I have taught English and French to students of all ages: primary, middle school, secondary school, universities and even adults. My objective is to adapt my teaching to the needs and levels of my student(s). I believe in teaching practical useful things.
My teaching methods are based on traditional methods and my own methods (which I have developed and utilised over the last 30 years). I use newspaper articles, short stories, songs and other media to teach my classes and my students always walk out of my classes more knowledgable.
I hold all my students in unconditional positive regard. I am respectful, patient and compassionate. I use empathy to connect and am quite creative in how I convey knowledge. I have worked with people ages 12-82.
I aim to teach English to students in a casual manner allowing them to feel comfortable in their ability and to learn at their own pace. I have held a TESOL Certificate IV for over ten years. Students are able to feel relaxed within my lessons, helping them to learn more.
My sessions are based upon the internationally recognized CELTA model, designed to target individual needs in reading, speaking, and writing. Students will benefit from motivational yet relaxed sessions. Course material comes from academic as well as eclectic resources gained from years of diverse teaching experience.
My methodology is outcomes-based, which means I aim to get the results that you require. If you're studying for an English exam, let's pass it! If you have essays or presentations for university, let's make them the best they can be! As a highly qualified and experienced ESL teacher, I can cater to your needs.
I can give private lessons at your place or in the local library. Also, I am open to using any platform like skype etc for your convenience. The first lesson will be about the structure. Then we will spend two-three lessons for each module - writing, reading, speaking and listening. We can slow down or speed up depending on your pace and skill.
I base my lesson on the students skill. for beginners i start of slowly creating lessons every day with plays and dialogues.Follow up these skills with homework lesson. My teaching method is to teach both reading and writing at the same time.
My teaching methodology is Humanist - that is, I teach in the way that suits you best. We are all individual in the ways that we learn best. My job as your tutor is to understand your way and how we, together, can maximise your learning achievements.
I base my teaching on a students needs. I prefer a practical/ hands-on approach and want to make the lessons fun and realistic. I really understand how hard it is to understand our Australian accent, our "words" for different things including reading mail from Centrelink, Medicare etc.
In my classroom we work with fun. I am not here to tell you that you are wrong. We work together as a team and learn at a slow pace, so that everyone in the class is understanding and has a chance to speak up if they are struggling. I even like to use find-a-words with my students, this helps with the correct spelling and pronunciation of the words they are searching for.
I will approach students' learning with a simple approach.
My lessons are based on the student's goals and aspirations to learn English, their interests and self-pace. I will accommodate any specific preferences to ensure that these goals are achieved as we work together to overcome challenges and learn new skills.
Most of my teaching has been in classes or rooms or offices. My students had varying degrees of English comprehension and conversation so I had to be inclusive and yet meeting different levels within the group. We always have fun.
I base my lessons on the needs of the students. They need to learn what is going to help them achieve what they want to achieve. If a student needs to develop his/her speaking skills to get a job, then that's what we'll work on. It's all about giving students what they need to succeed and achieve their goals.
My teaching method is relaxed and easy going. I base my classes on practical application and hands on activities than traditional black board teaching. I believe that learning can be fun and interesting if it is thought in an interesting way.
I evaluate students through verbal and written exams and identify areas needing improvement. My classes are then based on tasked assignments to reinforce learning. I share instant feedback to motivate students to continue learning. My plan of action will align with the student's needs and interests ensuring full engagement from the students at all times.
My approach to teaching is highly student-centred and communicative. I find out what the student wants and adapt my classes to their needs. I focus equally on all language skills, including pronunciation, and make sure that all my lessons are challenging and enjoyable.
My teaching method is student centred and both inquiry baced learning and cooperative one. Every student will be taught based on an specific lesson plan and method. I will act both as a facilitator and a delegator. Definitely the method of teaching will vary depending on students.
I work hard at anything I do and I pride myself in the end results of any class I teach. I love to be given the chance to teach the English language as a communication tool for people whose first language is not English or who have recently migrated to Australia.
My teaching method is to practice more and always look for new phrases. Speaking can be difficult to improve if there is no one to correct you and practice with you. I would encourage students to practice with strangers and always listen the local conversations.
I love to understand the capacity of the student then start from their level and improve/ advance their language, writing and listening skills. I also will create lessons, tests and activities that will engage the student to improve their skills.
I can guarantee that my lessons will cater to your ability in addition to being engaging. I value reflective practice, am determined to provide the most suitable methodology to your needs and approach every lesson with a variety of strategies.
During my sessions I will try my very hardest to make my students feel as comfortable as possible. In the beginning it would be ideal to get to know who I am working with.
I use a variety of course books. I also assist students with any course material which they have to study for a university or college course. Any field of interest will be taught. I also use newspapers and other materials which ensure that students practice everyday Australian English. Idioms and colloquial language are explained.
I based my classes according to the students levels and planning lesson and activities based on their preferred learning style and which can make them enjoying the lessons
English is the language of science, of aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism. Knowing English will increase your chance of getting a good job in a multinational company within your home country or of finding work abroad. Learning has a strategy.
I don't believe in a pre-planned rigid and monotonous approach to teaching.
Teaching and assessments are connected; student learning is continuously measured during teacher instruction.
My teaching method is a mixture of methodologies but the greatest method are enjoyment in the lesson and to make the lesson real, exciting and enjoyable and memorable!! My lessons combine a variety of modes for creative learning!!!
