Currently studying a bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Wollongong. I am a very energetic and enthusiastic person willing to guide students in enhancing their ability and skills in the area of Mathematics. Lessons will provide students with written and hypothetical examples to help develop their understanding towards the Mathematical areas of algebra, trigonometry, and statistics.
My philosophy in the classroom is centred around students achieving their personal best in a positive and supportive learning environment. I recognise that all students are different; their learning styles are different, their interests are different, and they are all going to achieve to a variety of levels.
My PASS classes I held had a lesson plan, but was entirely flexible depending on what the students wanted to cover in that lesson. These worked best when students brought problems they were struggling with, as they were more engaged during the lesson.
I believe that there is no single way of learning that caters for every student. I try my very best to cater for these unique learning styles by communicating with my students what they really need, such as clarifying concepts or guidance on challenging questions.
I want to make the tutoring experience an enjoyable one, so as a tutor I can tailor each lesson to your needs and offer you personalised lessons.
I love teaching students in high school, starting from grade 10.
Hi! I'm Mina. I graduated from year 12 in 2015 with an ATAR of 91.85, having studied Advanced English, English Extension 1 and English Extension 2. I currently study a Bachelor of Performance as a Dean's Scholar, with a dedicated academic focus.
I am a PhD (Civil Engineering) candidate at the University of Wollongong and have a passion for research and teaching. My methodology for teaching has always been interactive and guiding the students to grasp the concept rather than mere cramming. Further, helping the individual with the practical application of the theory in real world problems.
In historical, sociological or political learning the geopolitical background to your study allows you to have a unique understanding when preparing papers on your selected subject. I teach exclusively via online tutoring either via skype or typing directly to your queries.
I am an experienced online tutor eager to encourage students to understand History as a basis for connecting with today's society. I love sharing the joys of our historical past with students helping them to better their focus so that when giving answers they will experience the sensation of what history has taught them.
My teaching methods are very flexible and differ greatly from one student to the next based on what we both decide would advance their learning best. I aim to give students a very personalised experience, becoming well versed with what it is we will be studying and offering them relevant literature that I think will help further their writing style and understanding.
During my PhD study, I was well trained to give my ideas clearly via eye-catching PPT slides and effective presentations. These skills prepare me well in teaching, especially in explaining complex concepts with simple and vivid styles. I adopt distinct teaching strategies for different students based on their own learning habits.
In order to teach something effectively, you yourself must know the content wholeheartedly. Being able to break down complex processes into simple terms which people can understand. That is my approach to teaching, first I make sure I completely understand what I am teaching, then think of ways to break down any complicated concepts into easy to understand steps.
I am passionate about sharing my love of English to younger students. I remember the academic demands I faced during school, and because of this I am empathetic with my students and their individual challenges - I want to see my students reach their academic potential.
I like to work with every individual student when I'm either teaching or tutoring.
Hi guys, I am a science enthusiastic person studying Bachelor of Physics at the University of Wollongong.I have a dream of making math and physics enjoyable and simple to kids. Hi there! I'm a recent university graduate offering tutoring services for PSYCHOLOGY - tutoring at all levels for assignments and exams. I also offer tuition for primary school children in all subjects up to grade 6. I can help with exam preparations, proof reading, assignment help and any other areas you need assistance in.
Lessons are usually of 40 minutes duration. Emphasis on inter-action between tutor and student involving conversational English with structured development using a text such as Longman "Cutting Edge" or "New English File". Together we choose a topic, choose the experience and work through the lesson. Materials, as necessary, are provided.
My focus would always be to remove any doubt that comes to your mind even if I have to research a lot on it and give the students a proper understanding of the concept so that you can solve any problem based on it.
My lessons are tailored towards students who are currently struggling in Mathematics (and Math related subjects). By focusing on what the student is struggling with (whether it be algebra, geometry or worded problems) I believe that we can make great strides towards improving their Mathematical and Logical skills.
As a science teacher, we are encouraged to base our teaching methods on the 5E Instructional Model: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate.
I like to teach my students by introducing them the basic formula. Although I don't have a lot of experience teaching, I am fairly capable of teaching high school students the basics of mathematics. I also have a lot of experience interacting with students and make it interesting for them to understand and learn.
my lessons are for all the students even if someone didn't studied maths properly till grade 6. i believe in teaching the concept of topic we are doing and how can we use it later. everything we study has a reason behind it once we get that it becomes more interesting.
Laid back, fun approach to learning. I will run any lesson a student wants, something informal or I can run a 1 on 1 class for the student in any topic they desire. I am not a teacher, rather an older fellow student that has learned it all before. I will always go over an hour to ensure we finish the work we need to do.
My school of thought with French is to develop a relaxed and clear atmosphere for the student, and to develop a positive and friendly relationship with them. This method allows the student to learn in a casual manner, and to understand the language as it would be overseas.
I believe that practice makes perfect and that 2 heads work better than one. My lessons are intended for finding where the student is having a hard time understanding the subject, then working together on multiple exercises that focus on the difficulty until both I and the student are comfortable with questions that cover that topic.
When I was in my high school, which is for gifted student only, my major was maths. I was also interested in Physics and Chemistry, and quite good on them. In the national test to run into University, my mark was 28/30, which is the highest one in my province, and I am confident that I will bring you the good results not only for your study but also your thinking process.
My name is Carmen, and I am currently going through Year 12 attending Smiths Hill academic Highschool. My passion in life is to teach people who hate the English subject to understand and love it. My future goal is a Highschool English teacher.
I am good at maths, especially algebra. I am from the Philippines, however, I finished my high school education in Malaysia. I am now currently studying at the University of Wollongong as a business student. I am not strict, however, I am not nice either. I give tests almost every meeting.
My teaching methods can vary depending on your needs. However, I believe the best approach to the HSC is completing practise papers and this is the only approach to have shown measurable results! I like to focus on exam preparation and methods as well as the concepts behind what is being asked.
