my teaching methodology is use the tools, methods and techniques that can be used in making art works. I want to teach students that want to learn the basics of drawing, painting and printmaking. Usually, this means looking at using the various media and techniques to make individual artworks.
I approach the topic through a basic view. I like to add depths step by step as I like to teach the logic behind each step and also I believe this way students learn better. However, I tend to focus on a subject for a particular time until I believe the student has got a grasp over it.... In this way you become confident and like to push yourself further...
I have taught a whole range of budding artists in the last 10 years, from 6 to 90 years old: some were experienced artists, some were complete beginners; My classes are flexible, confidence building, fun and effective. Some anted to improve their drawing, some wanted to discover watercolour.

My teaching method is very hands on, with a "follow along" structure for the student to learn with their hands. For example, first projects would look like a completed flip book. Classes commence with basic technique skill, design and art concepts, usually working with one medium to begin with until the students developed their technique. As classes continue we increase the variety of mediums to find the ones that suit the student.
