My lessons are participatory and individually tailored to the needs of students. Online tools are used to help support learning to help make the process of learning fun and interactive. Lessons will typically consist of an introduction to the topic, examples of use, followed by student exercises to help reinforce learning. These can be individual and small group activities.
My approach to teaching is first learning what students are really interested in achieving, and to help them find their own point of view. My teaching method will vary depending on if the classes are one-on-one or group based. Obviously one-on-one would be more detail orientated. Class structure would be to first train your ears to recognize the frequency spectrum and what instruments are coming through at what frequencies. Then we shall move onto recording techniques before learning editing and mixing.
