As a multi-strand tutor, it's my pleasure to design alternative learning strategies for my individual students, according to their learning style, hobbies and long term goals. In particular, I love to assist people by incorporating second languages, music and art into the mix..
I start my beginner students with a lexical approach to the language, and then incorporate grammar slowly and clearly. I try to break down grammar structures and help my students "think" like an English speaker. I also cater to more advanced students looking to prepare for a test, interview, or just wanting to brush up on their English.
I see where each student is at and work with them step by step through their work together with them. I also provide pop quizzes when they are feeling confident enough! I also like to work with your materials if you prefer...
My teaching method is and has always been focusing on my students' most urgent learning needs to help them gain necessary skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening, acquire confidence in expressing themselves in English, and therefore I practise a personal approach in teaching my students and design classes for them individually.
My number one focus point is encouragement; I am committed to making sure a student knows when their efforts are valued and encouraging them to excel while making sure to celebrate their successes. Flexibility and patience are also important to me: I love finding the right way to explain a particular concept to an individual student as each student learns differently.
My teaching method varies from student to student. Well, I do believe that every student has strengths and weaknesses. So, as a tutor it is important to work on the weaker areas by providing the customized study programs based on individual needs. This will result in overall development of the students.
As a fully qualified English teacher, I have been teaching literacy, English, and Religious Studies for 4 years. In between work in schools, I have been offering private tutoring as well as being involved in not-for-profit group tutoring sessions for primary students. All in all, I love the school that I am in now, and I know what it takes to be a great academic success.
I firmly believe that a thorough needs analysis is the basis for developing individual teaching programmes to address learning needs. People are individuals and not everybody has the same learning styles and preferences, therefore the same program won't necessarily fit every student. In my experience students are motivated to be successful if they have a say in what and how they are learning.
My teaching method depends on your knowledge and course basic requirement, from there we will determine which rout to take, and with a fully trust that I will teach you with a concept to provide you the best knowledge I got.
My teaching methodology is soundly based on the TESOL methodology. This on its own is more than ample to teach 3-4 new words per lesson to (for eg) Vietnamese students (of all age groups 2 y/o to 60 plus y/o) that cannot speak or understand English.
Grammar and reading/writing/listening skills are given a lot of importance. Handouts with rules and examples are given to the students about the topic. I make sure students write their own notes while given to help them remember faster. I present old answers test papers which are grammatically incorrect and ask the students to identify the mistakes/false answers and give out the correct answers.
In my classroom we work with fun. I am not here to tell you that you are wrong. We work together as a team and learn at a slow pace, so that everyone in the class is understanding and has a chance to speak up if they are struggling. I even like to use find-a-words with my students, this helps with the correct spelling and pronunciation of the words they are searching for.
Since I am a student myself, I am always prepared. It is extremely important that there is a sense of comfort between a tutor and the student and I aim towards that. I am a young adult myself and understand how studies can affect a student and have a philosophy that what i give you as an input must yield an output. There must be work put in from both sides.
My teaching methods are dynamic and also interactive depending on the learning styles of each of my students. I make sure I adopt a teaching method that best suits my students. I also make sure they understand what I teach very well before moving to the next topic. Teaching and learning Materials used are very reliable and proficient. Lessons will be done online.
I don't like to teach with conventional methods. I use my tried and tested distinct method and also try to incorporate whatever I learned during the CELTA training. I put the students first and try to give solutions to individual problems rather than providing generic solutions.
My teaching method is a hands on learning experience where I provide students with tools to help comprehend topics in an easier to understand way. I want students to feel independant while still having the assistance to build upon their own knowledge.
I evaluate students through verbal and written exams and identify areas needing improvement. My classes are then based on tasked assignments to reinforce learning. I share instant feedback to motivate students to continue learning. My plan of action will align with the student's needs and interests ensuring full engagement from the students at all times.
I base my classes on the day to day livelihood that enables foreign students to perfect their English skills to reduce language strain while communicating with others. My teaching methods include reading novels and watching movies with rich English vocabulary.
I graduated with a double major in english and italian at the University of Tasmania in 2017. My lessons have a duration of one hour. I start the lesson by writing notes and giving an explanation with the use of a whiteboard. I then proceed to a fun activity or work sheet.
I am an English instructor with a pretty good knowledge of English Teaching to second language learners. My experience as a University English instructor has paved way for experimenting different teaching methods as required by the target student group.
Languages are a lot harder to learn when you don't enjoy it. So, I like to keep it fun and adapt it to YOUR needs. What do you want from learning English? Why are you studying? What are your goals? Where do you want to be in the future? By knowing the students' needs, and how they like to learn, we can make lessons interesting and productive.
As the English language is popularising and growing exponentially overseas, obtaining sound and proficiency in the language is key to success. Through this, there will be worksheets to compliment your reading, academic vocabulary and listening skills to enhance your English skills.
I use a variety of course books. I also assist students with any course material which they have to study for a university or college course. Any field of interest will be taught. I also use newspapers and other materials which ensure that students practice everyday Australian English. Idioms and colloquial language are explained.
I based my classes according to the students levels and planning lesson and activities based on their preferred learning style and which can make them enjoying the lessons
I teach in an easy and fast learning technique. I follow a very effective practical teaching style by identifying the students weak points. I teach students using applied English used in today's top professional world by personal tutions and online study material. I recommend students to have a face to face session because it's a language and it's all about communicating with each other.
I am friendly, outgoing and efficient in my approach to working with students and teach them using various strategies and technological aids and aim the lesson to their level and ability while at the same time building confidence in them to use the language according to their needs.
I'm a great tutor due to my easygoing and fun personality with great command of the English language. I've had online tutoring experience with Chinese students. I just love the English subject. So many ways to go about it; be it poetry, essay writing, grammar, letter composition, idioms, jargons, or even writing your own short stories, and so on...and on.
• No conventional teaching class. • Students will lead the class by thinking and doing. • I am the one to offer students assistance and guidelines to help them progress in learning. • I will not tell students each question's answer, insdead, we think and discover together. • You will not simply learn English in my class.
I base my lessons on the needs of the students. They need to learn what is going to help them achieve what they want to achieve. If a student needs to develop his/her speaking skills to get a job, then that's what we'll work on. It's all about giving students what they need to succeed and achieve their goals.
I like to meet my students in a relaxed setting and create a safe space for us to explore the language without any judgement or criticism. We simply get to know each other. We are both able to pause the conversation to discuss any mistakes or ask any questions. Then we carry on the conversation.
