My teaching method is and has always been focusing on my students' most urgent learning needs to help them gain necessary skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening, acquire confidence in expressing themselves in English, and therefore I practise a personal approach in teaching my students and design classes for them individually.
I try to understand the student's level of understanding on any given topic and based on that I tailor my lessons. It depends on every individual. I design my lessons in a way so that I can make sure the student is grasping the concepts in an effective manner and is able to implement the knowledge without further trouble.

I work with students errors and areas of weakness to remove the errors from their speaking and then focus on developing vocabulary and the ability to speak on a variety of topics. I also usually like to give written homework connected to the speaking topics we have covered in our lessons as I believe this helps the lesson to stick in students minds so that they can remember things more easily.
I teach based on the foundation that if you understand the concepts in maths then doing the questions is about asking yourself what step do I need to do. As someone who's fluent in two languages (English and Mandarin) and have been studying another two for six years (Latin and French), I adore languages. At the same time, I have struggled through HSC French and Latin. Having survived them, I can safely say I've gained some solid study tips and exam techniques, which are often more important than simply memorizing vocabulary for HSC.
I am naturally curious about life, I find questioning my learnings, teachings, and philosophies one of the best ways to obtain clarity as well as to constantly learn and grow.
