Meet and greet first off. I generally try to get some background information of completed subjects and what the student wants to achieve. Then begin with the subject they want to learn. Teach the relevant information, but try to tailor my teaching to suit the student.
My method is interactive learning which is adapted from BBC language programs.
Lessons are geared very much to students needs and wants - is there a specific purpose? School outcomes? Business presentations? Improved skills generally? I always find a way for students to learn and succeed. Learning should be knowledge, understanding, creative and success. If success is not achieved, a teacher must find a way for a student to achieve understanding and success.
