I am not a formally trained teacher but have instead conducted classes in an informal setting in my own home. I work towards connecting with the student and establishing a rapport.
My teaching Phylosophy is to think not only about what is good for today but to have a long term plan and focus for the future.
My teaching method is to adapt to every student differently depending on their needs. Every lesson we have a specific focus for the week whether it be writing and naming different notes, focusing on hand structure and fingering, or specific scales, arpeggios, pieces or exercises. I teach grades and just simple pieces to play for pleasure.
I always try to make my lessons interesting and fun. It is important for me to make my students happy by being patient and understanding. It is important for my students to fully understand what is being taught and to then practise this until they can use the targeted language.
I believe that most people learn in an environment that makes them feel comfortable. I do my best to create a comfortable learning environment for my students. I also work hard to create lessons around the needs and learning styles of my students.
Depending on your needs, I am flexible and we could discuss about this during our first meeting.
I believe in approaching cooking with a calm attitude and enjoying the tacitile experience of cooking and eating. I generally focus on fresh uncomplicated dishes with a few elements which provide balance, however I can teach to cook a range of styles. If you become a student I will meet with you before lessons commence to work out what you want to learn and how to best teach you.
I have personally experienced and witnessed the simple fact that when we give ourselves the right environment & nurture our Body, Mind & Heart we have the ability to be & live an extraordinary life.
It is student orientated. So the progress is aligned with the student's will. So since I will be teaching a language, we start from scratch. The alphabet, everyday words and phrases, grammar... I speak fluently two languages and I am competent in two more. So through the years of my own studying and learning I have realised that practicing and repeating and the use of paper and pen are invaluable.
My teaching method is to try and demystify the confusion often arising from the study of music theory by giving students opportunity to directly apply it to their craft, whether as instrumentalists or composers. At it's heart, music is a common language, and the learning of it should be accessible to everyone.
I try to demystify some of the confusion arising from learning an instrument by giving students opportunity to enjoy music making for its own sake, both at the lesson and at home. At it's heart, music is a common language, and learning of it should be accessible to everyone.
Planning is very important. Everything must be ready to go and clearly set out. In my personal cooking classes you learn how to cook delightful, delicious food in the kitchen. My teaching method works around the student/students and how each individual needs to be taught. Patients and a lot of hands on work is very important.
It is important to find which medium, tools and subject matter work for you. This can only be found through experimenting! Be connected to your work...tell a story. I find my best work evolves over several courses and is telling a personal story...sometimes one I did not expect.
I approach each student differently From realis to abstract Art can be exspressed or directed it’s up to the Indervidual
My teaching method is very flexible and tailored to each student's needs as I believe the best way to learn a new language is to relate it to topics and situations the student is most interested in rather than spending hours on a grammar rule on a book. Of course grammar is necessary but I think it can be made fun and easy by applying to what you are most passionate about.
My priority is fostering an enjoyment of music through the development of the whole musician and my lessons integrate piano technique, music theory, aural skills and musicality in an engaging way. In addition to classical training, I am supportive of teaching popular music selected by individual pupils to add further motivation and enjoyment to the learning process.
I can help students who are in college or university, or who intend to go to one, develop good written and oral skills that wil help them. I do this by paying attention to individual student's needs and developing appropriate content. Students who work with me will have a range of practical activities to do, based on relevant and desired outcomes in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
