As I am a pre-service teacher, my hands-on experience is minimal. Though, the lessons I have taught have always been fun and engaging! I believe education is the greatest gift a child can receive, and it is a privilege to become a teacher and a tutor.
I base the course on the purpose of students, for example, if they wish to pass the exam, I will focus on exam techniques. My teaching philosophy is to "teach less, review more". I prefer to teach students how to effectively learn by themselves, and review the content I taught on class through some activities which can motivate them to participate.
All of my lessons are individualised: at first, I will spend some time getting to know you and understand your goals, strengths, challenges and learning style. Broadly, I aim to ensure that the student has a sound understanding of the subject.
My lessons will be revolved around any problems/struggles a student is having at school/generally with English.
My teaching method involves understanding the student and what he or she wants out of studying this subject (i.e good grades, a better understanding of the subject etc.) My lessons often include me checking on the weekly tasks I set (often quite small yet effective). After this, I go through the content with the student and work with them to see where they can improve their work.
I would like to approach topics based on a student's capabilities, although normally I would go for teaching him/her the concepts, giving practice tests, and then reviewing his/her answers. However, I am willing to adjust to better cater my student's needs.
My teaching methods are interactive, communicative and student-friendly. I focus on those areas that are relevant to the student - speaking, listening, reading and writing. I provide creative and inspiring lessons and I am encouraging and motivating, helping you to improve your English skills.
I'm a Singaporean who graduated with a journalism degree from QUT, and a diploma for creative writing and new media at Singapore Polytechnic. I've always coached my classmates and helped them with their English assignments, and they've improved with leaps and bounds. I'm able to teach all forms of English, be it basic, intermediate, or in any varied art form or expression.
I encourage exploration and fun while learning. It's also important to know the basics, then you can build your appreciation and understanding at the same time. I have a love of the English language, and I try to instill that same feeling in my lessons.
Qualified and experienced English Language and Business Studies teacher and Academic Manager possessing 12+ years extensive teaching and academic management exposure with ability to effectively communicate with students of diverse background and varying degrees of language ability.

I would need to assess the students English level by reading comprehension, written skills, vocabulary in terms or oral language to determine the starting point that greatly benefit the learner. Oral language-workshop-blends and correct use of grammar Writing Comprehension-does the writer get their points across in the manner they desire.
Hello my name is Anya Howard and I hold a Bachelor of Education and have three years of primary school teaching experience. My English and literacy teaching style mainly is based on the Speech Sound Pics (or SSP) program which helps students to build comprehension, through learning different sound patterns.
Lessons are usually of 40 minutes duration. Emphasis on inter-action between tutor and student involving conversational English with structured development using a text such as Longman "Cutting Edge" or "New English File". Together we choose a topic, choose the experience and work through the lesson. Materials, as necessary, are provided.
I was the top of EALD in my cohort for both years 11 and 12 during high school, so I know the structure of the subject very well. Whether you need help in essay writing, how to form your synthesis or practice your english practicals, I am able to help and give helpful advice and tips on how to improve. I am also able to communicate in Chinese.
My lessons for General and Conversational English are fun, engaging, communicative and always related to real life. IELTS preparation lessons are based on structured British Council-designed methodology and on numerous practice tests. If you prepare for Academic English the lessons will focus on improving your written and oral language skills to the level required in Australian universities.
First, let's make a goal. What do you want to accomplish through my classes? Once we have a goal, I can build classes around your goal, as well as your interests. During English Conversational Classes, my client should be able to speak as much as they desire, and feel satisfied with what they accomplished during my class.
Encouragement! In my experience, the most common problem native Chinese speaker encounter when learning English is lack of confidence. I try to encourage my students as much as I can to help them overcome this problem.
I use The Rassias Method. The method aims to "make the participant feel comfortable and natural with the language in a short period of time" and involves "teaching procedures and dramatic techniques which seek to eliminate inhibitions and create an atmosphere of free expression from the very first day of class".
I am a teacher who will not only help you understand the concept but I will also make you put the concepts I teach you to practice in real life. Aside from that, I will also give you some worksheets to help out with your practice on English. I will start with the basics for grammar and then move up gradually as you feel fit.
I enjoy the world of education and academics because of its long term importance and usefulness in everyday life. That is why I base my lessons around real life examples and scenarios by combining academic knowledge with day-to-day practicality.
I want to base my teaching on what each person needs. Everyone can learn and succeed and just needs the right assistance and teaching methods to do so. I want to provide a very supportive and open-minded approach to everyone I meet :) Most lessons will consist of analysing extracts from texts, essay writing and the literary perspectives applied to these forms of essays.
I love teaching via doing.
I base my classes on practices of engagement - utilizing students' existing interests to help build their understanding of English usage.
While traditional methodologies such as the audio-lingual and direct methods still offer useful elements, they’re clearly outdated in the modern classroom. 1.The task-based approach focuses on the skills and competencies students actually need. 2.The project-based approach builds on the task-based approach using specialized activities. 3.
I base my teaching on ensuring that the student understands the concept fully before moving onto advanced/difficult problems. I believe that true understanding begins from the habit of repeated reviewing of one's work; therefore constant effort is required to produce an outstanding yet consistent work.
My teaching will be based on the basic English language, incorporatd with the Byron Bay surrounds and helpful tips and hints for those who are visiting or for new residents. I am a fabulous listener and communicator, and my teaching style is full of humour, fun and variety.
My teaching method is to make suitable comfortable in the participation and the involved activities, and I would like to provide lessons on team work which will inculcate the spirits of friendly environment and a sense of cooperation between them.
I believe the teacher is a facilitator. I always aim to create a collaborative learning environment where time is spent engaging with the ideas being learned instead of passively listening to the teacher. I tailor my classes according to what it required by the respective class or student.
I am a highly enthusiastic and innovative teacher, and I strive to make my lessons fun and engaging. I differentiate lessons accordingly, and include both whole-class teaching and small group instruction in my teaching. I believe that relationships are key to successful classroom/lesson management, and always encourage my students to do their best through motivational and positive reinforcement.
