my teaching skills by experimenting different teaching strategies and methods according to the learner's abilities, learning style, and background. I practice student-centered approach where students develop reciprocity and cooperation within the learning environment and respecting each student's diverse talents and ways of learning.
I am a full-time uni student currently studying a Bachelor of Creative & Interactive Media, looking to tutor students that are seeking help with the English language, as well as additional help with both pronunciation and comprehension.
I believe the best way to get my students to learn is through active learning. I ensure that my students should be engaged in what they are being taught through discovery learning and practical application. My typical lesson structure would be: 1. Hook - this will be a stimulus to excite the student, such as a picture, video, quote, question, true or false statement.
My pedagogy is encouraging, thorough, enthusiastic, meticulous and interest driven. I style my teaching from the great teachers in my life and have identified what are the worst ways to pass on knowledge. I think it is critical to have a positive work environment to spur on creative and critical thinking in matters of education.
I am a language teaching professional with specialization in TESOL and Linguistics. I have extensive experience teaching diverse ages and circumstances. I have achieved high levels of academic success with professional education and quality training, as well as multicultural experience, having taught people from a range of cultural backgrounds.
Depending on the specific needs of students, I usually begin my sessions with conversations that make use of the vocabulary and grammar we are currently studying. We focus on pronunciation, intonation, sentence structure, questions and negatives. My priority is for students to use what they learn through taking risks and practising in a supportive environment.
My style of tutoring is more practical, I like to get to know the people I am teaching so that they feel more comfortable with me. Practice. Practice. Practice! I believe that it is very important to practice what you learn, in my experience I believe the best way to do this is by having conversations often. By using what you learn, it will indefinitely help you to become better at English.
I goal as a teacher is to see my students flourish through the fun and enjoyment in learning. Being a tactile learner myself I like to include a variety of activities to my teaching to keep students engaged and interested.
I am very direct in my teaching style. I believe that the first thing is for the students to be comfortable, relaxed and trusting. I think that if you make mistakes then this is a good thing. You cannot improve without making errors. I try to make it comfortable for the student to willingly make errors and have trust and confidence in me.
