I love sharing my knowledge with others and teaching topics effectively, passionately and in a variety of ways. I am excellent at explaining things, well communicated, friendly and approachable. I am certain that my students will finish each session which a clear understanding of everything covered.
In problem subjects students can often feel frustrated or embarrassed that they are struggling which can severely impact their motivation to study that subject, causing a vicious cycle of dread around it. I have found the best way to help students is by breaking down the subject into the core skills that aren't so intimidating and finding different ways for them to recall information.
Chemistry is best taught when it is made relatable. I use common examples and everyday occurrences to make complicated aspects of the subject easily understandable. I asses each student's ability to learn and teach using methods that are most suited to their needs in order to best retain information.
I am currently studying my 2nd year of Medicine at JCU. During High School I studied Maths B and C, Chemistry and Physics. I am happy to help with homework, explaining concepts and practice problems. I can also assist with assignments or anything that you require.
My lesson structure for science is inquiry-based learning assisted with visual aids to gain conceptual knowledge of the underlying key ideas of science. Understanding why science works assists students apply their skills to difficult problems. The use of science glossaries to obtain and retain word knowledge is paramount.
My teaching method is understanding not every student learns in one set way. This means I will take the time to understand how each student works and what the best mode of delivery is i.e. through videos, audios or hands-on learning.
I'm a Medical Laboratory Science student in JCU and we are taught intensive biology and chemistry in our course. Also Biology and Chemistry is my favorite subjects when I was in high school. So I will be teaching you how to understand Biology and Chemistry in an interactive way.
My teaching method varies depending on whether it is individual teaching or group teaching. It also depends on the student's depth of knowledge in a particular subject. One of the important aspects of teaching is to not give away the answers too quickly. It is important to get the students to think about an answer and try various times before giving away a solution.
I like teaching students Visually, I like doing examples and asking students to give a try until they feel as though they are confident with the content.
My teaching methodology will be according to the student who will be approaching me, I can teach in an order from basics by chapter wise. It will be always up to the student. I can help as much as I can.
I accommodate a large variety of teaching methods for auditory, visual and practical learners. I believe anyone can learn anything given the right approach. I begin with looking at class outlines, weekly homework tasks and assessments. Then I go through previous quizzes or exams.
Focus on helping students with what they're struggling with and trying different ways of explaining it until I find one which works for them. I would spend less time on tasks which they already understand as they can practice this on their own.
I have completed most of my schooling in townsville, I was a high achiever in high school with dux in chemistry and also received high marks for my performance in biology, maths and physics.
I am a straight A student in Maths and enjoy the subject unlike many other people. This gives me a drive to succeed and see other's succeed. The kind of students I can teach are grade 9 or below and also primary school students.
I base my classes on the needs of the student. At first, I try to have the student come forward with areas that they need help with. Then I design an individually tailored program through the use of a wide range of resources including sample essays, past papers and worked example. In the lesson time itself, we will address the areas of most concern.
I make sure that the student listens to me, understands the material by making them repeat the core and help them solve complex problems that will come on later with the material that I am teaching. I believe the student should do homework as this will make the student think independently and solve the problems alone, to make him or her ready for exams.
I teach with a very structures routine, with a clear expectation placed on students as to what they have to do to succeed in both my classes and their school.
I am a very capable, patient teacher and learner. Very flexible and understanding when teaching. I am great with kids, this doesn't however limit my ability to teaching only children. I am willing to host or come to you, this is not an issue.
Whether you are an auditory, visual or kinesthetic learner, I will help you help yourself. I will envelop my lessons to best suit your style of learning and to help you uncover your potential. You would've hear the saying 'Practice makes perfect' but that is not true if you are repeating the same mistakes.
I am a very energetic, positive and encouraging person as I believe that everyone has the same amount of potential to reach a common goal and all they need at times is a little bit of encouragement along the way. I treat my tutees as individuals and this means that no two tutees will ever receive the same lesson plan.
I tutored friends and students in both high school and university. Currently have 2 other students I am tutoring. I base the teaching approach off the individual. We all learn differently and it's important to understand that to find out the most effective learning approach for each student. This is about students learning and acquiring the help they need to succeed in trouble areas.
I am a first year student at James Cook University. I enjoy helping people, especially kids and students. My lessons are targeted at any type of student who is in need of assistant. Together, we can figure out a way of learning and teaching that can help you the most.
I ask what the students want first. What they're goals is and there desired outcomes. I then look through there assessment of the term and map out the dates for when we want certain milestones done. I will also assess any previous work done and see how that can be improved on.
I treat students as individuals- this means that no two lesson plans would ever be the same. I believe that every student has the same ability to achieve their goals and all they need is perhaps a little help from a tutor. I approach lessons with positivity and I encourage my tutees to face difficult subjects with enthusiasm instead of dread.
Depending on the student’s needs, I like to base my classes on either guiding the student to understanding concepts or exam questions. I like to encourage students to ask questions and from the questions asked we can explore the concepts behind.
My teaching approach is inclusive to the student, utilising a variety of professional scientific resources I have accumulated from prior teachings. I am supportive and insightful for my students, withholding a strong focus on inclusitivity and positive reinforcement.
