My teaching method is based around breaking things down, whether it's deconstructing texts to find their themes and the literary devices that are used to show these themes, or breaking down a huge topic into key ideas that can become topic sentences in an essay.
History is a series of stories told by people, but if presented as dates and battles it becomes stale and boring. My lessons are gear towards opening up the topic and examining the similarities and differences with the world we face today and how students can relate to them. Having a wider view of the world can only enhance the experience of the students.
I am an outgoing, patient and friendly person who loves to learn. I have a passion for motivating people when it comes to a new subject, as I feel that when someone is excited by the material they are engaged with, then they have a greater chance of succeeding. I also like to use analogies, in order to make content more accessible and understandable.
I want to know where you are at on the journey to learn to read. Once that is established we can extend the distance you have travelled. The best way to assist is by building through an educational relationship based on honesty, trust and understanding. This shows your learning style. To do this I must get to know you, the individual.
My lessons are student focused, which means that I teach the things you need to know to meet your goals. Lessons are very structured, and include reading, writing, speaking, grammar and vocabulary skills. You will enjoy classes developed just for you.
I focus teaching directly around the syllabus and objectives from the course outline, maintaining a focus on the true learning outcomes. I also assist in exam preparation with tips for effective study including past papers, breaking down questions, sentence and essay structure and stress relief.
My teaching method will be shaped around each individual. Everyone learns differently so there is no point of having a set method. Whatever a person is struggling with i will spend time with them to get that until they understand it. The main aim is to summarise theory and then to work through practical problems to apply this knowledge.
I base my teaching method more so on understanding and dissecting questions rather than memorising course work. This gives students a distinct advantage as it allows for lateral thinking, a very useful and beneficial skill. Each lesson is customised to your needs and will focus on what you want to achieve in both the short term and the long term.
The basis of my teaching method revolves around dissecting the question and applying the rubric to your advantage. I find that in this way marks can be maximised, while also allowing you to develop your lateral thinking skills. Lesson structure will be catered to your needs, where we will focus on what you want to achieve in both the short term and the long term.
I like to make learning fun. I want to incorporate what the students are interested in. If they like animee, then we can discuss this and write about their favourite characters and why. It is all to help them get involved and enjoy the lessons.
I teach in context to practical approach and textbook given by the school. I belive I can help my students understand what they are studying and making sure that they understand what they had been taight. I dont give too much homework so that the student can relax and enjoy the next class.
My approach to each session is to first looking at what areas need improving and what areas the student is worried about. After looking at these areas, we then go into breaking down each section in a helpful and educational way.
My teaching methodology is a student-based learning and collaborative learning. I believe that students taking control over their learning and approaching it in their own way will increase their learning potential and achieve their greatest achievements.
I love teaching people how to learn. Learning can be scary (especially maths) but it doesn't need to be. It can be fun! I like to work with each student as an individual. Each has unique needs and abilities and learning styles will vary depending on the student.
My main teaching method is based on reaching functional and conversational fluency through a combination of audio and written texts in order to foster passive language skills, as well as conversation practice and written questions to help develop active language skills.
I am patient and my primary focus is making sure that students feel comfortable in the environment and believe that when children feel comfortable this will optimise their learning capabilities. I would make sure that students understand the fundamentals of a subject and then build from that. if students need help with homework or study techniques I would be of assistance.
My teaching method is focused on what the student is struggling with, as well as a well rounded approach so they are completely understanding the topic, not just the assignment they need to complete.
I like to get to know my students and set work for them that is individualised. Reading books is the first step towards successful school learning and learning to read does not take very long. It only requires a short amount of practice daily.
I intend to teach in ways that are unique to each students learning a style with the aid of powerpoint presentations that I had during my undergraduate courses.

Assessment of learning and lessons driven by point of need. All students learn differently and this needs to be catered for.
I make sure I adapt my teaching methods suit the child and how they learn. I think it is essential to be positive when teaching as negativity can decrease confidence in a subject.
My way of teaching is to first see what level a student is at then work around the areas that they feel they need help in most
I will tailor your course based upon your needs. Tell me what you want to be able to do in English. We will find out what you can and cannot do yet. We will set your goals and build a course from there.
Hey there, I'm Mykayla. I focus on teaching Year 7-12 students who need help with developing or refining skillsets such as essay writing or literature analysis. If you're here, I'm guessing you want to improve, which is great! I love to keep a positive mindset in all that I do.
As l am student still, l get a first hand experience of what l believe is the best teaching methods. This includes a lot of face to face time with the students and pushing the individual to apply their own knowledge first before l intervene.
