I first like to understand what my students want to achieve at the end of their classes. Be it learning the basics, learning a completely new dance style, further developing what they already know or just preparing for a performance. My teaching style will vary depending on the comfortability of the student/s and their end goal.
My classes are based on the needs of each student. We can focus on grammar, pronunciation, listening or vocabulary. If you are a begginner, we need to start from the basic concepts of the language and focus in grammar for while.
My teaching method is and has always been focusing on my students' most urgent learning needs to help them gain necessary skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening, acquire confidence in expressing themselves in English, and therefore I practise a personal approach in teaching my students and design classes for them individually.

As your kid's tutor, I would assist in explaining concepts they may have difficulty understanding or simply improve their ability, knowledge or motivation for whatever topic is needed. I believe that for difficult subjects it is the job of the tutor to break the problem down into bite size steps for the student to grasp. This may not always happen at school, and requires a good private tutor.
To me - teaching English means designing a needs-based course so I address all desired outcomes and relevant competencies, incorporate all learning styles, demonstrate passion and enthusiasm, show respect for all students, give regular encouragement, share useful knowledge, English language 'tips' and undergo practice sessions using a variety of appropriate age-relevant learning and assessment...
I have one-on-one classes with students, whereby I correct and explain their Task writings and Speaking errors. Furthermore I then show students appropriate vocabulary, structures, grammar and other features for them to attain their required Band achievement or Band score.
I work with each student to learn their strengths and challenges in the area of English, and encourage them with engaging and challenging lessons, helping them to improve their confidence in expressing themselves using both written and oral English.
Without a doubt, the most important things for my classes are motivation and fun. Every class is focused not on a set lesson plan, but instead on what the student wants to achieve, tailoring the lessons personally and individually based on their needs. Every class is as hands-on as possible, and each student receives additional bonus credit work to attempt in their own time.
My teaching method is quite flexible, I could offer any styles or types of lessons fit my students. I don't like to teach with conventional methods. I use my tried and tested distinct method and also try to incorporate whatever I learned during the CELTA training. I put the students first and try to give solutions to individual problems rather than providing generic solutions.
