My name is Lisa, and I focus on drawing processes that explore subjects of curiosity for my students. Regardless of skill or experience levels, we use fun forms of creative attention to free up expressive flow and openness to experimental media.
I've had a lot of art teachers in my education so by now I know the teaching style I like. I'll focus on fundamentals such as light/colour/tone etc, but keep subject matter interesting. No hours of drawing cubes and spheres and painting colour wheels. If there's an art goal you want to reach, maybe a particular character you want to perfect, then I can help you get there.
My Teaching method is for students to get the hands on experience in different techniques in different subjects. As a method I will not base the subject on lot of theory and make it more fun, practical to work with.
I have 12 years teaching experience at a University for a range levels and ages and can be flexible teaching methods for your needs (e.g. basic knowledge of drawing, water colour, acrylic and oil painting and portraits).
With strong inspiration drawn from the diverse natural habitats that flourish on Australia’s east coast, as well as the diverse presentations of the human form, instruction is on a one-to-one or small groups basis - allowing for great flexibility.
I have a lot of work experiences related to art (art tutor, fashion designer, artist, illustrator, graphic designer & food stylist) and my teaching methods always pay attention to nurturing creativity and confidence for students to present themselves through various forms of art (watercolor painting, oil painting, pencil painting).
Each lesson we will briefly look at a famous artist as an example of a particular technique, medium or genre and then create our own unique interpretation, collecting all sketches, paintings and fact sheets in a folder, so that students can see the progression of skills they are acquiring and also the difference in the quality of their work over time.
I have a very logical approach to teaching art that focuses on giving students real answers to improve their art. Assessing the artists current level and their personal goals, we will work towards developing a healthy mindset for improvement and a strong basis in the fundamentals.
My teaching methodology begins by discovering what you already know how to do and teaching you how to improve each day, teaching new techniques and what best fits your drawing profile, after all, every artist must be original. Or if you want, I can also teach you whatever you want to learn, be it art history or drawing using photoshop.
My teaching method is by parts- I always conduct a introductory lesson to gauge the level of my students and plan out the following weeks based on their current skill level. I approach lessons by increasing difficulty and believe that learning via example and by practice is the way to go.
My teaching methodology is based on a student-led approach whereby I tailor creative individual learning projects to a student's interests and knowledge. This means that each student's lesson structure will be uniquely based on their real-world experiences.
For over twenty years I was a self-taught artist, so I have a good grasp of the common struggles that students face. Since 2009 I've been attending classes through TAFE and the National Art School, graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Sculpture.
My teaching methods consist of helping my students have a brief understanding of the elements and principles of art and what they mean. Lessons will be structured with theory as well as practical art and different types of art and what suits the student personally better.
I have always been keen to work with people especially with kids not only to better themselves in traditional art techniques but also for them to see art in a fun and relaxing way.
I start of by determining the goals of my student. From there, I will find ways to guide my student to achieve what they desire. I am happy to teach individually or in groups. Classes will be casual and fun. My aim of tutoring is to instill help my students find enjoy art.
I teach patience keep training the eyes to see what you draw in your mind or by a copy or like photos or port-rates so on i also have certificates and teach the easy way to draw although this takes practice UNDER guidance of a good teacher preferred so as to master it.
If u r interested, just pm me. Btw, if u can help with my oral English, the class can be free. The level of drawing difficulty will depend on urself and I’ll change the teaching method up to ur learning conditions.
I will use brainstorming as a thinking strategy to help students come out questions, ideas, and examples and to explore an interesting idea to develop their drawing. I will also use participatory design method to let students all engage in.
I base each lesson on the students needs- which are established in the first meeting. Each customised lesson is based on Art History - be it a specific Artist, period, or medium. Lessons are designed for the students age and needs.
Student centered approach depending on students needs. Do you want to learn to have fun with art, develop skills: a conceptual approach, for personal exploration of your individual style.
I use painting and drawing as a way for children to learn to express themselves and find good ways to communicate. Not only did I focus on painting and drawing as something aesthetic, but also as a tool that can be very useful in its development.
I focus my classes in warming up the atmosphere through painting (or sculpure or both) exercises so to make sure the student(s)gets into a creative sense of being. I aim to facilitate individuals in their quest of finding themselves in the center of a creative universe, and from that point on they become masters of their own art (through proposed techniques and possible discussions).
My classes are about developing and experimenting, and pushing the boundaries of your current skill set by trying new processes, methods and practices. I believe everyone can have a go at art, whether it is fine art, craft, or design.
I love the Reggio Emilia Approach and I went to a Steiner school myself, so I believe greatly in taking time with learning each new skill. I like to find out what students are passionate about and want to learn more about and base the lessons around that.
My teaching method is based on teaching basic perspective, construction, anatomy design, composition and how to mix colours with a simplified but highly effective use of colour theory, and will be elucidated by lectures talks and continuous demonstrations.I am fully conversant with the latest learning theories.
The principle I base my lessons on is not just to teach fine arts, but to inspire a passion for them because that is fundamental to the development of an authentic style in the future. I would like to establish a free creative space while keeping the emphasis on different techniques and artistic mediums to create a broad experience.
My teaching method is simply to find out what sort of drawing the student is interested in and what type of outcomes you are looking for then to adjust the lessons to that. If the student wants to take on technical drawing or design sketching or wants to follow a more general approach suitable for other forms of design or illustration then these can be accommodated for.
I love drawing and my approach is to provide quality materials and a quiet space to focus, engage and learn both technique and what it means to express a part of who you are in drawn form. Drawing is both joyful and rewarding. It is a direct tool for communication and self expression.
I believe learning should be fun so I use games and art experiences to make it less abstract and help fix ideas in visual memory. I find this works very well with students whose learning style doesn't always match the way they are being taught. Such students are often labelled inappropriately as 'slow learners'or 'disinterested'. Stimulating the imagination is a very important key to learning.
My approach to tutoring is based around being encouraging, fostering a fun creative environment and providing constructive feedback. I aim to build on a student's existing strengths and help them to achieve their individual goals.
