For physics and Math lessons I usually introduce the idea or concept to the student, mostly I relate the application it has in their day to day life. Then the student is introduced to problem solving techniques in that particular topic.
The essence of maths is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple. I, as a tutor make maths look fun and easy for students who have difficulty in solving even the most basic questions of maths.
My teaching method is quite personalized (i.e. It varies from people to people as I don't believe in a blanket method for all). But I do use text as well as videos in my teaching to help with student's understanding.
My name is Gleb, I give math lessons to a wide range of students from high school to university's undergrads. I will help you to follow up your school or uni program and obtain new knowledge based on your current level.
* Cover core concepts which can be validated on all situations. Once the fundamentals are clear, difficult problems can be broken down in order to simplify solutions. *There are no mediocre questions, one should always know how to create a pathway for an optimum solution (minimising complexity and time constraints).
My teaching is a very interactive approach where I use my students help to link topics and lessons. I found this method quite successful in making students remember for a longer time as their participation provides opportunity to learn and explore on their own with keen interest.
The key to learning science and maths is not being a genius - it is appreciating the underlying beauty of the ideas that are being presented, and hungering to dig deeper.
I have completed a double major in specialist mathematics in college and graduated with an ATAR of 98.75. I teach mathematics to high school level students with efficiency in mind. I explain problems logically and in a step by step process.
I can demonstrate what I will teach in a practical way, building a big picture and then add details. I can use software to visualize what I will teach, trasforming abstract mathematics to visual image and making boring mathematics alive.
I would like to consider myself as a potential candidate to make the best use of my strong interpersonal communication, ability to manage difficult situations and resolve problems and maximize my knowledge. I believe, teaching is a learning process and that is why I prefer to name my lesson as "interaction session". That means, a session is not only teach students but also fulfill their desire.
* Science educator at Questacon - the National Science and Technology Centre * Masters in maths/science education from ANU * University Medal winner * ATAR 99.85 * 10+ years experience in maths/science education and tutoring I am a skilled tutor with more than 10 years experience and a passion for teaching Mathematics, Physics, Science and French.
Hello! My name is Zoe Knight and I am a recent graduate of a Bachelor of International Relations and I am currently undertaking my Honours at the ANU. Having been raised in many countries around the world - Portugal, China, UAE and Australia - I have a solid understanding of various teaching methods which I believe works to my advantage when tutoring.
My approach to teaching mathematics is to break harder concepts into their components and help students come to their own understanding of these smaller components. This allows students to build connections between simple & intuitive examples and more difficult examples.
I have always wanted to work with children and am passionate about their safety, wellbeing and diverse needs. I believe that teachers are the foundational building block for students learning and integration into society. Being a mum, I know all children learn differently and are talented in different areas; this is something I will be sure to highlight with in my classroom.
I believe in making connections and having fun while solving math problems. Having taken a similar approach from my early days, Math is ideally a game that should be played to win. I guarantee to change the way you will conceptualize Math problems in the future, from boring to fun.
My teaching method should be based on the students' interest, mostly I would teach based on the textbook of my students and also plus some extra notes and material I think it is relevant and useful. Examples-based method applied so that students can access knowledge in easier way.
Teaching Mathematics, I believe is very different from teaching any other subject. Mathematics is an art of thinking where one needs to condition their mind to think and view outcomes from the framework of logic and data. My methodology in teaching mathematics is to showcase how math works if we scale down our problem to a very small scale and then gradually work upwards.
I always adopt a 'fun and learn' approach by linking the taught lessons with everyday applications in real life. In this way, I have been able to make my lesson interesting even for the students who fear mathematics. I have proven ability of making my subject areas interesting for students from any background.

Hi! I am Thiysuri, and I am currently studying Bachelor of Information Technology at UC. I completed my Diploma in Information Technology last month. I was an elocution and performing arts teacher back in Sri Lanka, where I am originally from, before coming to Aussie for my higher studies.
I’m hoping to make my lessons fun and interactive like a visit to Questacon! I will feel a great sense of achievement if I can give you an “ahhh I get it” moment on a topic that you have been struggling to understand.
I try to find where a student stands first and then teach him/ her in the simplest way possible n so that they can grasp the concepts. My teaching involves regular tests to asses the student on an ongoing basis and providing assistance for the homework.
I have been teaching University students in Engineering and Management. A degree in Engineering, two post graduate degrees in Engineering and Management (MBA) and a doctorate in the Human Resource field was my perfect combination. Lately, I enjoyed teaching Mathematics to children in New Zealand.
I have over 10 years as a volunteer netball coach, teaching children between the ages of 8-18, and have found that I enjoy teaching skills, both sport-related, life or educational. I am a very patient person, and enjoy being able to share knowledge.
I will tutor your child to enhance and develop their mathematical abilities. I will teach lessons at a comfortable speed but still be progressing with their work and get ahead of the rest. I will follow your child's given "unit outline" and construct lessons through that. Before exams, I will prepare practice exams if they wish and go through final stages and polish up their skills.
The teaching philosophy is based on treating everyone on their own potential, identifying any key areas that need more focus, and approaching the problems from the student's perspective. The intention is to help you understand the problems from a more fundamental level, not just for the sake of the problem at hand.
I myself learn by doing it myself and this is what i mainly focus on getting my students to do. The lesson structure usually go for 1 or two hours and begin with a recap of lessons past learnt. Then discuss what will be taught on that day, following this i will teach the theory to a good understanding including examples.
For primary school, I usually find printable worksheets for what each child needs individually, including maths, science and writing. For high school, I write my own lesson plans with each week presenting a new topic and helping the child get an understanding of a subject.
My name is Aseniya, and I am highly enthusiastic about teaching and helping school goers in need. Both of my parents are teachers, so I believe this passion of tutoring comes to me quite naturally. The fundamentals of maths and physics are where students get confused the most.
I focus on desired learning outcomes for students, in the form of knowledge, understanding, skill and attitudes, assist students to form broad conceptual understandings while gaining depth of knowledge, encourage the informed and critical questioning of accepted theories and views, engage students as active participants in the learning process, while acknowledging that all learning must involve a...
