During my years in Buenos Aires, I worked as an English teacher at the prestigious Holistic Institute of English, based in Buenos Aires. There, not only I learned how to teach but also how to do it with holistic, creative, learning activities. Moreover, I'm a music and art enthusiast and I usually include these as teaching tools.
I have 11 years experience tutoring students from High school, TAFE, 1st year university and adult bridging courses. I have achieved a double major degree in chemistry and biology, with a minor in mathematics. In order to get the best results from my students, I tailor my lessons to suit their needs.
Every student is unique. I base my lesson structures based on the individual needs of the student. I also implement a variety of visual aids, interesting questions, and problem-solving approaches to ensure that the student truly understands the fundamentals of a subject. I try to make my lessons as engaging and interactive as possible.
I try to change my method of teaching according to student's needs. Generally, I prefer to involve the student in the subject, by trying to let them explain what they understand about it. If they have an exercise to do, I want them to be able to do it by themselves at the end.
I am able to fast-track a student, ahead of the school syllabus in order to provide enough time for exam preparation or I can also assist with school homework as I am incredibly flexible with my teaching and can tailor to the student's needs. I can provide many materials for exam preparation, including past papers from many of the top NSW school and provide effective study tips and techniques.
My teaching method is supportive of all students. I base my classes of any necessary needs the students will have. I approach a topic by asking questions to see what the students know and what needs developing to help them to succeed to the best of their ability.
My teaching methodology is interactive, i always like asking questions to make sure that students are involved and fully attentive. Moreover, i am friendly and like to listen to students demands and never get bored of repeating the subject several times until the subject is 100% clear. I usually end the class with a couple of exercises to ensure that everything is on track.
I understand that there are various learning styles and usually spend time to get to know which environment my students learn best in. This is why I try to make sure all my classes are tailored to how each student absorbs and retains information best.
I am very enthusiastic, friendly and humorous. I really love working with primary school students because they are so curious about everything and I absolutely love that attitude when it comes to learning new things. When it comes to tutoring my friends, I always find out what they don't understand and need help on. I then teach them that topic to improve their understanding.
I like to let my students guide the lesson. I will come prepared for anything within their syllabus however, they are the one who know what they need more assistance on so will answer their questions and ask if they have any questions. I also ask for any practice exams or quizes so I can come with prepared answers.
My teaching methods are based around each students learning style and the work they are currently undertaking. I am happy to supervise homework or make up my own work sheets to provide the student with the most comprehensive understanding possible.
I will adapt my methodology to your expectation and level.
Firstly, I am open to answering any questions students have at the start of the lesson. If there are not many questions, I can explain concepts that students are struggling with and provide sample questions at the end of the lesson to solidify the concept.
I understand the students can feel like all their content is jumbled facts which they need to remember, and then they often find themselves overwhelmed. I tackle this problem by looking at the concepts and seeing how the components all connect and helping the students understand each part separately and as a whole.
I would love to teach lessons related to any topic in Math and Physics .My teaching method is a bit different, I follow the following way: 1. I try to make the student feel the benefit of the contents . 2. I try and teach with examples that can be inspiring or funny. 3.I try to create an anticipation of my curricullum. 4.I make sure that students see, hear, and feel the material themselves.
Each student is unique and has a different approach to learning. As such, I structure my lessons to tailor best to the individual student and situation so that students may reach their full potential. The key to learning is understanding and it is important to have a solid understanding of foundational concepts on which to build further knowledge.
As an experienced supervisor and examiner at the postgraduate level, I am familiar with the requirements of university courses in chemistry and chemical engineering. My career in Industry has also given me an insight into what employers look for when selecting science graduates.
My primary goal is to cater to how each individual student learns, as I understand everyone has a different approach. I aim to focus on this to capitalise on students' success. Having recently graduated high school myself, I know how important it is to be thorough. I also know the importance of not just recognising facts on a board, but understanding the concepts behind it.
I first try to figure out if there are any fundamental issues going on, since a good foundation is essential for diving into the more specialized subjects. Afterwards we work on the specific problems the student is having and tackle each one along the way.
My teaching method is interactive. I believe in collective growth and I can help out with other study platforms and subjects. I like to be fully equipped with my curriculum, along with building a presentation and conducting exams, and surprise quiz.
I have experience teaching or tutoring: Biology- up to undergraduate level Chemistry- up to year 12 Maths- up to year 10 English- Up to year 10 Writing assistance- up to undergraduate level Japanese- Up to intermediate level I don't believe in one teaching style. Each student is different, and depending on the subject, will need a different approach to learning.
Getting to know my students is extremely important, it develops a strong communication level that makes me approachable and more than just their weekly tutor. Lessons will general consist of discussing what has been taught at school since our last meeting, ensuring that they understand everything.
My teaching method is very hands on, I endeavour to be as thorough as possible at a pace best suited to the student, teaching the most up to date material of interest utilising textbook material and images. Agreed times will be strictly adhered to cancelation or late notice is available 30 min prior to lesson. Lesson charges begin at the agreed time.
my teaching method is to ensure students understand the topic and able to apply it on a case study basis.
A knowledgable person does not necessarily make them a 'good' teacher. A good teacher is someone that is able to project that knowledge in a way that enables their student to understand and retain. In understanding how the mind works, I approach teaching with a strategic method to help my students learn with constructive thought processes and in a way that helps them empower themselves.
My Teaching methodology includes : • Dedicated, resourceful education professional with proven ability to: create and monitor policies and practices that promote a safe learning environment • Ensure a class culture that encourages continuous improvements for teachers and students; develop an environment that encourages open communication with colleagues, students and mentor educators in the
I am very easy going and try to focus on what the student is having difficulty in. I believe that teaching should be fun and at the same time productive for students. I try to explain things in a basic way so that it's easier for students to grasp the concept effectively.
My philosophy of teaching is that every student has a potential and ability to do, teacher is to help the student exploring that potential. My teaching methodology is based on making thing easiest for students in any possible way; by drawings, lectures, videos or performing at student level.
I am a young person, who understands that school must be fun for it to be beneficial. My lesson approach consists of many visual aids such as interesting models and videos. I also include fun games especially for the review of content and a lot more fun activities.

Perfect! Sjoerd has really helped with my chemistry, he is very patient and understanding. He will explain the problem until I understand. Each session becomes a little more understood and I even have a lot more motivation to study for organic chemistry.
Perfect! Jacob is an excellent tutor and I highly recommend him to anyone struggling with mathematics. Prior to lessons, Jacob has looked and worked through the content I am doing at school. This is so he could prepare modelling and problems solving...
