My teaching lessons are fairly relaxed. Simply show me your current homework, syllabus or tell me anything you would like me to go over you with and I will explain it as best I can. I ensure that you know exactly what the syllabus is asking and I put emphasis on questions which are the most likely to be asked in a test.
Before the lesson I would expect the student to tell me the area they wish to look at that week. I would read around this area, therefore being prepared for the class. At the start of each lesson, we would spend a short time reviewing what was said the previous week.
In order to teach something effectively, you yourself must know the content wholeheartedly. Being able to break down complex processes into simple terms which people can understand. That is my approach to teaching, first I make sure I completely understand what I am teaching, then think of ways to break down any complicated concepts into easy to understand steps.
When I was in my high school, which is for gifted student only, my major was maths. I was also interested in Physics and Chemistry, and quite good on them. In the national test to run into University, my mark was 28/30, which is the highest one in my province, and I am confident that I will bring you the good results not only for your study but also your thinking process.
My teaching method is centred around the idea of critical thinking and reasoning. If students can reason the answer with themselves or me, they are much more likely to understand the process involved. This in turn builds confidence and logical thinking. I in turn guide and provide a soundboard to bounce ideas with.
I teach by using real world examples and applications. I keep very organised and colourful notes and diagrams to engage students that may have trouble understanding from their teachers. A typical lesson may start with background knowledge, moving into applications, and then answering some practice questions.
To firstly understand the student. Then to convey formulas and ideals of such ways for the student to understand them. I take my lessons of school quite seriously. Where as I am not a more so tertiary student. I follow direct plans but, once contradicted I do not react in bad faith, I simply work towards the understanding of my student and always up to inquire about their troubles.
I am a big fan of creating shortcuts in order to teach a difficult topic. I believe it is important to see problems for what they are in smaller chunks, in order to facilitate easier learning. I also believe in the power of doing numerous practice questions in order to hone one's understanding of the topic - and ultimately achieve better results.
I have a Bachelor Degree of Science in Chemistry and Post Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning (Secondary Education) from the University of Southern Queensland. My areas of specialisation are Science and Mathematics. I am a Chemist and Registered Teacher.
I am available to tutor on Monday and Tuesday afternoons as well as Saturday mornings. I would be able to teach students of varying abilities and age levels in anything up to Year 12 General Mathematics and Year 11 Chemistry. My lessons would mainly involve working through allocated classroom work with students and explaining it in a clear and concise manner.
I would say practice and repetition are essential to mastering Mathematics, and the basics and fundamentals of maths are often overlooked in Years 11-12 as it becomes expected knowledge.
I believe different students seek tutoring for different reasons, some students are looking for a more one on one experience because they find learning in classrooms crowded and difficult. Some students are looking to reaffirm what they've learnt in the classroom and wish to improve their marks for a better ATAR.
I like to teach in a very friendly and amiable manner, promoting an environment where the student feels free to ask questions and engage in conversations about the subject being taught as he/she would do with a friend. I try to relate the lessons being taught to things you observe in your day to day life as I think this makes it easier for students to remember things.
I believe each student has a different way of learning and try tailor the lessons to suit this. I believe in a mixture of fun activities and hard work, a level of respect that goes both ways. There are no dumb questions that can be asked, and if I don't know something I will do everything in my power to find the answer.
I approach each lesson differently by tailoring my sessions to the students needs, wants and abilities. I am experienced working with remedial students, those with disability or educational difficulty as well as gifted and twalented students.
My teaching method focuses on the student teaching me about a particular topic or formula. I believe that if the student is able to explain a particular concept to me then he/or she understand the topic themselves. If not then I will assist the student in anyway possible to make sure he /or she is not only able to memorize concepts but be able to apply these concepts in everyday settings.
My teaching method is based around the students way of learning. I believe everyone learns differently and for the best outcome it is important to have the best method. For younger students it’s important to maintain their concentration and interest. I use sheets from past teachers, my own makings and the interenet. I will make sure I explain things until a level of understanding is achieved.
I have done my bachelor's in telecommunication engineering. Now I am doing my masters in the same field from the University of Wollongong. In order to better deliver the content, I study about the given topic before approaching my students.
Myself a PhD student at ISEM, Innovation Campus Uni Wollongong. Basically I am a chemical engineer with Nanotechnology and materials related background .I am currently doing my research in Lithium ion batteries bit more focused on material science. But I can handle all subjects related to physical and chemical sciences even with basic mathematics.
I'm a doctor by profession and recently decided to get post graduate qualification.
I have good communication skills, confident, enthusiastic, encouraging, punctual, creative and disciplined person. I have vast teaching experience of Primary level.
My philosophy in the classroom is centred around students achieving their personal best in a positive and supportive learning environment. I recognise that all students are different; their learning styles are different, their interests are different, and they are all going to achieve to a variety of levels.
I am a Bachelor of Science (chemistry) student at UOW with a consistent score of 85% or higher in all chemistry subjects. For lessons, I go through weekly material with students, and focus on areas which they appear to be struggling. I help with assignment questions by working through problems alongside the student.
My focus would always be to remove any doubt that comes to your mind even if I have to research a lot on it and give the students a proper understanding of the concept so that you can solve any problem based on it.
I highly believe in personalised learning as I think every student is different and learning how they learn best is the most important part in effective teaching. I also believe in teaching the significance of a subject to a student as I found that if students see a reason behind their classes they achieve higher grades and are more motivated.
I am a kind of teacher who's main aim is to make students get a firm grip on the basic concepts and help them to use that knowledge to build upon other concepts and skills.
I follow on with the module order dictated by the teachers and either further explain or build upon the knowledge given after assessing how much help is required.
Personalized approach to suit the students pattern of thinking. The same concept can be interpreted diversely, it is often this that makes a student fall back as they simply don't understand the tutors interpretation of it. This is why I consider it important to follow a personalized approach not just for the student in question but from concept to concept.
I base my lessons specifically on what topics the student needs help and/or struggling with. Each student learns differently so my lessons will be catered towards them. I prefer to do one-on-one lessons so that you get the most out of a lesson, but willing to teach groups (max. of 4) for cheaper rates.
Always the best method to success in maths is applying logic. My methodology is to teach the students how to achieve those logics. Because, we cannot step into the last step first. We need to climb each steps with care.
To be certain of the quality of our tutors and their teaching,
we collect the reviews of all former students.

Perfect! Lakshmi is a perfectionist. She masters her skill. She's an excellent teacher. I am blessed and grateful to have Lakshmi as my son's tutor. Thank youuu so much. We appreciate your help.
Perfect! Sadly, the tutor disappeared without any prior notice while assignments and exams due ahead and its no way that to found replacement towards end of academic year.
Perfect! I would recommend this teacher. He is an excellent tutor
Perfect! Sjoerd has really helped with my chemistry, he is very patient and understanding. He will explain the problem until I understand. Each session becomes a little more understood and I even have a lot more motivation to study for organic chemistry.
Perfect! Remarks from my son Gabriel "She explains things clearly and gives enough questions to do. She is very patient and kind. She always asks you questions to make sure you do the work, and then she makes you do questions from what she taught."
Perfect! After only an hour with Morgan I have fullunderstood at least 2 weeks of work that was covered in class. Morgan's explanations of the topics that we went through were very clear and concise. She also made learning fun and applied real life examples...
