It varies from student to student. I always start my lessons by having a quick chat with the student, just to see how they are. We then get into the content, using some games and other activities to help with the subject matter. We then finish off with a quick lesson review.
Lessons are one-on-one Professional & Private Tutorials For Students in Primary & Secondary Schools and Colleges Excellent Learning Techniques for obtaining a High Score Effective Learning Plan with a Focus on Exam Preparation ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ABOUT ME Masters in Chemical Engineering I...
I base my classes on my students' needs. If they bring in a syllabus or curriculum I often begin from that so that the information I teach is relevant to them. If my student is struggling with a certain area, I focus on that until they feel confident. I can cater to my students preferred way of learning, whether it is visual, oral or textbook.
I like to target areas in which the students highlight on their own as a weakness. Once these weakness are established, one is selected for the lesson. Firstly, the fundamentals will be gone over in depth before working through problems (external problems and problems given in class) . After this, any problems the student is stick with in school will also be explained.
My teaching method depends on the student and studies they undertake. I am strict with pre reading and homework for progression of the students learning. Problem solving is a priority as well. However Im easy going person and flexible to accomodate.
Students can come with their textbooks/questions/notebooks and we can work on the problems they are struggling with and cover the course content in an intelligible manner. I have a wide range of notes, tests, worksheets and mock exams plus their answers and offer an easy, patient and comprehensive tutoring style so students can easily understand the course syllabus.
My teaching method is more of relating the studies to real life. I am sure we relate to things that we see daily than to things which we find virtual & read & see in the books. Lessons will be completed before time just to make you correlate what the lessons actually meant. I have tried implementing what i have learnt through my research jobs.
I have taught maths, science and chemistry for 18 years to grades 7-12 level students. Over the years I have also gained degrees in Applied Sciences, chemical engineering prior to gaining diploma in teaching maths and science. Now I am studying project management courses at Curtin University. I love teaching chemistry most with the content knowledge and skills I posses.
My lessons are personalized to the need of the student. Typically this includes multiple explanations of concepts in different ways, question-answer based learning and teaching my students how to apply their knowledge in an exam and real-life situations. Use of diagrams an analogies are common in my lessons to cater for visual learners.
I am a student pursuing Engineering Masters Degree at Edith Cowan University, Joondalup. My classes focus on increasing the practical knowledge of my students and are exam-oriented. I myself being a student can easily provide all those trips and tricks out there, to score the maximum. Classes can be conducted at places of your choice.
My teaching style is to introduce the topic to the student as easy as possible in order that he/she is able to engrave it efficiently. Plus, the topic is not finish until the student is able to explain the topic to me freely.
I am a teacher that activates student engagement to achieve lasting desire to learn, research and discover. Many teaching institutions don't cater for physical learning styles (kinesthetic and visual); whereas I like to start my tutoring with a brief walk in nature to get the blood pumping followed by using diagrams to condense the writing and memorisation required by the student.
My teaching method is to go through specific subjects, questions or topics that students are stuck on and need help with, and go through each one until the student understands it. I will make practice tests and any other study methods that they/ you would also like me to include.
My sessions are based on students' class work with relevant and related extension/catch-up background as necessary. I prefer to explain things with references to real world examples where possible, as I find this is particularly effective for helping students to not only learn, but also apply the knowledge.
I am a final year Neuroscience student previous Nursing degree student and a future medical student, who have scored well in ATAR and would love passing on a helping hand onto students who needs help. I am good in Algebra and science.
- One to one tutoring at your own home - Chemistry tutoring to school students up to year 12 - High school certificates awarded for Chemistry - Willing to focus on different learning skills to tailor to each student to help them understand concepts
I am looking to tutor Year 10-12 students at any level in maths (including spec), chemistry, physics and economics however am capable of teaching younger students as well. I use resources I have accumulated over the years to help students improve their understanding of concepts as well as develop test and exam skills.
I am currently studying radiation therapy in Curtin University in WA. My lessons are mostly for Year 11 and 12 students that are preparing for their university entry exam (WACE). During lesson, students can come to me with questions they are confused about or request me to explain in a particular topic that they are not familiar with.
I have completed a Bachelors in Biomedical Science and I am able to tutor students in biology and chemistry (High school or University level). I am able to help with university or high school assignments and prepare you for examination time.
It doesn't matter what your current academic abilities are, I'm looking for students who want to better themselves with their schooling/studies. My lessons focus on breaking down a topic into its key elements and teaching them with as many techniques as possible (explanations, examples, diagrams, graphs etc.
I primarily tutor Year 11/12 students studying Chemistry, though I am capable and willing to tutor students from years 7-10.
Hi there! Looking forward to helping you with your studies. As a tutor, I'm all about helping students understand their topics and addressing any question which they may have. Being a university graduate and already having some experience in tutoring in the said subjects gives me an edge.
My method of teaching will be base on understanding and examples. I will try to find a simpler explanation to some difficult things. Personally, I find solving problems or practicing exercise one of the best ways to learn. Therefore, most of the time we will probably be doing questions together.
I prefer to deliver content in such ways that relates to the student. I prefer to ask the student what it is specifically they are having trouble with and go from there. My methods include, step by step processes to tackling questions and progress observation reports written by myself. I provide helpful tips on study advice and healthy revision habits.
I like students to come to me with the problems they're facing, instead of teaching them something they already know. I like to work through problems by giving the student a direction to work in and not the answer. If a problem still persists then i can give a different perspective or example to help them work through.
My approach for teaching is always based in getting to know my students, empathising with them and steering lessons towards a unique experience tailored to help them learn the subject on hand. A key point of first starting with any new student is establishing where they currently are with their understanding and having realistic goals that want to be achieved.
My lessons are designed to fortify what is each student is learning in the classroom. I encourage students to bring difficult homework questions or learning points they need clarified for us to go through together. I like to work through questions with the students so I can explain how I arrive to answers and they can use that same method by themselves.
Before the tutoring lesson I will be asking you what area's of the the subject you are struggling with and what kind of help you need. I will also have a look at your course outline and recent results for that subject. During our class I will start off with a basic understanding of the topic and then give you worksheets to apply the theory to questions.
I can provide extra learning activities (or tutorial questions) to those who would like to apply their knowledge further from what they gain in lectures. I am very patient and can work at your pace. I can provide other resources besides the standard textbook.
I really aim for my lessons to be student focussed. If the student tells me the area of the science they are finding challenging. I will devise a method to get them to fully understand it after asking them a line of questions. Chemistry can be intimidating, but if you understand the few underlying principles, there is little to memorize. All is applying understanding.
