I have experience with both University and School institutions. I love teaching and seeing my students achieve! I like to try and relate to my students, everyone is different and has their own strengths and weaknesses.
I assist students that are struggling with specific aspects or tasks (presentation, speech, essay). The students bring their problem to the table, and we work together to solve the issue. Lessons are usually an hour long, and we use Skype, and email to exchange documents and send annotated copies of work.
My teaching is simple. I ensure that the material helps students develop their vocabulary and writing skills. Each of the assignments is fun and at the same time educational.
My teaching method involves understanding the student's goals, and tailoring the lesson to suit their current needs/upcoming assessment tasks at school. This may involve workshopping an essay, or creative writing piece, to analysing prescribed to texts, to helping construct multimedia assessments.
It depends on the students learning style - but very interactive and I expect the student to be well prepared & opinionated
My teaching methods are focused around individual students, first ascertaining what it is that they need to focus on, and working on those areas in a way that is most effective for their learning style and helps them achieve their goals. I often use guided exercises to help a student discover things for themselves, as I find this is the most effective way of cementing knowledge.
My teaching pedagogy is heavily focused around differentiated learning. I assess my students needs and personalise their learning schedule to cater for their needs. Getting to know my student and their guardian is important to me, as students need to feel compfortable in their learning environment in order to learn effectively.
My teaching method depends upon the student and what their goals are. From there i will develop a study plan that works towards these goals. Additionally, as literature is a passion of mine i approach the subject with enthusiasm, and will hopefully help a student discover something they find truly interesting within the discipline.
I like to break everything down so it’s easily to understand and build up slowly. I like to take a nurturing and patient approach so my learners don’t feel overwhelmed or flustered by the experience.
I can help in all areas of English. From basic classes on the language to helping write essays for uni or high school students. I’m here to help all needs.
My teaching method depends on your needs! If you are interested in essay writing help, I am able to help draft and edit your work to best express your ideas.
As a tutor, the key is to listen carefully to the students’ individual needs, personality and learning style, in order to identify and bring clarity to the areas requiring support. It is essential to build rapport, to encourage and motivate, to develop a safe and supportive space. The key to learning is feeling relaxed, heard and valued.
I will talk to you about what you want and think you need and then at the end of the first lesson I will make decisions based on what you say and what I think. I will then find some tasks to do together.
For me, the most important thing is listening and connecting with the student and understanding their connection with English so I can formulate a plan which suits them individually. Most importantly I make sure that the student understands the themes they are discussing so that their writing can flow from a base of understanding.
My teaching methodology will be tailored to the needs of each student, but generally aims to teach students the skills required to interpret texts with depth and clarity, and to advance their writing skills, so that their work is very much their own.
I believe inspiration is a key factor of creative writing.Positive feedback and editing are essential to also really focus on the development of narrative .I prefer smaller classes and subscribe to the integrity of the learning experience where the intuition of the student must be nutured.
I support school students in areas requiring assistance- allowing them to work at their own pace, ensuring they thrive and improve. My structure of lessons is dependant on the individual and their needs- this requires an additional 30 mins for first session in order to identify the individuals learning needs and build rapport.
My teaching methodology is firm, but gentle. I believe in reformative practices, and continuous reporting. I value a growth mindset.
My teaching style is very student centred. I cater to the student's learning styles and interests. I also strongly believe in differentiation and can offer approaches that incorporate the latest findings in education theory and practice. With the right encouragement and approach, everyone can achieve their goals.
I am to stem my lessons from what the teachers have students working on, or areas that a particular student needs a bit of added help. I am happy to assist in research, writing essays or other assignments, and editing essays (for English and History specifically, but I may also be able to assist in other subjects).
I am 38 and I am best suited to children from 5 to 11 years of age. I have years of experience with children struggling at school and finding homework difficult. I have a degree and love working with children.
I aim to support the child in line with their classroom teacher and provide supplementary learning when gaps are identified. Where possible I would provide practice as part of games or enjoyable activities. I always attempt to appeal to a child’s interests and creativity.
At the risk of getting too zen-monk on you here: "In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities and in the expert’s mind, there are few." [Shunryu Suzuki]. I encourage and uplift the beginners mind in all my students - thereby teaching them how to learn anything, adapt to changing circumstances and build resilience for a big, full life.
My teaching style is quality and quantity based where students feel comfortable to share their problems without any hesitation.
I base my approach on what is the objective. I build smaller goals based on that objective, and attain it one at a time. Though time is of the essence, I believe that when learning is concerned, it is best for it to take time. If an approach doesn't work, I don't force it. Instead, I try a different way.
I am more than happy to work with the various needs of all students, whether it be working through assessment pieces, improving reading comprehension, or improving literacy skills. My lessons will cater to the present needs outlined by the student and/or guardian.
I work best with children up to year 12 and young adults assisting with resumes and cover letters. I will listen to the childs problems with learning and work around what they are having issues with. I work with creating a new way for them to retain the information.
I firmly believe that each individual learns differently and that with a little patience and a holistic approach, any student can achieve their goals. I try to find ways to explain concepts to students which make more sense to their personal learning style than traditional teaching methods within a school setting, and mould them into independent learners who are still supported where they need it.
I like to use the socratic method of finding answers. I work with students to find out what they need, and the best way to get there. I understand that everybody has different needs and learns differently and I tailor my approach accordingly.
My teaching philosophy is centred on understanding. My belief is that if a student has the proper groundwork in place, they can achieve anything! Hence, my focus tends not to be on just completing a specific assignment or essay but on a deeper comprehension of texts and questions.
