Learning by practising and doing it hands on but especially understanding what it is being played. Flamenco could be a challenge to learn but once the basics are understood, the rest just flow. Theory and practise are always together with the joy of the learning process.
My teaching method is based in proper hand and stick technique. Technique means freedom. Also we will be learning traditional West African and Latin rhythms , and their function, covering tuning , timing and soloing. We will also be focusing on modern applications and rhythmic approach.
My method is based on my own experience with music. It contains feelings, technicality, music theory, various rhythms, exercises, group work and combination with different instruments and also dancers. I’ve divided my musical trainings into various levels. We are going to have graduation parties at the end of each course.
Private Class: The class consists in knowing the student and needs with respect to the drum or percussion instrument that wants to learn. Knowing your tastes is fundamental when developing styles and technique.
