I believe the most effective teacher ensures the subject matter is relevant and applicable to the student's individual needs and environment. I teach with passion and vitality in the hope my students find the learning process exciting and achievable.
I like to adopt a friendly, interactive approach with students, ensuring they understand what I teach and are free to speak up when they have doubts. My teaching method is going over the question/task at hand, and providing tips on how to tackle said questions; this may include model answers for students to look over.
When teaching ESL or JSL (Japanese as a Second Language) subjects, I find taking an active learning approach is effective. I prefer to find out what my students want to learn and where they are at with their learning and base my teaching catered towards these needs. Wherever possible, I like to teach in a way that is engaging and fun. I am patient, conscientious and creative.
Each student is different, and has different ways of learning. I think that the best method of teaching is to understand the dynamic nature of each student and tailor the method to his/her preferred methods. Some like to be challenged, while others like to have their personal space. I am always open to feedback and to altering my ways.
I enjoy using Bloom's Taxonomy, which derives its structure from the philosophy that learning takes place in three hierarchical models, classified into complexity and specificity.
I belive that practice makes perfect, so if you don't put in any work, you can't expect results. My focus is practical use of the language (speaking, listening, reading, writing) and I have had a lot of success with various students who became more fluent in day to day interactions.
I am happy to structure my teaching method around the needs of the student and their best learning style. I find theory combined with practical experience is generally one of the best ways to learn.
I follow student centred methodology as I believe that it is the best way to comfort student to help in learning a new language. I approach students with simple and attractive lessons and activities to clear their fears and doubts regarding the subject.
My lessons will be based on what the student is needing assistance with. I will make lessons fun and interactive and work closely on areas that need improving through activities designed to make content and structures stick in the mind.
I like to create a friendly environment so the pupil is relaxed and stress free. I choose to start with some warm up activities and slowly move on to conversations in English and will correct and teach when necessary.
My approach to students is highly personalised. A lesson would break down information into manageable chunks that involve spoken and written practice. I am patient, dedicated, and encouraging to all students, I believe each mind is capable, and with a bit of creativity can tap into their potential.
I work from home, in a relaxed atmosphere in my library, first taking the time to fully understanding the skill level of students then tailoring a program to correct issues and fill gaps in learning to enable correct business English to be learnt.
I like to teach English language using specific books with lessons and also connecting English language with real life situations. Also, I use English songs, movies and books to enhance teaching and understanding of English language. My priorities are English grammar, writing, spelling and speech.
I approach teaching based on the needs of the student. After consulting with the student and/or their family, I'd organise a lesson which best suits their needs.
For ESL students, my methodology will be totally flexible and dependant upon the current skill level of each individual student. I will assess each student and develop lesson plans to suit their needs and help them reach their goals. In this way, my lesson plans will be tailored for each individual.
Agenda before hand, there are 4 learning styles, written, kinetic, audio and visual, primarily teach via a written method of learning but am flexible in teaching styles to student's learning style. I am also a very patient teacher and take different students personalities in consideration with my teaching styles as well.
My teaching method is to encourage student to be interested in English. I will ask students to motivate themselves through the learning process, such as making their own learning objectives, and choose the exercises that they wish to do. Besides, they need to think out their own learning methods.
Throughout my experience I have discovered I am most passionate and confident in educating the early years levels, and creating curriculums, lesson plans, teaching materials and activities for these crucial first years of a learners life.
I will have my lesson plan ready and like every student prefers, I would like to be a teacher who is well prepared before every class. I would love to incorporate various resources that includes writing, reading, listening and watching as different individuals have different ways of grasping information.
My teaching method is based on both face-to-face tutoring and small groups. From a class room to a place of your choosing, it is flexible and convenient. Evening and weekend classes also available. Focusing on small group provides the high quality support you need.
My teaching methodology is predominantly a student-centred one. I follow the standard patters (Cambridge standards) for lesson plans and the execution of the same in the class for various topics / sessions, be it productive, receptive and/or language presentation etc.
I try and adapt my lessons around my students, I dont believe in a one size fits all approach. Thus, when i am starting out with a new client I like to explore a range of different resources and tools and see what the best methodology may be moving forward.
I like to help people learn to love language as I do. Our ability to express ourselves, and understand others through their expression is a gift. I aim to offer a structured program that caters to all levels. I try to offer students practical learning that they can apply in their everyday life, to aid in the retention of new knowledge.
I approach a topic by getting the student to outline what they feel they most struggle with and helping them to conquer any barriers that might stand in their way e.g. the feeling that 'it's all too hard' or 'I don't understand any of it' and working through that with them.
Experiential Learning Less Teacher Talk Time and more students' participation Engaging classroom individual, pair and group activities Focuses on Communication Skills (grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and written) I believe that students should have plenty of hands-on experience throughout their classroom learning.
My teaching methodology is following how I am trained from TESOL courses. Prepare document and materials that suitable for students ability. Offering variety ways to let students learn. As well as considering different types of students, make sure they get suitable ways to learn.
Firstly I believe in lifelong learning and I am constantly educating myself through reading and writing and keeping abreast of new technology, politics, economics, culture, philosophy and religion, for example. My tutoring relationship with a student would be based on this philosophy.
Learning a language is a full-time occupation. Unfortunately you cannot have an English instructor on hand 24 hours a day. But you can have regular lessons, and thanks to the internet, you can have regular lessons online and hand in any extra work, or practice speaking on a daily basis.
I schedule short quizzes and monthly tests with revisions. Believe in preparing the lecture before delivering. Choose creative ways to help students understand their studies. Engage with parents to provide reports fortnightly. if needed provided extra notes and time to reach the required goal.
My teaching methodology encourages collaboration and engages students in complex thinking. If students don't have an assignment or classwork they are working on, I will provide specific topic materials. I work from a strengths based perspective and encourage students to challenge themselves.
