I start my beginner students with a lexical approach to the language, and then incorporate grammar slowly and clearly. I try to break down grammar structures and help my students "think" like an English speaker. I also cater to more advanced students looking to prepare for a test, interview, or just wanting to brush up on their English.
Usually, from the very beginning of my teaching I want students to have a very clear concept about some specific forms of tense because from my empirical knowledge, I found that it enhances people's ability more than 60% to understand English well when they know some basic forms of tense.
My method in teaching is done entirely in the target language.Learning is largely by translation to and from the target language. Grammar rules are to be memorized and long lists of vocabulary learned by heart.
My method is a two-way collaboration. I assess your learning needs and grow from there. I’m effective, professional, friendly and approachable. I am not strict, but can guarantee that your English will improve effectively. I also like to make your learning experience with me fun and enjoyable.
I work with students errors and areas of weakness to remove the errors from their speaking and then focus on developing vocabulary and the ability to speak on a variety of topics. I also usually like to give written homework connected to the speaking topics we have covered in our lessons as I believe this helps the lesson to stick in students minds so that they can remember things more easily.
My expertise lies in preparing lesson plans, exercises, games, assessments and curricula. I personally love learning and teaching languages as it opens new paths to better knowledge and understanding of different cultures and universality. I provide all material and assessment. I structure lessons according to the linguistic needs of the student.
I used to teach English for IELTS students prior to coming to Australia through a structured learning. Grammar is my focus point.
Methodology is to teach using lots of study methods and patience.
My teaching method is based on pictures, imagines and real-life conversation and experience to keep the student always involved in the conversation. Also adaptive recalls and a single personal customized tracking on progress and vocabulary developing.
I do not have one individual teaching methodology - instead I provide STUDENT- centred learning - adapting my style and the content of lessons to each individual's needs and preferences.
I belive that practice makes perfect, so if you don't put in any work, you can't expect results. My focus is practical use of the language (speaking, listening, reading, writing) and I have had a lot of success with various students who became more fluent in day to day interactions.
I take full responsibility of a student's studies and approach the coursework from the student's viewpoint. I make sure the concept is clear and give exercises after every lecture. I take short exams at least thrice a week and long exams by the end of the month to make sure the student is well prepared for the exams to come.
I like student centered learning and communicative approaches . I feel it is essential to practice speaking skills. I like to integrate as many of the 4 - reading , writing , speaking and grammar skills as possible into my lessons.
I evaluate your English level, establish your learning goals and tailor my lessons accordingly to achieve your goals in an efficient manner. Moreover, I get to know you and find what kind of teaching methods suit you.
Teaches on from simple grammar (if you are taking a new language ) or helps you and improve on your writing and your vocabulary .
My teaching method is very student centred. Depending on the student/s goal for the lessons the session may be more task based or more dialogue and conversation focussed. My lessons are geared towards those who already have a base in English (even if just a small amount) and are looking to expand their level towards an exam grade.
The first thing I do is to gain a thorough understanding of each student's learning situation: current English level, desired learning outcomes and linguistic background (Native language, other languages spoken). This helps me to tailor my teaching to suit the student.
I use a variety of sources to help students learn. I develop my own educational resources to tailor the content to varying levels of abilities. I use the International Phonetics Alphabet to explain accurate pronunciation. I have been studying articulatory phonetics and I teach students how to pronounce sounds like native speakers. I explain grammar and make sure students have plenty of practice.
My teaching methodology is geared towards each individuals learning style and skill level. I embody the philosophy that learning should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, yet I structure disciplined lessons that will improve one's study habits and work efficiency.
I believe that every student can tremendously improve in whatever they are trying to learn given enough meticulous and precise guidance. I try to target the student's general weaknesses in the subject in order to achieve as much improvement as possible. My design of the lesson structure will thus also be wholly catered to the particular student as well.
My teaching method varies according to the students. For the students who are highly motivated, I will give them less guidance and let them think more independently. For students who are lack of motivation, I will give them more instructions. In conclusion, the teaching method focuses on the students.
I have been working independently as a private tutor for High School students since 2011. I assess each student individually, and then cater the lessons to their specific requirements. We focus on assessments, reviews according to unit outline, developing strong essays through textual analysis, and exam techniques that consistently achieve Band 6 results.
I conduct classes in the form of group discussions and approach one specific aspect of writing per class, around which a weekly exercise is based. For example, during the week of studying character, we shall be reading certain character centric works, looking at how the writer develops characterization and then diving into a group feedback based exercise about character and its uses in writing.
I base my teaching on ensuring that the student understands the concept fully before moving onto advanced/difficult problems. I believe that true understanding begins from the habit of repeated reviewing of one's work; therefore constant effort is required to produce an outstanding yet consistent work.
My teaching method is communicative teaching(CLT) and task-based language learning method. Lesson structure: Lead-in: Arising students interest and they are motivated to learn. Content: materials which cover the knowledge point.
My approach to teaching is to tailor classes to the students needs, build student's confidence and help them achieve their goals.
For all students, I give a discounted first lesson. I usually go through with them their goals & expectations and develop a study plan that will be the most effective. I do my best to facilitate independent learning, a desire for learning and developing good study habits which is important for life-long success in all aspects of life.
I specialise in the formal structure of essay writing, as well as grammar and vocabulary.
I am a 29 year old native speaker, from Australia. I work at a school in the CBD called Cambridge College International.
I have one-on-one classes with students, whereby I correct and explain their Task writings and Speaking errors. Furthermore I then show students appropriate vocabulary, structures, grammar and other features for them to attain their required Band achievement or Band score.
