I like to have students’ involvement in my class rather than simply lecturing so that I usually conduct some discussions, role plays,individual speaking sessions and so on.
My teaching method is based around growth mindset where anyone can be a successful maths student; effort equals success. I believe everyone can succeed at mathematics and having strong understanding of mathematics in the early years provides a strong foundation to build on for the future. Math can be fun and enjoyable, I love sharing in a students journey to success.
Very Montessori, meaning using the senses, make what you are teaching tangible, prepare yourself and be fully present for the child/student. Keep a detailed record of what happens during each lesson to prevent 'gaps' in comprehension or understanding. Have a positive and constuctive attitude no matter what because learners pick 'things' up between the lines...
As the main responsibility of a teacher is to provide knowledge and information to the students, I believe that trust, loyalty and understanding is a key to an effective relationship between the teacher and the students, which is fundamental to successful achievements.
