I am a passionate and reliable dancer who is willing to do everything I can to help. My lessons will be geared towards doing what you would like to receive from me.... some of those things may be: choreography, strength and pilates training, technical training, positive re enforcement and confidence boosting lessons etc...
I'll be able to give industry specialist training and strong training of technique while still having fun. I also specialise in improvisation and will be able to guid students through those tool. Was trained in a Russian method based ballet school so have very strong understanding in ballet.
Offering coaching for R.A.D ballet syllabus, repertoire and free form contemporary for students of all ages. I’m about injury prevention through proper technique and strengthening exercises. Practice really does make perfect. Students must be hardworking and enthusiastic to achieve the best they can be.
I base my classes on each student individually. After an initial lesson where I assess the student’s strengths and weaknesses, I create a progressive syllabus that we will work on for the time that they have with me.
My teaching methodology is practice, focus with elements of fun are crucial to developing a growing dancers mind. Especially in younger dancers, keeping things changing while still focusing on fundamentals is key. I like to challenge dancers with different movement vocabularies to broaden their view of what dance can be.
I believe it is extremely important for students to have a voice and be able to express their needs and feelings. If they find something challenging, I will find a way to break this down until it is their second nature. In contrast, I will find ways to challenge those that want to be pushed and challenged too.
My method consists of first focussing on the skills of each individual, then working to further develop these skills. When I create, I accomodate to each dancer whilst still designing the piece to be challenging to give the students something to work for. Dance is supposed to be challenging, thats half the beauty of it when it is performed with ease.
My teaching method is that I base my classes on commencing with a fifteen minute to twenty minute warm up involved strengthing, strengthening and aligning the body in preparation for class. Then commencing with techniqual exercises to get a solid foundation of technique whilst encouraging the student and having fun at the same time.
My teaching method is to concentrate on the fundamentals of movement that further develop your skill level. My research lies in incorporating a Mindfulness practice into dance training and how our awareness of our holistic self can benefit our optimal dance training.
I have danced as a Principal dancer with Royal New Zealand Ballet Company, the English National Ballet, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, and the Royal Danish Ballet, then as a ballet master on retiring from performing.
My main passion and style of training is stretch and strengthening with a strong jazz and ballet background, I work on students technique as well as their flexibility strength and stamina.
I teach a range of styles including, Contemporary dance, Ballet, Jazz and specific event choreography (eg Weddings, flash mobs, parties). I can focus my lessons on specific techniques required for each lesson.
My teaching method is very much based upon development of technique and exploration of movement that surrounds an intention or meaning, to which can be pieced within choreography. My lessons are geared toward those who wish to improve or refine their skills within multiple facets of dance including choreography and improvisation.
I will cater my class to the individuals that we all are. i believe visualisation is the most efficient way to get where how and what we want when dancing and in life.
I have been teaching on and off for both private lessons and group classes since 2012. I can teach competition solos, class syllabus, and competition group dances as well as open ballet classes, open contemporary classes, improvisation classes, choreographic development classes and much more! My class format and style depends on the students and our goals for the class.
My teaching method is opening their minds to see the art and different stages of dance. i base my classes on performance and technique. i approach topics by teaching them the backgrounds and the feeling/story that is given to each dance performance.
I approach each class differently depending on the children I am teaching. Age and level of difficulty always comes into affect. I always try to make it a fun environment while pushing them to be the best dancer they can be.
Every lesson would be perfectly designed to each student keeping in mind his/her preferences. It is essential to develop techniques to keep the body healthy and avoid injuries. We’re going to travel around the body possibilities and connect with it having a great time.
I love teaching the basics - to form a good foundation for the harder steps. I think it's important to take things slow sometimes, unless you're up for the challenge! Most of all, dance is about fun and personal expression. It will always be about making you feel comfortable in your own skin, while getting a good workout at the same time.
I would like to focus on private lessons, and have a reputation for greatly improving technique and performance skills. My private lessons are geared towards fine tuning performance pieces, teaching new choreography if required, and giving drills to improve technique.
I break down my classes into sections, I begin with the basics then continue into more difficult exercises and skills
I enjoy teaching all levels and all abilities all I ask is that you give it your best shot and make the effort in class and you will see results. A typical class would be - 20 minutes warm up - 20 minutes technical focus - 20 minutes choreography.
My teaching methodology is influenced by my exceptional exposure to excellent personal coaches in Ballet and Yoga in New York, USA, and being exposed to the techniques, i.e. Cecchetti, Vaganova and English methods of technique. I use what I most value.
The teaching method would depend on the style of dance and level of dancer, but each class would consist of a warm up, center work, and small combinations to practice. I believe every dancer has their own area they excel in which would be highlighted and we would work together to make the dancer comfortable doing all moves.
I like to teach completely based around the individual. I am able to run private lessons for RAD students to better their technique before exams. I can also run private lessons for students wanting classical or contemporary solos for competitions.
The way I teach is adapted to meet each student's personal needs and capabilities. The lesson typically starts with a warm up and stretch and then focuses on what the student is wanting to improve/learn whether this be solos, technique etc.
I take particular care in working within the limits of children's physical ability paying particulat attention to correct technique applied
I work to develop my students holistically, and focus on highlighting their strengths, whilst minimizing their weaknesses. As both a high school and studio teacher, I can help students with exam prep, choreography, assignments and technique in ballet, jazz and contemporary.
I like to make sure that all the kids are having fun and enjoying themselves while dancing. Making sure I know how all the kids learn and making sure that all kids are on the same page.
I always choose a story to tell or a topic to talk about and that’s where we start.
